Theres A Fic On Fanfiction(.)net That Ive Kept Tabs On For Years To See If Its Been Updated Or Not. While
There’s a fic on fanfiction(.)net that I’ve kept tabs on for years to see if it’s been updated or not. While I’m no longer even in the fandom it’s written for, it just has one of the greatest storylines I’ve ever read. Last time it was updated was 2011.
The other day, I decided to reread the entire thing and leave a very in-depth review of what I thought of each chapter. I also mentioned how I started reading it when I was 13 and am now 21, but always came back to see if it was ever finished because I loved it so dearly.
Today, said author sent me a private message saying that her analytics showed that the story was still getting views even after all these years, but no one ever bothered to leave reviews other than “update soon!!!”, so she never felt motivated enough to finish it. She said that me reviewing every single chapter with lengthy paragraphs made her cry and meant the world to her. She also mentioned that she felt encouraged to write the two remaining chapters needed to complete the story and that she would send me a message the night before she updates the fic.
I’m literally sobbing. I’m so excited :’)
Please always remember to leave a review when reading fanfiction!!! It means a lot to a writer.

Reblog, click the picture, and prepare for battle.
No, really, this dude needs some kind of manager or something like that, otherwise he will drive himself into a dark corner.
I don’t want to be overly critical, because I understand if Mr. Sanders has personal issues going on or if he’s not able to manage his shit by himself. Not everyone is able to do it, so that’s perfectly okay if he can’t.
However, he’s not a random guy who does a random job. He’s a public figure. He has his own series. And he made a commitment to his public to keep working on this series.
And before someone says “but he’s not forced to do it”… yes, but actually no. This is his job, this is exactly what he does for a living. Justifying him not doing his job makes no sense. It would be as if a waiter comes to you and says they don’t want to serve you. Sure, they are free to make this decision, but I doubt you would say that they’re doing their job because… well, they’re clearly not doing it.
In addition to that, there is the income Mr. Sanders gains from Patreon. This money doesn’t come out of thin air: there are people behind every cent. People give him money, every month, because they want him to produce content with said money, as he promised. That’s literally how any job works: I pay you so you do the things I want you to do.
So yes, producing content is his job. And yes, he has to do it, because people are literally paying him to do it. And the content is clearly Sanders Sides, because that’s the reason why the majority of people follow and pay him.
But maybe that’s the problem: he’s not able to handle Sanders Sides. He’s not able to plan/write it. Maybe because of his lack of experience, maybe because he has personal issues, maybe because he just doesn’t want to.
Well, why doesn’t he hire a writer, then? Instead of wasting money on special effects, 200 props or other staff members, what about a writer? One single competent writer, who is not his friend, nor a fan of his work. He lives in America, not on Easter Island: I suppose there is at least one competent writer in a country so huge.
This way, the huge weight of the series won’t be just on himself as main writer and the product will be “bias-free”, because the writer will not be influenced by anything except the material he has. And, of course, Thomas will always be the one who has the last word, so it’s not like the writer will fully replace him anyway.
Then he can use his money to hire a manager. One single competent manager, who knows how to do their job and helps him deal with schedule and communications. Again, he lives in America: I want to believe there are professionals somewhere. He may take time to find them, but if he searches, he can do it. Hiring staff is part of his job anyway, so he has to do it.
And if all of this is too difficult… well, easy jobs don’t exist. Every job has its ups and downs, even the one of your dreams. He’s old enough to know that. And if he can’t do it, then I suggest him on working on himself first, then approach his job in a more mature, professional way.
