I realized that all the actors in macavity are the same as plato. Are they the same person? Is it some kind of disguise? Did he use Victoria in the mating scene? (or I'm just making crazy stuff)

Oh, no! Macavity and Plato are two completely separate and different characters who just so happen to be played by the same actor. I’m not sure exactly why they chose for the actor who plays Plato to also play Macavity. It might be because Plato doesn’t have many scenes, so it’s easy for him to transition from playing Plato to playing Macavity, as Plato’s only big scene is during the mating dance with Victoria. I believe it’s the same situation with Bustopher Jones and Gus the Theater Cat. They are normally played by the same actor, but they are completely different cats.

I think it depends on everyone’s point of view. I personally see them as twin siblings who were roped into helping Macavity before escaping and joining the Jellicles. Other people in the fandom see them as a couple, and that’s perfectly fine! It’s personal preference

Okay, so there are so many hcs and theories about this (which I love and I love every single theory and hc), but my personal hc about their relationship is:

- Macavity, Munk, and Tugger are brothers

- Old Deuteronomy and Grizabella are their parents

- Grizabella abandoned them to go pursue her dreams of being a show cat

- Macavity was banished because of how out of control his magic was and because he attacked Tugger

That’s how I view them!
