Anyways, I just want to make clear that woobification and sympathizing and acknowledging a character’s trauma are not synonymous.You can watch the new episode and acknowledge that Dennis is uncomfortable with Mac’s advances and agree that Mac was in the wrong here. But similarly, you should be able to turn around and say ‘ hey dennis set up this entire fucking seminar so he could continue raping women without getting caught’. It’s the dichotomy of sunny, the tenderness/vulnerably of it’s characters mixing with the staggering grotesquery of their morbid personas. if you couldn’t sympathize with the Gang then nobody would watch the show.

stop woobying mac, do yourself a favor, he’s as bad as the others, maybe not as bad as dennis or dee (they are on the same level, the awful twins) but he’s not a fucking angel, it was in character, mac doesnt understand boundaries no matter who is the one putting those boundaries whether its men or women he never respects them, he gets into peoples spaces whether they want it or not, dennis was right into calling him out, this isn’t about gay men as a generalization being predatory to (straight) men this is mac being a dumb ass awful man thinking he could just get into dennis space and act like they are a couple when dennis has been saying “no” at least since season 7
