It's been a while since I last watched S1, but from what I remember like most things in TW it was never really explained. Wich is a shame, expanding the lore would have been really cool and potentially open interesting storylines that the writers could have explored, but sadly wasting good plots and not giving proper explanations for what is happening are two of TW's biggest flaws.

WAIT, stop, hold on… how do the wolfsbane and the spiral thingamajig magic work? Why is that a glamour? I’m very confused. Was that ever explained? Or is that just a thing that happened?

I never saw it like that before, but it does make sense! Having a secret crush, sending said crush a unsigned Valentine's Day card, then pretend it was sent by someone else and make fun of it to hide his true feelings? Sounds like the kind of thing Draco would do.

wait. in Chamber of Secrets the valentine Ginny sent to Harry wasn’t signed. So how did Draco know she sent it? Either he keeps tabs on everyone who has a crush on Harry or he sent it and blamed Ginny (and knew she would be a believable culprit because he also keeps tabs on everyone who has a crush on Harry). honestly i don’t know which is funnier. but either way, more evidence for the good ship drarry.
