Yes he phrased some things wrong but what else could you expect from a highly emotional being getting a confession from the love of his life right after his abuser came back down to threaten to kill everyone. He was freaking out. As a neurodivergent person who is incredibly articulate in day to day life but who loses all of that (and sometimes to power to speak at all) in times of extreme emotional reactions, this is so refreshing to see represented.

And Crowley does it too. He speaks a script he’s got playing in his head at the beginning because it’s highly emotional and the stakes are astronomical for both of them. The second they go off their scripts and they don’t have time to choose their words it all goes to shit because communication is hard. Give them both a break!
