New seiyuu trivia, this time for Tales of Xillia 2!

Trivia: Yonaga Tsubasa, the voice of Jude Mathis also played Tales of Xillia 2. He was also impressed by how Kondo differentiate different emotions and reactions for Ludger simply by one word.

Personal opinions:

Probably because of different variations of vocabularies in the West and Japan, Ludger is seen with more lines in the English Version, such as “You’re right”, “Agreed”, or “I’m sorry”.

EIZEN AND EDNA AAAAAAAAAAAAA

There are probably terms that are not familiar, I’ll try to explain as good as I can.

Magilou: This is a story in a certain mansion about a mistress and her servants. First of all, the troublesome maid, Velvet. Her catchphrase is:”I don’t want to.” and she frequently refuses her mistress’s request. She has a liking towards cleaning and cooking, but thanks to her unsociable attitude, she is not good at hospitality. The reason is apparently because she is shy about her maid appearance, but when someone points it out....

Velvet: ...I’ll send you to hell (meido).

Magilou: Next is the all-rounder head maid, Eleanor. She has responsibility for most of the work. She is an extreme perfectionist who won’t even allow a single dust to stay. That’s good and all, but she has a habit to change her ways into her goals...

Eleanor: I forbid anyone to walk through the dust-free floor!

Magilou: Moving on is the free-styled kitchen worker, Rokurou. He is too worked up over advancing knife techniques that he can only make sashimi and soba. But for some reason, he cannot cut gels.

Rokurou: Guh! The Rangetsu sword-style’s weakness had been revealed!

Magilou: Next up is the new butler, Eizen. He doesn’t even work, and yet he’s way too over his head. But since he has a rumor that he once worked in the underworld, the mistress cannot even complaint one bit. Not only that, he is a wolf in a butler’s outfit who is able to force the mistress even the guests to work with only one glare.

Eizen: You pick your worth (kaji) by yourself. Your housework (kaji)? Do it yourself.

Magilou: Then, there is also a soothing young butler, Laphicet, who is the only servant who listens to the mistress. He works hard at everything, but is awkward to everything to the very end! Everyone who sees his work, can’t help it but help him out too. In the end, everyone in the mansion has to work too. And sometimes, he falls asleep when doing too much work, so he has to be carried to his bed.

Laphicet: ....I’ll do my best tomorrow too.

Magilou: Last one is everyone’s mistress, Magilou! Despite being the mistress, she loves wearing maid outfits and cannot help it after being called “cute” by the others. In the end, she wears it too much and ends up having to work as well... She is troubled because no one seems to believe that she is the mistress... even her servants.

Velvet: ....It’s so pitiable.

Magilou: I know, right!?

Velvet: It’s so pitiable for those servants to work under that mistress.

Magilou: Hey!!

This is a DLC skit from the game.

Maid (メイド meido) has the same pronunciation as Hell (冥土  meido)

Worth (I’m not really sure how to translate this) is 舵 (kaji) and housework is also kaji albeit different kanji (家事).

Cuz I’m hyped for Persona 5.

The recording of Persona 5 apparently began in 2014, 2 years before the game’s release.

Malakim are immortals in age and there are a lot of malakim who have lived for more than thousands of years. Thus it is quite true that Eizen is young as a Malak but old in human’s age.
