In seventh grade, I was in advanced math, but I was like, only just qualified to be there. I always take a long time to do problems and math isn’t my strong suit.
My teacher called us one by one to the back of the room and told us if we would be in advanced math in 8th grade. I was so nervous that I was actually calm. I had prepared myself to accept that I would be in the regular math class. But when I was called up, and I was told I’d be in advanced, I just started *sobbing*. I couldn’t stop. My friend walked me back to my desk and I passed a boy that was one of like, 3 kids that didn’t get in and I felt so bad.
Math teachers are evil, man.
