          it’s  been  what  feels  like  a  long,  exhausting  day,  and  it’s  hardly  past  noon.  all  mary-beth  knows  is  that  she  is  in  dire  need  of  a  break—grimshaw  be  damned—and  she  fully  intends  on  taking  one.  she  can  already  hear  the  unread  books  calling  her  name  as  she  passes  by  arthur’s  tent—only  to  stop  short  once  she  notices  that  he’s  focused  and  hunched  over.

          she  really  should  mind  her  own  business,  but,  well…she  can’t  help  herself;  curiosity  killed  the  mary-beth.  she  hesitates  for  a  few  moments  before  inching  towards  him,  shyly,  and  finds  herself  subtly  peering  over  arthur’s  shoulder,  unable  to  keep  herself  from  asking,  “ what  cha  drawin’  there,  arthur ? ”

i’ll work on stuff tomorrow! i’m just sore and achy from work and need to rest but rest assured i will get to asks, drafts, and ims tomorrow!

i still owe asks and starters and i will get to them once i can motivate myself! i worked all day and now i’m home and tired and the cold weather makes me not wanna do a damn thing agsdjdkfjfj

          nancy  grumbled  under  her  breath,  doing  her  best  to  rub  the  coffee  stain  out  of  her  skirt,  only  succeeding  in  making  it  worse,  and  resulting  in  her  huffing out  a  string  of  expletives  under  her  breath.  it  took  her  a  moment  to  notice  the  person  who’d  noticed  her,  and  she  could  feel  her  cheeks  warming  as  she  asked,  “ how  long  have  you  been  standing  there…? ”

so far so...not great. this certainly HADN'T been how nancy wanted to start her day. though, she supposed she'd been having more of a bad WEEK than one, singular day, and she doubted things would look up any time soon.

alright, i'll be writing today!
