"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" earns the distinction of being the most verbose television show, boasting an impressive rate of 176.2 words per minute. This accolade renders the FX sitcom, crafted by Rob McElhenney, as the most challenging series to comprehend when viewed with subtitles.
The National Disability Authority recommends that subtitles should be no more than 140 words per minute.

Change my mind.
So much this. Even if people don't ship it, it's just straight up pattern recognition at this point. It makes less sense NOT to write it at this point. I love how beautifully it's being executed. I'm truly proud of rcg.
I completely understand why but it's wild to me that a show can deliberately and obviously utilise sitcom romance tropes to develop the relationship of their two male leads for 15 years and even queer viewers will be, "It was never there, it'll never happen, I don't see it, you're completely deluded."
Meanwhile m/f characters will breathe next to each other in one scene and there'll be endless press speculation on when the love birds will continue their epic romance.
Honestly, I hope Mac and Dennis do end up together so it can satirise this phenomenon, "He told me he loved me 13 years ago, I completely fell apart when we broke up in the episode "Mac and Dennis Break Up", it's heavily suggested our friendship comes with a sexual element, we've been living together like an evil Bert and Ernie for 20 years. How is any of this surprising?"
you know why rob mcelhenny is so powerful? because he’s been a twink and a hunk and a bear all in the span of like 10 years
