I don't know if this is a thing of the Italian fandom only but God, people can't really understand that the two statements "Kagome is Kikyo's reincarnation" and "Kagome and Kikyo are two different women altogether" are both true.
Also I kinda think that we are seeing too deep into it (for example, the problem of the soul, whose is the soul within the resurrected Kikyo?) for Takahashi first didn't trouble herself too much with that, instead since she said something like that she meant to create a "sensation of reincarnation" now somebody says that Kagome is not Kikyo's reincarnation but the manga just says she is, although not just "another reincarnation" meaning that she has something more.

I couldn't believe it before starting the manga but indeed some very VERY importart inukag moments in the anime are totally missing and Inuyasha never says anything as dull as "Can't I have both?" (actually there, in that scene, he is trying to put in words his trauma and his true feelings and Sunrise simply canceled it all). Though, I'm truly sorry to say that on the other hand the manga doesn't give that much space to Sesshomaru and his gang, Jaken and Rin are never shown in any of those situations through which they build their bond as it is in the anime and the same goes for Sesshomaru and Rin (so at the very least Sunrise did do something good, like giving us all their filler episodes). But in compensation I know that the Meido part is way better in the manga, can't wait to get there!
As for Kagome possibly left with some of Kikyo's hatred... Now I can't remember very well the anime dynamic but by laughing and joking in the manga upon Kikyo's resurrection, as Kagome still is unconscious, Kaede, Inuyasha and Shippo are REALLY worried that she could suffer from Kikyo's soul negative influence and the end of the scene is so funny and sweet omg!!
Kikyo and Sessh raising Rin also is something I like to think about some time.
One more last thing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your annotated edition of Sesshomaru compilation, it's so rare to find someone who loves Sesshomaru for being a pathetic loser, actually people in general can't even see him like that, they are so blinded by his composure and charme. Me too, to be honest, but still how can you fail to see the brat within stomping his feet?
I need to say that people who are mad at inuyasha for being Like That about kikyo dont realize that they were engaged. Kikyou was inuyashas fiance.

This chapter just feels so much heartbreaking in its beauty.
Did you notice Takahashi's use of images and onomatopeias? The way we can hear that "BOMP" of Kagura's heart as she sees Sesshomaru? To think that the very first thing she's felt through that so much wanted heart of hers just after got it was pain, and pain alone, physically and emotionally, and yet now she finally is able to feel something good, like a tiny light within warming her.
Naraku once again meant to prove his point that the lives of the weakest are meaningless. At least this time he could not win.

I know, I KNOW! Inuyasha even stood firmly on his feet and fought him with Sesshomaru's poison running through his body, Sesshomaru himself admitted that it wasn't wise to insist and left, but apparently they can't see that! You'll be told that Inuyasha every time could defeat Sesshomaru because of his friends' help but if it were a one on one he would be done for bc against a pure-blooded demon is a matter of fact that a pathetic half-demon can't do nothing. The real problem is that people really seem to have difficulty grasping the nuances in a given character. If that character doesn't act in every circumstance in the best possible way then he/she is already marked in their mind as "weak", "immature" or "evil". Even Kagome gets her shit because she "doesn't make the minimum effort to get some respect from Inuyasha". Ridiculous! She's just trying to be considerate with someone deeply hurt. Inuyasha practically is a person in depressive condition often on the verge of suicide, for God's sake!
That being so... it's GUARANTEED that Kikyo will be depicted as the essence of evil itself no less. Indeed Kikyo hurt Inuyasha in many ways, both unintentionally AND intentionally, but that doesn't make her a witch. At the very least she has some extenuation, and if not that, she can still have your empathy bc her situation too is really awful.
Those people truly think that "good character" means "good person" which in turn means "perfect person", they can't tell apart these three things 🤯 and what is worst is that such statements come from grown-ass men and women, not from kids! Actually the most interesting points I've read about Inuyasha are made by under-twenties, I swear.
