In spite of the issues I may have with the OVA and its deviations from the manga I will say that the way they animate Levi throughout is 🤌

Underground Levi lives in the front right part of my brain at all times ♡

after armin transforms, levi is apparently so injured that he can’t stand. he looks so tired and prepared to watch the others take on the hallucegenia.

then the MOMENT connie makes a remark that the steam doesn’t smell like titan steam, levi immediately figures out that this is like ragako. he’s the FIRST IN AN INSTANT to stand tf back up, heft a fucking thunderspear on his arm, and announce that they need to go back to the fight. he just got his leg chewed and swung through the air, coughed up blood, slept with a fever for like 2 days, just lost hange, and he’s STILL GOING

this is just one minute reason that anyone thinking levi was sidelined or useless in season 4 are either trolling or watched the show with their assholes.

if it weren’t for levi, multiple times, they wouldn’t have reacted fast enough and everything would’ve been for nothing.
