Ok so I am quite SHITE at like posting content of my materializing endeavors, and crafting binges. My inspiration usually strikes randomly, and I become engrossed in the process and thinking of creative ways around problems. Soooooooo this little guy was teased in my last unload dump, this mask was going to be a part of sword staff. However this mask is small and dinky and the material is super thin and brittle, when I would squeeze it I’d hear cracking sounds. Then again I have orc strength so the mask material might be ok but for me it wasn’t durable enough. The mask is also too small and the straps in the back weren’t the best for wearing it securely, and I plan on turning the mask into a helm with artificial leaves, feathers, and some flowers attached to the “hair/mane” with a sort of cape.
So the steps I didn’t record was basically the complete deconstruction process of that ugly little mask, the ugly small antlers had to go, they weren’t symmetrical. The color is also displeasing, I’m going for a more white sun-bleached bone look. With bigger more sturdy antlers and the back of the skull added, so the mask is a helm. I also wanted to add lower jaw bones and fill out the upper jaw as the mask didn’t have either, I had to outsource the upper and lower jaws with a mask I got from the Halloween section of a store. The plastic was just as shitty, so it was reinforced along with the rest of the mask. I used the same thermal plastic beads to sculpt and extend the jaw, reinforce the whole mask, and attach the jaws and teeth

This is a sketch of Grougo in the monks/priests threadbare hooded robe. I didn’t know what hairstyle he’d have, but since you can completely manipulate the hair length on vecnas scalp, almost any style is possible. So I went with the one I have in real life, shaved sides and the rest is long. I like longer eared orcs after I saw a pic of one, so that’s why his ears are longer than orcs ears usually are

This was a prototype for my D&D character, I was playing with designs and proportions. I wanted to go for a male half orc version of bayonetta, with the thickness. But the legs and arms ended up being too slender and the outfit covered up more than it revealed oddly enough. I was playing around with magic circles to summon his whip and sword but ended up going a different rout altogether

I’d say this was the early stages BUT that’s a damn lie, this was after some weeks of progress. The jaw bones and teeth were added, the antlers were added, the mask was changed into a helm, the muzzle was extended, the cape was added, the mane/hair was added, and the artificial fixings were added (partially). It’s hard to see from these horrible angles, but the cape part is added to underside of the helm and to the back of the helm. The hair/mane was braided fabric strips with the leaves and feathers sewn to the braids, then attached to a jewelry wire “weft” and attached to the back of the skull with thermal plastic.
I’ve added a lot more leaves and such since those pics were taken, I also have more to add. I recently found this gorgeous moth wing cape on Etsy that goes with the theme, so I bought it. And I have a type of shirt/shawl thing I’m going to sew the cape to help keep it secured better when I wear it. I plan on going to events with this on, Halloween, renaissance fairs, cons, and the like. I want to make sure the helm doesn’t slide off

This is the blade drawn, it’s basically the top half of the tree. Almost seamlessly disguised, and it fits quite snuggly in the sheath. It won’t come out with a tug or from using it like a walking stick, you have to really pull it out. The hilt is quite heavy now, naturally, and has a guard. The longer handle on this sword lends nicely to the tree look, I didn’t have to add anything to extend the hilt length. I just covered what was there and added the twigs.
You can also see that skull mask, which is a sneak peek into my next project. Antlered deer skull helm, the helm of the horned god Cernunnos. Who is also in the comic I may one day get around to drawing! If anyone knows of a good drawing tablet with a built in screen let me know please, I’ve been looking at reviews but they’re just confusing really

This was another prototype sketch for a firbolg lawful evil Druid character for a campaign that never happened because everyone I played with sucked. Anyways, his name was pilum murialis. The nettle in the darkness or thorn in the darkness. His outfit was made from the silk of giant spiders in the fey wilds, and given its connection to strong fey magic, the wings unfold when strong magic is nearby. Normally it looks like a kind of poncho wrapped up. He wears flexible leather thigh high leggings?? Leg warmers?? And forearm length arm warmers?? And like a leather vest/tank top. I wanted him to look sleek as he primarily acts as an assassin killing humans and others that threaten the green. He doesn’t kill children tho, as children can learn to respect and honor the green. Their parents, not to much.
