I feel Dean and Cas are very much like Xena and Gabrielle, it's definetly canon but since it was mostly subtext people took a while to catch on, and some still deny it as just "subtext theory" even after cast and crew confirmed it was romantic. Lucy Lawless, Xena herself, was asked in an interview in 2003, two years after the show ended, if Xena and Gabi were just gal pals, and she said "Nope, they're married, man!", yet there's still antis that disagree to this day.

Don’t even get me started on that mess, or the no romos that even deny a het pair like Mulder/Scully to this day, it’s why I keep telling people this mythical undefined “canon” with no parameters just floating around waiting for 100% agreement is a hilarious illusion.

Drawing his eyebrows together, Stiles’ gaze darts back and forth between the information laid out in front of him. There has to be something. An indicator. A common denominator. A possible pattern. Something the others don’t share. It can’t be nothing. It can’t be. There’s always something. What made Theo survive? What did he have that others don’t have? It can’t be the heart. Unless it’s his sister’s heart. Would that make a difference? Would that – he grabs Theo’s file and nudges his thumb against the bottom of the page. This looks like someone has written something on the page above it, but then scratched it out. 

With narrow eyes, Stiles shifts the file a little in the dim light of the desk lamp. Is that a question mark at the end? He can’t decipher this bullshit. Come on. What the fuck is that? He raises the file closer to his face. As if that would help. Fuck this. Stiles drops the file again. Pen and paper. Pen and paper. The office was left in a rush. Even Jonathan Raeken’s files have been left behind. That means there has to be pen and paper somewhere around here. 

Desk drawers. 

Stiles grabs the first one and yanks it open. Or rather, he tries to. 

“What the hell?” He pulls at the drawer again, but it doesn’t move. It’s the middle of the fucking night. If this thing is stuck – huffing out a breath, Stiles crouches down. It’s not stuck. He brushes his thumb over a small silver lock. Who the hell locks his desk drawers when they’re not a fucking movie villain? Stiles doubts there is going to be a key anywhere around here. If anything, the key is what Theo’s dad will have taken with him. 

Or hidden really well.

With Lydia and Scott off to college, it’s Stiles and Kira who have to hold down the fort - no matter how often Liam complains that technically he was Scott’s first beta. Nobody listens to him anyway. Especially not after he brought back Theo. Theo who is a goddamn pain in Stiles’ ass ever since school started again. 

And Stiles hates every second of it. His grades are amazing. He should have been allowed to graduate. It’s not his fault that he couldn’t go to school for three months. He was kidnapped! Kira was innocent as well, and as much as he hates to admit it, it’s not Theo’s fault either. He didn’t choose to be tortured by his sister for months. Still, just because Stiles admitted that out loud once, does not mean Theo is allowed to sit with them. Kira with her heart of gold, however, doesn’t like to see him alone. Begrudgingly, Stiles caves. 

Over time, Stiles warms up to Theo, and despite everything, he isn’t that surprised when Kira somehow manages to set them up. Even four weeks in, Stiles can’t believe he’s dating Theo, and that everything is peaceful, that everything is fine. 

That is, until the hunters arrive, and all hell breaks loose.

TW Demigod AU: Theo is an orphan stuck in a juvenile center who spent years running away from these things... that want to kill him. Many times he's been called crazy because the monsters seem to only want to hurt him; nobody else sees them. Or maybe nobody just cares. Like nobody cared when his sister got murdered by one of those vile creatures. Like nobody cared those monsters want to kill him next and instead of listening, placed him in detention for murdering his sister.

Until one day when the only person whom he doesn't seem to ruffle in that depressing place breaks him out of prison and brings him to Camp Half-Blood where he supposedly belongs.

He is quickly claimed by his father, Ares, and he learns then that he's not supposed to be chased by the monsters. He's supposed to chase them.

Oh, and he will.

Venji Fic Fests: Winter Holidays 2020

Theme: While this is an open-ended event and anything holiday-related or winter themed will do, here’s also a list of prompts and ideas in case you want some inspiration or a starting point!

Ship: Though we’re called Venji Fic Fests, it’s allowed and encouraged to focus on other ships within the fandom as well. If you’d like, your fic need not include any Venji (or any ship) at all!
