Decided ro redesign the Dragonets of Destiny a little

First goes Sunny, my favorite, my beloved

tbh the sketching process just feels more structured than the lineart stage, but that doesnt mean i dont like doing lineart.

I had fun with this one! Gave her more rugged look

I think Qibli would've been such a great character if DOD didn't decide to constantly praise him and hold him up as some great hero and instead delved into his insecurities and the reasons as to why he overthinks everything. He is a traumatized child who yearns for love and affection because his family hates him. He wants to be loved, so much so that he would do anything to be an animus just so he could make himself loved by everyone. That's quite literally the blurb on the back of DOD too. Qibli wishing he had animus magic so he would be loved.

He had the ability to be such a complicated and tragic character, but instead Tui wanted to go: "Wow guys!!! Isn't he smart???" when he doesn't really do..anything clever or intelligent. He over-analyzes the most basic of situations and instantly assesses whether or not a dragon is a threat and how to kill them if they attack. That's not Qibli being smart, that's Qibli being terrified for his life and never being able to fully trust anybody because of his horrible childhood.
