Just this week I downloaded my first e-book from my library, read it on my tablet, and returned it early for someone else to borrow. It was fabulous and so easy. I’ve got holds on two more, back to fanfic and my stash of paperbacks until one of them becomes available. Support your local library! Use your government resources! 

Ok, I've seen this sentiment before, but the amount of Kindle Unlimited ads I've been seeing is forcing me to repeat it-

Kindle Unlimited is offering two free months of unlimited ebooks. As a trial. Which will then become a paid subscription.

Your local library is offering unlimited ebooks all the time. Forever. No contracts, no predatory practices, no tracking of how long you spend on each particular page in the hopes that information about your habits can be sold for a profit.

Use your library. They want so badly to give you all of the things for free.

Thoughts from the 355

I’m back from watching The 355 and I admit, I have rolled my eyes in the past at fans who can’t resist redeeming the bad boy. Sometimes characters are douches, you know? And yet! I can’t help but think that Nick is a fellow who survives, and of the day when Captain America and his team stealth attacks that prison, because they’re heard nationals from other countries are being illegally held. Sam pulls out Nick, who is in bad shape, physically emaciated and suffering mentally from isolation. The computer IDs Nick, but Sam thinks it’s hinky that the CIA didn’t suspect that one of their own might be in the prison. Instead of turning him over, Sam takes him to his place in Delacroix to recover. Of course, as Nick recuperates, grateful for his rescue, he is reliant on Sam and turns more and more to him, falling in love. With his new perspective, he has no interest in revenge on Mace and the others, and commits himself to living a better life.

.... or is that a ruse to keep Sam’s support until he’s well enough to leave?
