Tatsuya stargazing, as he was revealed to enjoy doing since it brings back memories of happier times.

Staring at those stars one desperate night, waiting for something, anything inside him to spark that fire inside him again. But as he reminisces, all he feels is emptiness threatening to swallow him whole. Jun's smile, the sparkle in his eyes as he blabbed loudly about all the stuff he read in his dad's books... Instead of feeling at ease, the knot in his stomach just tightens.

Guilt over memories he's not even supposed to have washing over him... That endless sky reflecting his emptiness back at him, as it dawns on him that Jun will never be looking at the same stars as him again.

"You don't have to say anything, Tatsuya. I'm not leaving your side."

As is the case with most tatsujun fans, I cannot get this line out of my head. Something about Jun reassuring Tatsuya gets to me. Is it remnants of their childhood together? Was Tatsuya a clingier child than we realize? I also can't help but think of Eikichi's line... "The Ta-chan I knew then was a lot more energetic... It's probably our fault you became so distant." The idea of Jun recognizing how he's closed himself off out of fear... Telling him it's okay, that he doesn't need to be vulnerable with him right away. Jun will love him no matter what.

I can't help but imagine the day Jun hears those words out loud, "Please be with me forever." The mix of joy and sadness he feels... Of course, he's happy to know Tatsuya feels that way. That he wants a lifetime spent by his side just as badly as Jun wants it... But at the same time, that silly goose should know by now that Jun's not going anywhere! Home is where the heart is, and his lies with Tatsuya.

Can't stop thinking about Tatsuya looking over at Jun every time he makes a joke, just to make sure he's laughing too. It doesn't matter how badly the joke bombs, if Jun laughs he considers it a success.

In fact, despite not seeing Tatsuya as a very jealous person, I like to imagine one of the few ways to actually make him jealous is making Jun laugh. You can be taller, handsomer, cooler, smarter, whatever. But don't you DARE be funnier than him.

I love the idea of Jun noticing how happy it makes Tatsuya to see him laugh at his jokes and subsequently trying his best to laugh at all of them, regardless of how funny they actually are. Some days are rough, others Tatsuya can get him laughing so hard he cries with ease.

I have not! I love a good sickfic so this is perfect (and relevant at the moment, unfortunately) I'll make a part two explaining my disability headcanons when I get the time and energy!

I hope you like reading about sick Jun and Tatsuya, because this is going to be a long one.

For the sickfic front, I think Jun would be more prone to catching colds. He's around many students every day, probably at least a little stressed due to anxiety (whether that's a result of the trauma he went through in IS or the trauma he can't remember in EP is up to you!) and doesn't exercise like Tatsuya does. So, Tatsuya is usually helping him out during flu season.

Sick Jun Headcanons

The longer he's sick, the more independent Jun tries to become. He loves doting on Tatsuya, and just hates being unable to reciprocate. It doesn't matter if he still has a hundred degree fever, and can barely stand without getting lightheaded, or even hold solid food down. He's getting his ass up and making Tatsuya something to eat. Or so he thinks, till Tatsuya picks him up and puts him back in bed. They continue this until Jun gets the hint or gets too exhausted to continue the game.

Jun thinks he's being unfair by not reciprocating, as if his sleepy smiles and quiet "thank you"'s aren't enough. Tatsuya's happy to do this for the rest of his life if it means that in the midst of all this pain he can bring the man he loves so much a little relief, or even joy. They say "in sickness and health" for a reason. Plus, he knows if Jun could he would do the same.

Tatsuya thinks he sleeps a lot, until he's reminded what it really means to sleep all day when Jun catches a cold. There's been a few times he's taken him back to the hospital just because he was almost sure he was in a coma. Most of the time, Jun can and will just sleep his cold off. Eighteen hours of rest a day broken up by six hour segments of lucidity... Tatsuya is happy to help Jun as much as he can when he's awake. Though he'll often get frustrated because he won't wake him up to ask for help if Tatsuya's asleep when Jun needs something.

Otherwise, Tatsuya's vigilant. I've briefly mentioned it before, but I love the idea of Tatsuya inheriting Katsuya's habit of getting anxious over nothing (perhaps they got it from their mother?) He's constantly reminding Jun to drink water, trying to get him to eat when the nausea settles a little, keeping watch of the time so he can make sure Jun takes his medicine regularly. Jun secretly loves being doted on so much, especially in the IS timeline where he grew up without any of this love and attention.

Jun being spoon-fed soup when he's too tired to hold the bowl or spoon and too hungry to pace himself... When he's done, his head being pulled into Tatsuya's lap. Warm, loving fingers running through his hair as he's told he did a good job, to just rest for now. That he's right here if Jun needs anything, just focus on keeping it down so he can get his energy back up. (Coming from experience, it gets exhausting not eating or keeping food down.) Slowly falling back asleep, comforted by Tatsuya. When he finally wakes up, he feels so much better. Enough to even help Tatsuya around the house a bit. Oh, but he suddenly has a relapse when it's time to eat. Tatsuya will just have to feed him again, sigh...

When Jun recovers, he's full of energy. Bouncing around the house working on chores (Tatsuya did his best! But he is a little lazy when it comes to housework and enjoys his "life hacks", like the time he canonically showered with his clothes on because it was faster in Tatsuya Scenario.) Now that he is able to reciprocate he's taking care of everything, flirting with Tatsuya like there's no tomorrow, so affectionate Tatsuya's practically drowning in it. Tatsuya allows it for a little bit, in fact he enjoys the downtime and seeing him so energetic after being worried for Jun's health. But he is an independent man at heart, and can't handle someone taking care of everything for him.

Sick Tatsuya Headcanons

Tatsuya, meanwhile, rarely gets sick. He has a great immune system, partially due to his healthy lifestyle (if you don't count all the clubbing and drugs!) partially due to his genetics, and honestly part of it is just plain stubborn refusal to be weak.

Tatsuya will power through just about anything, so to get him to admit defeat and stay in bed is tough. Jun has his ways of getting him to cooperate though. A pair of big wet puppy dog eyes, a soft yet sad "Please rest, Tatsuya. I'm worried about you.", a hand running across his hot forehead, his frown deepening at how warm it is, before trailing it down his cheek... Before Tatsuya knows it he's in bed, and every time he looks at Jun he just doesn't have the will to get back up.

It's a game of slowly being broken down by Jun till he finally caves in and asks for help. He feels so awful he can barely sleep, (One of his favorite things to do! How miserable.) can't get up because he hates the look of worry Jun gives him, and can't get himself to ask for help with anything. But that's okay! Jun loves to dote on him, and he's gotten very good at reading Tatsuya's body language. Before he even has to worry about figuring out how to ask for something from Jun, he's already on it.

The first thing Tatsuya caves in and asks for is always, without fail, cuddles. There's nothing he wants more than to just hold Jun and hear him talk till the pain goes away. Bury his head in Jun's shoulder and listen to his soothing humming, maybe Jun even sings to him sometimes. He plays the organ, perhaps Junko taught him a few songs to sing as well. He mostly chooses lullabies, hoping to get Tatsuya to finally fall asleep. The few times it works he finds the sight so adorable he almost dies of cuteness. Tatsuya hasn't said anything about having a favorite, but Jun is slowly realizing he really likes twinkle twinkle little star and you are my sunshine.

He reads to Tatsuya as well. Tatsuya will rest his head against Jun's chest, snuggled up to him. He finds Jun's voice incredibly soothing, and it's fun experiencing plot twists with him. Even when his head gets too foggy to fully understand what's happening, Jun is always happy to kindly explain where they are at and what's going on.

Eventually, he slowly gets the confidence to ask for more help. Basic necessities, like food, water, kisses on the forehead, his fingers running through Tatsuya's hair... Simple things Tatsuya can't live without. Of course, Jun is always ready to help. Having him vocalize his wants just makes things easier. Truthfully, he rather enjoys having his independent Leo so dependent on him. There's a thrill to being trusted so much that he can drop the lone wolf act and let Jun nurse him back to health. If he knew it wouldn't make Tatsuya sad to be unable to do things himself, he'd consider wishing Tacchi could be like this forever.

Eventually he does recover. Jun can tell because he starts getting shy, asking for help less and less. Sometimes he can't even look Jun in the eye, as if he's ashamed of how weak he was. But again, Jun has tricks up his sleeve. He slowly plays up his own helplessness, asking for assistance with things he knows he can do himself but would be easy for Tatsuya to do as he recovers. Getting the pickle jar open, reaching things on a high shelf, holding this "heavy" object for Jun... It works very well. Before he knows it, his Tatsuya is back to his normal hot-blooded independent self, doing what he can to take care of Jun. Affectionate as always, but once again struggling to vocalize what he wants from Jun.

Hello! Just wanted to give a small update, I finally feel good enough to think about headcanons again! I don't think I'll be able to do daily for a while, I'm still quite ill. But, I am doing much better now. Thank you all so much for your patience and support.

But, based off of these screenshots from Makoto's laptop, it does seem to be more of a final fantasy vibe!

i think they both run personal webpages that link to each other.... nobody knows why the gardening blog of an occult enthusiast and a yamaha motorbike parts catalogue archival fanpage link to each other but it isn't too uncommon for people to find tatsujun hanging out in chatrooms of various topics and languages together in the 2000s. i think jun got super into mmos like phantasy star online, worlds.com and wow, tatsuya isn't the most social gamer by nature but he does make an account on every silly little thing jun signs up for just because he wants to make sure their profiles say they're married... everyone assumes it must be jun's idea but tatsuya is very quietly enthusiastic about supporting him! i think the whole gang got super into second life when it released, they use it to play masked circle together again instead of dealing with work/life scheduling

Hello everyone! Small update here, my health has been getting worse so I'll be taking a short break to focus on healing. I might post sporadically or be radio silent, I'm not sure what I'll be able to do. Thank you so much for all the support on my posts, it's been crazy! Love you guys, and can't wait to be back and feeling better with tons of fluffy tatsujun headcanons for you all. <3

Tatsuya and Jun rescuing a kitten together...

Maybe Tatsuya found the poor thing hiding under his bike, looking for shelter from the rain. Separated from their family, soaking wet and shivering from the cold and hunger. It's an easy decision to scoop the poor thing up and take them inside where it's warm.

Tatsuya ends up falling in love first. He's never acted much like a cat person, mostly because of his brother's obsession, but what are cats if not tiny lions? A tiny lion that can sit on his shoulder or lap, and that Jun also finds adorable...

It's an easy decision to adopt. Jun has always wanted a cat, and seeing how quickly the kitten fell in love with them made it that much easier. Always following Tatsuya around the house, curling up in Jun's lap when he reads... Separating them would be just cruel.

You may call me Entropy! I'm a new-ish Persona 2 fan. I enjoy tatsujun very much, and try to post a headcanon about them every day. Most of the time my headcanons are fluffy scenarios, as that is what I enjoy most.

My ask box is open! I'm always happy to receive topic suggestions for tatsujun headcanons. Fluff, angst, AUs, ect. all are welcome! Just nothing nsfw, please.

My headcanons/scenarios are free to use in whatever you'd like, credit isn't even needed. As long as there is more tatsujun in the world, I am happy. If you can, do let me know you used my idea though! I'd love to see what you've created.

Thinking about Tatsuya and Jun on a fast food date...

Tatsuya asking if he can have one of Jun's fries... Jun responding with a smile and "You don't have to ask Tatsuya, have as many as you'd like." Next thing he knows, Tatsuya's sweating bullets and his fries are all gone.

Jun can't complain without being a hypocrite though, because he's had over half of Tatsuya's chocolate shake... Of course, he doesn't need to know that Tatsuya prefers vanilla. Asking if he wants to share is embarrassing, so he'd rather just get Jun's favorite flavor and hope he takes as much as he wants.

Jun doesn't hesitate when it comes to showing his love for Tatsuya.

Showering Tatsuya with praise and affection comes as easily as breathing to him. He'll suffer these feelings of adoration whether or not he expresses them, so why wouldn't he share them with Tatsuya? He'll never fully understand just how much Jun loves him, but the least he can do is try to show it.

Most of the time, Jun does this through flirting. In public he'll be subtle about it, things that could come off as just him being friendly. Tatsuya's quite reserved after all, he doesn't want to cause a scene that would embarrass him. But when they are alone Jun doesn't bother holding back. He wants to see Tatsuya beet red, stammering, eventually having to look away because mere eye contact with Jun gives him butterflies so intense it makes him dizzy.

He loves to compliment Tatsuya too. Brushing a stray hair out of Tatsuya's face, smiling up at him... Unable to help himself as he muses how beautiful Tatsuya's eyes are, chuckling as Tatsuya mumbles about how that came out of nowhere. As if he shouldn't be used to Jun taking any opportunity to dote on him.

That's another thing- Jun also loves to spoil him like crazy. The easier and sweeter he can make Tatsuya's life, the better. Getting straight on dinner as soon as he gets home work, as much as he would like to take a break and relax, just so Tatsuya can have a warm meal as soon as he arrives. Telling Tatsuya to take that post-lunch nap he can see him so valiantly fighting off. Yes, the housework needs done, he'll take care of it. Just rest. His job can be to help Jun unwind afterwards, perhaps with some cuddles and that new TV show they've been meaning to watch together.

Tatsuya may not make it known to Jun that often, but he definitely feels loved.

Tatsuya doesn't say "I love you" out loud that often.

Most of the time, he shows it through actions as simple as "Have you been drinking enough water?" or, "Are you eating well?" He tries to act cool about it, but when it comes to Jun he's just as much of a worry-wart as Katsuya.

Other times, it's the way he remembers the little details. Reminding Jun of the constellation he wanted to see tonight, even though he brought it up over a month ago. Or memorizing the meanings of the flowers Jun wears most often. Smiling at the way Jun's face lights up because he remembered.

In private, it's how affectionate he gets. Tatsuya may not be one for PDA, but he won't pass up an opportunity to hold Jun in the comfort of their own home. Some days he smothers him in kisses... Others he'll just press their faces together affectionately (like the lions do!) Every so often, when they're in a more crowded place he'll grab Jun's hand. He swears up and down it's just so they don't get separated... Jun's smile and the way his cheeks turn pink is just a bonus.

The words "I love you" don't leave Tatsuya's mouth that often... But Jun cannot deny his Leo is as passionate as ever.

Thinking about Tatsuya and Jun cuddling together at night...

Tatsuya would be the one to fall asleep first. Give him five minutes with Jun, comfortable in his bed and his lover in his arms... He'll be blacked out drooling all over his pillow in no time.

Jun has always seemed like a night owl to me, so I think it'd take him a lot longer to fall asleep. I can just picture him curled up in Tatsuya's arms till he falls asleep, then crawling out of his grip enough to read until he finally feels tired enough to sleep himself.

Tatsuya seems like a cuddler. Even when Jun isn't there, he'll be hugging his pillow. It's the best thing in the world during the winter to Jun, but a nightmare during summer.

Jun snores. Loudly. Enough to wake anyone else up, but Tatsuya is an expert at sleeping through distractions. It still manages to catch him off guard when he wakes up though. What's that noise? Is something going on outside? Oh, right, that's just my partner. Looking like an angel, snoring loud enough to scare off any demon.

This is a tough one! I'm not too familiar with fix-it aus, but I will do my best to answer it as well as I can > . < If I misunderstand the concept, please let me know!

To be fully honest, I don't think there is anything I can say I would actually want to fix about tatsujun. There are things to criticize the games on of course, but I can't lie. I adore everything about them. I don't really have any good ideas that would objectively improve their story. Keep in mind this comes with a very heavy bias, I am hardwired at this point to see anything even mildly related to tatsujun and go "oh my gosh...", so of course tatsujun itself would have me rendered speechless and unable to think critically about their story.

But, I'll do my best anyways (๑>ᴗ<๑)

The only thing I'd really want to see fixed with tatsujun is a happy ending for the both of them. It's a bit bitter, seeing them suffer so much just to end up broken or empty on the inside. All their hard work and dedication towards one another for naught. But even that's so appealing on it's own, I can't say it was a bad decision on the developer's end. Winning a happy ending by the skin of their teeth, sacrificing everything to protect big sis just as they promised as children... Gosh, there's so much to love there too. So please don't mistake me saying all of this as a dislike for the canon ending.

However, of course, I want to see them happy. There are so many ways to go about it too... I truly think I could talk about it forever. Tatsujun happy endings are my favorite. I can't help it, I'm a fluff lover at heart. Especially tatsujun domestic fluff... So I'm constantly thinking of ways they could earn that happy home together.

To start off basic, there's always finding each other post canon. Without the freedom being children granted them, burdened by the woes of adult life... It'd be an interesting mirror of their canonical selves. Whether they meet early in college, or end up falling in love in their 30s/40s, I think it'd be beautiful either way! A perfect stranger, someone they feel this odd connection and comfort with that cannot be explained. Anemoia...

But, if we are getting really crazy and self indulgent, I think them working together in Eternal Punishment's story could be cute. Tatsuya and Jun promised they would protect Maya together.

I don't think Tatsuya would be one to reach out, he has so many regrets and is still traumatized from everything that happened... However, Jun being more active instead of passive could work! I won't lie, I love that Kashihara gets to just be an innocent kid watching from the sidelines, unlike Kurosu who was put through the ringer. I just want Jun to be happy. But, it does also fit him to be more proactive too. Just like how he got into the Joker situation by trying so hard to make people take his dad's theories seriously... Good intentions getting him into a mess once again... Ahh, I'm weak.

After the aerospace museum... So many questions, too few answers, a lighter that he knows doesn't belong to him now burning a hole in his pocket, and an overwhelming sensation that there is something he must do... His only option is to chase down the deja vu boy and demand answers. The two of them getting to protect Maya together like they promised... Jun getting revenge on Nyarlathotep, who had taken everything from him. Mama, Papa, Tatsuya, Maya... And, perhaps most importantly, repenting for their sins together.

Jun said he wasn't leaving Tatsuya's side, after all. I doubt he'd let Tatsuya talk him into leaving him by himself. Tatsuya's loneliness brought him back from the brink of erasure, there's no way he'd let him isolate himself again! Mirroring the ending, Maya getting the option to either cling to them one last time, or let them go... Tatsuya and Jun confident that Maya has grown into a strong woman who can take care of herself, getting the chance to finally protect each other. And of course, living a happy life together on the other side.

I don't know if this is exactly good enough to "fix" canon, but it's a fun au to think about! Lots of plot holes and character themes being thrown out for some tatsujun goodness, but I tried my best. Perhaps I'll come back to this someday with some better ideas. No promises though! I'm such a perfectionist, it could take me weeks of brainstorming to come up with something I'd consider even remotely passable.

tatsujun pet names

I can't stop thinking about tatsujun pet names...

Tatsuya would obviously love Tacchi... I think he'd also enjoy being called handsome too. Jun leaning over Tatsuya's shoulder as he reads one of his magazines, Tatsuya feeling a kiss being pressed to his temple. "What do you want for dinner, handsome?" Looking up at Jun, who's towering over him for once, getting butterflies... Other than that, I think Jun would stick with typical pet names. Love, darling, sweetheart, ect.

I don't think Tatsuya would use pet names that often tbh. Especially in public.. In private he'd be a bit more open to being sweet on Jun, but he doesn't seem like the type to enjoy PDA to me. However, I can't help but love the idea of Tatsuya calling him his angel. Especially in the Innocent Sin timeline, where it'd be more ironic. But, he'd be Tatsuya's angel no matter what. I can see him occasionally using words like babe, doll, honeybun... Honeybun is the cutest tbh > . <

Most nights Tatsuya has an easy time falling asleep. Sometimes though, he can't help but be kept up by his own racing thoughts.

The best nights are when he gets to call Jun. Ever the night owl, he's usually up studying or reading one of his books. Just hearing his voice, knowing that he's there, soothes something inside Tatsuya.

His favorite is when Jun plays the organ for him. A gentle melody, still beautiful to Tatsuya's ears despite the sound quality. Picturing Jun's peaceful face as he plays... It's easy to fall asleep as it plays throughout the night, Jun not stopping till the sound of Tatsuya's snores gets louder than the organ.

Eventually, he'd perhaps get to hear it in person. Sitting on the piano bench next to Jun, watching as he plays. Playing is like second nature to him at this point, almost as easy as breathing. It doesn't take long for him to end up resting his head against Jun's, his eyelids getting heavy...

Jun always stops him before he falls asleep though. He made that mistake once, and found himself with Tatsuya passed out on the floor (as he fell off the bench when Jun moved), unable to get him to wake up and far too weak to carry him. He settled for a pillow under his head and a blanket to keep him warm.

Tatsuya & Jun holding hands for the first time as a couple... Tatsuya's hand reaching out first, their fingertips brushing together. Fingers intertwine, but that's enough only for a few seconds before their hands reach out in unison, locking together.

A wave of comfort washes over Jun. Tatsuya's hand is warm, his grip a little too tight. But that was alright. Eventually, Tatsuya would get it in his head that Jun wasn't going anywhere.

Tatsuya is shocked at just how cold Jun's hand is. It's soft, and his slender fingers fit perfectly between his. But still, he can't help but think about how cold his hands are. Was he ill? Jun seemed to notice his worry. "Is something wrong, Tatsuya?"

"Your hands are cold..."

"Ah, I see." He brings their intertwined hands up to his lips, pressing a kiss to the back of Tatsuya's hand. "Then, please keep them warm for me Tacchan."
