Small-ish Elder Scrolls Online first recap because I've been playing this for a hot minute ( WRONG, IT HAS WRECKED MY SLEEP SCHEDULE-)

Okay so I'm still a rookie but I WILL enjoy anything related to DND or rpg so take this with a grain of salt bestie.

I: Character Creation:

Okay so do NOT expect a Baldur's Gate 3 character customization mod or whatever, BUT there is still a really decent and cool custom category! I was genuinely surprised! You have a decent amount of species, adornment, body shapes, body modifications, scars, tattoos, skintones etc etc and I really enjoy it!

II: Plots and Subplots:

BESTIE!! BESTIEEEEEEEEE!!! IF YOU LOVE INFO DUMPS AND HEAVY WORLDBUILDING YOU WILL BE FED!!! Like genuinely, the amount of LORE you will get, it's MINDBLOWING!! If you enjoy learning and like just having lore dump, then go ahead because WOW!! When it comes to plots and subplots, I feel like they're really well "plotted" lmao, like the side-quests and general storylines are working well together and it's a good surprise, here again! Plus, side quests are usually not that far from your main goals anyway, which is awesome, you won't get that much side-tracked!

III: Game Mechanics:

What's funny is that i legit have the same keyboard thingies for my Witcher 3 so that wasn't super duper complicated! XD I love the povs you can have! You can play in 1st person pov and also 3rd person view which is really cool! When it comes to spells/attacks etc, so far I only have Wardens and Nightblades so I can't speak for all attacks but, (as a usual Ranger/Druid player) i can say you will be FED! I love you can chose your spells and attacks and they have a section with recommendations (you can chose to not follow them though)! AND what is also awesome, you can change your weapons! I started as dual-wielder for my warden girlie but changed to a two-hands weapon specialty and it's not "that big of a deal" when it comes to the game so that's cool! You don't have to "pick" a fighting skill.

Also I NEED TO LEARN WHAT HAPPENED BECAUSE YOU CANNOT JUST DROP THIS:

I feel like a traitor because I adore Spideypool with all my heart but but POOLVERINE THO. 😭

I still can’t believe they went from this in Attack of the Clones (2002) to this in The Acolyte (2024) even though they’re both portraying Mirialan Jedi Masters.

Vernestra looks like they just slapped some green make-up and some eyeliner dots on the actress and called it a day. It’s awful, especially since she has so many close-ups. Twenty-two years ago they made Luminara look like an actual humanoid alien, with beautiful details in both costume and make-up. Even though she's basically a background character, she looks so much more natural as a Jedi.

some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.

Dare I say the closest we have gotten to achieving world peace was in the movie theater when Hugh Jackman's shirt exploded....
