What Are Your Predictions For Tonight's Finale, Especially Regarding The Questions You Sent?
What are your predictions for tonight's finale, especially regarding the questions you sent? š¤
It seems like it could be a really action-packed, fun episode.
Iām trying not to get my expectations high to avoid too much disappointment.
My wish list is:
1- A good, open conversation between Tim and Lucy with the mentioning of some feelings. I feel like if they jump back into things too quickly, then they donāt do the breakup justice. So as much as I want (need? Yeah, need is a better word) them to get back together, I would rather just see steps in that direction that are showing healthy progress.
2 - Please, please, please let the cliffhanger involve someone other than Tim and Lucy. Theyāve been through the wringer this season. Let it be Luna (love her and she deserves more attention) or Nyla (who also deserves some more character development time) or Aaron (2 season finales in a row? Probably not) or Celina messing up AGAIN and finally having a consequence other than a slap on the hand or verbal warning.
3 - Big Bad Boss revealā¦. Elijah would make some sense. I would sort of like it to be Primm and then everything heās done gets called into question.
4 - Iād also like to see some consequences for Monica. Remember that file that Nyla has on her from season 5? Whip it out. Get some evidence on her from killing her assailant. Disbar and put her behind bars. Sheās taken up way too much screen time lately.
5 - Any way we could petition to get back to 22 episodes and starting in September? I can manage a having a few weeks off here and there. That actually gives us time to process things fully (6x6 took me a minute to process), and it gives fanfiction writers time to put out some stories.
Thanks for returning the ask! š«¶š»š

january 2025 mid-season premiere has me like

Don't mind meā¦ I'm going to live in this moment for the foreseeable futureā¦ Say, between a week and 8 months - depending on the finale. It's the softnessā¦ the comfortā¦ the intimacy that radiates from this little scene. Like how Lucy makes sure they won't be interrupted, no matter how brief this isā¦ Or how she voices that she is still mad and that this hug won't fix them, not wanting to add any confusion to their blurry situation, but still immediately goes to hug him, doing her best to engulf himā¦ It's how he instantly responds and melts into her embrace, allowing himself this little moment of peace, of being home - just like in that hallway at the hospiceā¦ It's the way he closes his eyes before whispering 'I am now' when she asks him if he's okayā¦ A reminder that she is still his safe spaceā¦ It's how Lucy closes her eyes as well when she hears this, as if she is relieved, squeezing him a little bit harder, not wanting to let goā¦ Trying to support him and, I'd like to think, drawing some comfort for her as wellā¦ Grounding themā¦ It's the way she can't help herself and fusses over his collar, fixing it - just like she used to pick some lint off his uniformā¦ It's such a short momentā¦ A short respite, one where they can finally catch their breathā¦ One where we can catch our breath before reality takes overā¦
Beautiful transition on these images.

āYouāre nothing like him.ā // āAre you ok ?ā

Did anyone else think that Nolanās scenes/story/lines were much better in 6x9? He was a real cop actually investigating without corny or fluffy or ridiculous lines or behaviors.
Any thoughts on why?
Coooooould it be that he didnāt have any scenes with Bailey? Does their lack of chemistry and forced-feeling relationship bring down his character? I suspect this is a good part of it.
Nothing against Jenna. They just donāt have good on screen chemistry. IMHO.
I just posted a Chenford fanfic I wrote for Motherās Day. I did it especially for those that struggle with Motherās Day for any variety of reasons. I hope everyone can enjoy it though, regardless of your motherhood experience.
Just like all of my stories, it has a happy ending. It felt good to write Tim and Lucy in a healthy relationship again. Hopefully I can do more of that, and we can see more of that in canon going forward.
Hereās how it begins ā
It started off as little things that Lucy saw on her social media ā birthstone jewelry, mother/daughter matching outfits, Etsy shop specials on personalized mom shirts, mugs, and picture frames. All of them crept into the ads on her phone in April to allow plenty of shopping time. At first it didnāt bother her; she just kept scrolling. But as May drew closer, the ads and the chatter about Motherās Day started to accumulate.
She never used to mind Mother's Day. She would get her mother some flowers and call or visit her, ready for the sound of disappointment in her voice or the click of her tongue as she shook her head in shame. It had been that way ever since she had started at the police academy seven years ago. Lucy usually volunteered to work that day so that her colleagues that were mothers could celebrate with their families. It was easier to stay focused on work that day than to have to deal with her mother. This way she didnāt have to trudge through guilt trips from her mother or be surrounded by families out celebrating their wonderful mothers. It was just simpler not to have to think about it. In fact, she was proud to work that day and looked forward to seeing her colleaguesā posts and shared pictures of what their children did for them. She hoped that one day the tables would turn, and she would be the one staying home with her little children
