I told my therapist about a dream smp fanfiction I was writing and she immediately asked me about my relationship with my father

My personal wards are also curses

And I say that because anybody, or anything, that tries to harm me or throw things at me, automatically get hexed back or given a nasty little push. It is built into my wards, my shields, and everything that keeps me safe.

Thing of it like a thick, disgusting layer of leeches on the outside, with arms and tentacles and anything that can grab ahold of something, and a well-insulated wall on the inside where myself and my space is; warm and comfortable while the barrier does its job.

A spirit wants to attack me? A parasite wishes to latch on? Someone is pissed off and wants to throw a curse at me?

The leeches simply latch on and destroy whatever is trying to breech my walls. This ward is programmed to be intelligent and adapt to its surroundings. It can tell when something does not belong around me, or when something is outright malicious. And it can tell when another human being is involved, and how to follow the path of the curse to bite the person responsible.

Of course, I can actively open my shield to let people in who are invited, such as trusted spirits and deities.

It’s the most passive, effective way to assure my safety while performing my craft.
