‘Believe it or not, there are places that mortals don’t spread to.’ 

Lucette ignored her snarky remarks, focused on looking around. There weren’t any paths that suggested travel in these parts. Nothing really looked recognizable to her. She couldn’t see the sun to pinpoint her direction and the air was cold and thin, suggesting that she was at a higher altitude than usual. So she was essentially lost.

“Maybe I should just walk forward and hope for the best?”

‘Hope for the-Have you lost your mind?! Walking with no goal or idea of your location is the worst thing someone in your position can do!’

“Well, what else am I supposed to do? There are no noticeable landmarks around and I don’t recognize this place! In case you haven’t noticed, I’M LOST!” Now she was getting annoyed. Instead of being helpful, the voice was just being an ass. 

Ever direction she looked it was all the same. Some mountains with some snow, trees, trees, and more trees.

“HELLOOOOOOO! I’M LOST! IS SOMEONE OUT THERE?!” She screamed out louder, scaring away a few birds.

‘Yes, scream your lungs out in the mountains.That will definitely help.’ Lucette didn’t need to look at her to know that the voice was rolling her eyes.

“For someone who loves to talk and be right, I don’t see you giving any good ideas.”

Lucette cannot believe the levels of stupidity she was willing to sink to! What in Spiral possessed her to try out a hidden spell she found in an old dusty book?! And the book hadn’t even been hers!

“Let that be the last time I go digging through Maria’s things.” She mumbled, mentally kicking herself as she dusted off dirt from her training attire. Now poor Maria was probably panicking and having a heart attack somewhere. And where was she? Lost in the middle of….somewhere!

The environment around her appeared normal but something felt….off. Lucette knew for certain that this was not Valencia nor any world she had traveled to in the past. Which meant the spell must’ve teleported her somewhere beyond the Spiral.

“Damn. What do I do now? Uncle is going to be furious with me!” Lucette paced back and forth, lost.

‘I leave you alone for a few minutes and already you’ve gotten yourself into trouble! Where did you bring us to this time, girl?’

And of course, She makes an appearance.

“Nowhere that seems to be hostile, thank you very much. Just had a little mishap.” Lucette snapped back before looking around. Her instincts rebelled against doing this but, she needs to check.

“Hello? Is anyone here?”

It was rare that he would get any time off from tending to the matters with the clan, so when Kuai Liang insisted for him to take some time off to himself, the elder cryomancer only put up the most minimal of protest before warping himself out here for some quality time.

‘Be honest, did you come all the way out here just so you can spend time with me?’ Bi-Han rolled his eyes. The cryomancer stops, arms crossed over his broad chest, leaning against one of the trees in the forest; absentmindedly noting how beautiful Changbai Mountain woods are. This particular time of the year left only just a small amount of snow dotting the mountaintops, even thought the temperature remained a chill in the wind that felt so good against his skin.

The answer on his tongue hung there, as he suddenly noticed a figure in the distance. He quirked an eyebrow: how does one end up out here? Just how lost could they be?

Lord Ryuukotsusei of the East. . . Here he is! The man I’ve been thirsting over for the past two weeks. For those of you Inuyasha fans confused, I’ll explain. Yes, this is the same dragon demon that Inu Taisho fought against. For starters, I absolutely hated the way he was dealt with story wise. This was the guy who was able to go toe to toe with the Great Dog Demon General! And he’s just reduced to a one episode enemy? Hell no! Absolutely not! We fixing that shit. Secondly, while his design in the anime is...decent, his design in the manga is GOD AWFUL! It’s so bad and....cute. It looks like a Disney dragon. Yes, that bad. So yeah, expect a redesign of his dragon form soon. Thirdly, Why a human form? Because he needs it for my story, and I assume all Daiyoukais (which he is classified to be) can shapeshift into humanoid forms. Why he is dark skin? Because I said so. Anyways, I hope everyone likes him, I do so very much. The first half of the speedpaint is when I tried to draw him back in early 2019. It was during this month that I redesigned him. Kirinmaru is the Lord of the East yet it seems he has little interest in ruling it????? So how does it all work? Do the demon lords rule the lands or is it just a fancy title to show that they are powerful????

Kagome and Gaia’s Friendship

You know what I loved most about Chapter 8?

The friendship and teamwork between Kagome and Gaia. And the way they support each other.

This is Kagome’s and Gaia’s first fight (technically Gaia’s 2nd but she slipped into a haze midway in that one sooo....yeah) and the first time they (attempt) to use their powers with precision. 

Even when people were doubting them, the girls were able to make up a plan and communicate effectively with minimal chatter. A sentence or two, a gesture, and that was all that Gaia needed to understand. They combined their powers, that they barely understand yet, and pulled it off perfectly!

Well, almost perfectly.

Kagome trusts Gaia to have her back in dangerous times and Gaia trusts Kagome with the same thing, Despite being friends for a short amount of time, they were able to pull off a seemingly stupid plan pretty easily imo.

Its so cool to see and even cooler to write and it almost makes me regret what I’m about to do in the upcoming chapters........
