Melanie sits at the bar counter, separating the kitchen from the living room, watching her parents cuddled on the couch. She stares at the woman pretending to be her mother with judging eyes. She shakes her head as she wonders how her father could be this oblivious. It’s gone on too long at this point. Melanie hops off the stool and walks over to her parents.
