I like to imagine in Obey me the demons have scent glands where their horns would be like cats.
They might scratch their head or move their hair to act like their not just getting their scent on their hands to put everywhere, or it’s also on their tails
Barbatos wears gloves so he doesn’t get his sent all over the castle because technically it’s Diavolos area not his and only takes his gloves off in his room or when he needs to do something like bake or cook. The reason his tail never touches the ground is for the same reason of not to leave a trail.
I feel like angels might have something similar but on their wings and and where their wings grow.
Angels are probably not as territorial maybe Luke would tho but I think if they walked into a room and there was an unfamiliar scent they might just shake their wings a bit to leave scent and then just leave.
The demon brothers probably fight on a daily to leave their smell everywhere, the only place that is off limits is their rooms except for you Lucifer Satan is after your ass.
Diavolo tries to tell Barbatos that he doesn’t mind if his scent is left behind but Barbatos refuses to leave any smell in his lords castle.
