homeless woman from LiS spotted????

i was just playing before the storm episode 3 and the nurse working at the hospital looks identical to the homeless woman! she told max that she 'married dumb, made mistakes, got cheated out of my savings, lost my home' to end up homeless, so this could have happened after we see her here - or this could just be a very similar-looking model!

edit: just saw this post that said the exact same thing! it's cool that someone else noticed it :D

(fan game) life is strange: lost and found!!!!!

hey guys!

so i've been planning a sort of visual novel game recently which will build on a python game that i made that allows you to go to blackwell and meet a bunch of characters :) it would include a lot of choices and consequences -- a bit like Love is Strange! i love that game but i wanted to avoid something too similar, so here's the general idea for mine:

play as a student in blackwell at the start of the new school year -- everyone else is new, so you can make friends and meet a bunch of people!

the core characters you could meet would be max, chloe, rachel, kate, warren and victoria, though if i finish, i might add more people! :) [such as steph and dana]

the first week is composed of a few different subjects which you get to try out, and work with a partner (of your choice!!!) to complete your lesson tasks

there's a prom coming up in a couple of days! you get to ask a character if they'd like to go with you :)

since it's just me working on it as a fun project, it's a little less ambitious than Love is Strange, haha :D but i hope it'll be fun to play when complete! also your choices totally impact your outcome ^^ the next couple of months are unfortunately horrendously busy but i hope i can find time to work on it, and i'll post updates!

lo and behold, the game so far. it looks like a mess because it is! i'm just using images from google (the text box is from animal crossing) for now to figure out the story haha :D

bonus: a kate marsh sprite! :)

... okay in retrospect i gotta resize the sprites somehow... this girl fills like the whole damn screen

(if anyone is wondering i did change the title since 'welcome to blackwell' is also the name of an official LiS book you can buy haha :))

life is strange characters if they lived in england and were doing their gcses i guess???

im english and ilove life is strange so .why not. not entirely sure what the hell this is but loving it!!!

(also in hindsight a lot of these probably work for american skewl too.)

hate to say it but she would vape in the school bathrooms

does not care about uniform restrictions; dyed hair, never tucks her shirt in, piercings and painted nails... the whole lot

wears trousers even in summer because she thinks shorts look stupid (to be fair, they do... i would know)

in isolation 90% of the time

hijacks a lime bike to get to school

judged but really chill and smart

sleeps in and is late

all the teachers know her (just because she always gets detentions)

always says 'good morning' instead of 'here' during the register

perfect uniform but she wears cute badges!

only detention was for doing 'graffiti' in her book (doodles)

overly attached to her english teacher

perfect uniform! (except for her crucifix necklace :)

all the work gets handed to her in group presentations because she's the only one doing it

trembling 90% of the time

walks to school (the bus is too stressful)

picked combined science gcse so she could do music, psychology and art!

most teachers love her

never got detention

always half an hour early (gets up at 5am)

probably would break down crying if she did

picked triple science and computer science (and ENJOYS IT.)

small update! i haven't had as much time to work on it as i'd like, but i still got somewhere :) i was mostly just trying to compile and draw the sprites for now... i figured out how to do composite images, which is great because i can save each expression and outfit separately so i don't have to add like a hundred combinations for each character.

oh, and here's chloe! this is at the start of the game, but i decided to include her little blue tuft because i love how it looks :D

you'd be surprised at how crazy the code gets. but i learned some things, so it's pretty cool! now i'll start chipping away at the story, and variations of the sprites.
