“That was my son,” Tears flew down the man’s face, gritting his teeth. His eye fell on his son's cold body once alive. And Techno is one step away–a word away, a plead away, but– "and that's my brother." a wicked smile blossomed on the man's face, "then i guess we're even then," the knife cuts excessively deep in Wilbur's throat, no chance of survival, the man drops his body. "NOOO!!!" Techno screams fall on deaf ears, he runs to Wilbur. “..Techno?...” Wilbur wheezes while coughing on his own blood, tears falling down his face, knowing these are his last moments alive.
Techno cradles his brother’s body, holding Will's face in his hands, “no, no, save your energy. You’ll be okay, you.. you have to be..” techno pleads as he can feel him losing the warmth in his body. It is like techno can hear the man's words, his meaning of doing this. "feel my pain," carries in the roaring wind.
All Wilbur can do is smile sadly and shake his head at him, coughing once more, he takes a shallow breath than gives his brightest smile and says “I love you” before breathing for his last time, looking into the eyes of his brother, forever and always.
If anyone saw the great Blood God crying, sobbing, into his brother’s chest, begging for it all to all be some sick twisted joke, praying and damning every god he called on for not saving his brother that today. They saw nothing. Well mainly because they didn’t live to tell of it, that was the day the Blood God closed his heart again, locking it behind a cage, planning to never open it again. It belonged to one; forever and always.

OKAY I'VE SEEN A FEW THINGS ABOUT C!TOMMY'S ADDICTION TO INVISIBILITY POTIONS BUT NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT C!TUBBO BEING ADDICTED TO DRUGS AS WELL?? Both of these kids GREW UP in a drug van. They grew up in a place built on self destruction and addiction. They find different ways of dealing with shit, different kinds of drugs (Tommy invisibility potions because, as someone else said, he wants to disappear, and Tubbo pufferfish, because he's been fed poison in colourful spurts his entire life), but it all comes back to the same root. Wilbur. The one who showed them that was a great place to start.

Tommy moves in with tubbo and ranboo after dying in the prison
Sbi + ranboo (and maybe tubbo) have braids in their hair, given by techno to signify protection (stole this one from someone else)
Tommy can speak piglin, so he can communicate with micheal and hes teaching ranboo and tubbo how to speak it too

2. Ah! SBI! Tommy cut his braid out after Technoblade blew up L'Manburg, but rebranded it after escaping exile, and then kept it in because it "makes him look cool as fuck". Or something like that. Tommy taught Tubbo to braid. Tubbo really only uses it when he's working at Tubburger. His crown braid keeps him from shedding in the food, lol. Phil keeps his behind his ear. He's pretty determined it comes out less like that. Wilbur's remained beneath his beanie. It constantly had to be redone.
3. Oh, he completely abuses this translator power. Love that.
I bet Techno taught him...

-dream is honestly just a guy. he has scars and missing fingers and white streaks in his hair but he’s completely human under that mask and Also he’s probably painfully *young*. like. 25 or smth,,,,
-wilbur is phil’s bio kid -> phil is an avian -> wilbur had wings, but they were blown off in The Explosion and didn’t come back after the revival. phil is only missing one wing but for the same reason
-too much angst. techno wearing lots of gold jewelry and giving phil + ranboo a bunch too because gold is very significant in piglin culture
-sapnap has a lot of physical reminders of his friends / finances (q, karl, dream, george) because they’ve all ditched him in some way or another, and he misses the feeling of having them around :[
-dream was always really close to the lava wall in prison, because the warmth reminded him of sapnap & the fact that his hugs were almost painfully hot (because he’s a fire demon )

AHHH! Thank you! I'm happy it looks edible. Most of the time while I'm cooking it feels like the tubbo toaster fire.
I kind of have this headcanon, too. I like the idea people freak out when Sam tells them Dream doesn't have his mask in prison and then they see him and they're like "oh. Oh. I'd... pass that guy on the street and not blink twice."
2. BIRD WILBUR SUPREMACY
He misses wings sometimes because they were warmer, I imagine. Phil has balance issues and Techno jokes it's because he's old because neither of them want to deal with that shit.

I imagine Ranboo loves this. They flip out at the attention and get more piercings just to show off what Techno gives them.
Phil is calmer. He just keeps a hardcore heart clip on his jacket and that's about it. The rest he hangs up around the house.

Wasn't really sure exactly what kind of reminder you meant, so I went for stuff he keeps on his person!
5. Quackity stops burning Dream after he realises he's pretty desensitised to it.
Maybe that's why Dream kept walking into the lava.
He missed being warm.

catharsis
Will is a little nervous, coming in this room. Again. It’s always a different mix of emotions, but some key ingredients are the same: thrill, anticipation, sadness. This time the cocktail is a true masterpiece: thrill, anticipation, conviction, confidence, only a drop of sadness. The only really new ingredient in all of this is fear, and it kind of ties it all together, adds the needed spice to the mix. Will lingers for a bit, analyzing the taste of the imaginary cocktail. There’s something else. Just… a dash of uncertainty. It’s not about the act, but it’s in the air, ruining his experience. What a shame.
“Will. What are you doing?”
Phil’s voice sounds so, so familiar. Maybe decades ago he said this exact phrase in this exact tone, when Will was stealing something from the kitchen. Weird how some things don’t change.
Will is glad to hear his voice. It means that it all goes according to plan. It means that he won’t leave this room. The uncertainty is gone.
Will is deafened by the sound of the explosion, his breath is heavy and uneven, partially because of excitement, partially because the air is filled with dust, but right there, right then, he has a moment of absolute clarity. It all makes sense to him, all of his questions have answers, he comes up with a name for his cocktail — “catharsis”. It has a wonderful sweet aftertaste of satisfaction.
There’s only one more thing to do. Will has done it a thousand times before, especially when Phil would catch him doing something he “shouldn’t be doing”. Ask nicely. Phil is surprisingly bad at saying “no”.
Weird how some things don’t change.
Wilbur shook his head, “I’ve never lied to you.”

“If I truly believed it was the truth, does that make me a liar?”

“That’s the difference between me and Schlatt. That’s the difference between me and Phil. That’s the difference between me and Quackity.” The sparks had stopped flying so it was impossible to make out Wilbur’s facial expressions as he spoke. “I have never lied to you. I have been wrong but never lied to you, Tommy. I won’t lie to you. Do you trust me, Tommy? ‘Cos right now I feel like you don’t trust me.”

So, in this line, Wilbur references Schlatt and Quackity as purposeful liars while saying that in his Pogtopia mindset he wasn't lying because he truly believed what he was saying would come true, thus differentiating them, and it's pretty obvious that he's referring to stuff both of them (Schlatt and Quackity) did and said during the Manburg administration (which he still has a lot of resentment for).
However, he also mentions Phil, and I haven't seen anyone yet say where exactly Phil's lie that Wilbur references is. Well, I think I got it:

Wilbur: Not many people do. I mean, Phil, you don’t seem afraid of me, you’re not afraid of me, are you, Phil?
Phil: No, not at all
Wilbur: Good. Good, ‘cause I’m not afraid of you
I think this is where Wilbur is convinced that Phil lied.
He says that "Good. Good, 'cause I'm not afraid of you" only after a pause, in what I can only describe as a slightly distrustful tone. "Not showing his true colours" with that response one could say:
“I think, I think you might be a bit braver than me, in showing your true colours. I feel like with you, Ranboo, I never have to be guessing your next move, I never have to be guessing your hand, you know? I feel like life dealt us the same cards, and the difference is that you build your trust by showing people your cards, while I keep them close to my chest. And I feel like that might be the big difference.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 41:22, 25th July)
And this is also supported by the very explicit way in which later on the same stream he says:
“Can I be real with you, man? I think I scare people.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 36:30, 25th July)
He’s convinced that people are afraid of him, that his social limbo is ever-reaching and that everyone looks at him like they did in Pogtopia, that they see him as crazy and scary, thus, he’d see that Phil just lied to him there
“I mean, like I, I, I, I don’t think I, I- I think a lot of people share your idea, but they share your idea in trying to- trying to keep me from hurting them, you know? Like they’ve seen what I can do, and they don’t want me to do it again, so they adopt your emotion in order to do it.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 36:46, 25th July)
“I’m living in eternal limbo, again. I’ve been through limbo, I’m out of limbo, and socially, I’m still in this limbo.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 38:36, 25th July)
“And, man, Ranboo, hearing you say those words that you said to me. Do you remember what you said? You said, 'I think people can change’, that was number one. And number two, you said you’re scared if people don’t like you.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 38:45, 25th July)
“Okay. Tubbo, I’ve literally- I was dead for thirteen years. I know it wasn’t long for you, I know it was only a couple months for you, but, thirteen years, Tubbo. Thirteen years of my life. I aged! Look at me, I’m not the same young man you knew!” - (Wilbur’s A Year Later: 20:52, 3rd Aug)
“I relived that explosion in my head so many times man. And, and, and I- I get that you don’t, you don’t trust me, I do, but like, man, look at me, bro, I’m not gonna do it again. I’m not gonna- I’m not gonna hurt you again.” - (Wilbur’s A Year Later: 21:21, 3rd Aug)
As cc!Wilbur mentioned in that one reddit post (it's in the replies): Quackity makes him feel human, while "everybody's trying to get on his god side out of fear", he remarks Quackity as "Someone who looks at him, not as "insane" not as "evil" or a "freak" but rather just unpredictable. Human. This is exciting for Revivedbur. He feels human again."
Quackity and Ranboo are the two he feels look at him as a person, not as just "that crazy man from Pogtopia", that's why he opens up so completely to Ranboo, it's why he remarks this:
“I feel alive, Ranboo, I feel alive. Someone’s looking at me and talking to me! I’m alive, I’m alive! This is great.” - (Wilbur’s Unhealthy Competition: 27:22, 4th Aug)
Phil however, enters in the larger camp of "looks at me with fear" (as well as the camp to use him as a scapegoat after his death), he's in the larger group of people Wilbur feels the need to appeaase by having more obvious comeuppance:
“Dream is- He’s had his comeuppance, and I have not! My comeuppance was apparently not good enough for this people. They’re just waiting, they’re waiting for the next thing for me to slip up on, and, Ranboo, I’m not gonna fucking slip up, Ranboo. I’m different.” - (Wilbur’s Healthy Competition: 38:07, 25th July)
This also is a lie that Wilbur would care about, because I've seen others mention how Phil lied about Fried having infinite lives, which was in reality a "replace the goldfish" situation and how Phil also lied about not killing him no matter what he did or said in november 16th. However, Wilbur wouldn't care much for either of those instances, as he saw him dying on the 16th as something good and didn't pay much attention to Friend.
But his father apparently lying to him about no being scared of him? About not looking at him like crazy and hopeless just as everyone else when he's especially struggling with feeling like he can't count on anyone on account of his social limbo? Yeah, that one would affect him alright.
Wait.
“I want to believe that desert is where people start anew and figure out who they were supposed to be in this grand life of ours.” He dreamed of a grand, spacious desert that served as a blank slate where he could start over and become the person he’s meant to be.
And in the end, he’s standing in a large desert, laughing and screaming with unbridled joy about how he gets to go home, a place where he can start anew with a blank slate. And he gets the rest of his life to figure out the person he’s meant to be.
c!wilbur has spent so much time trying to be this grand figure, trying to prove his worth, trying to be worthy of anything, to prove that he's worth remembering and being loved!! he spiraled down so so far that he thought life wasn't worth living anymore! and in the end, after everything, he decided that the only thing he wanted was to go home! that's everything to me!
i feel like we're too hung up on the whole Utah thing, like it doesn't fucking matter that it's Utah, c!Wilbur is going back to where he was raised and where he lived before the SMP
the Utah bit is just supposed to be funny but the implications are genuine, he's going back to his roots wherever that is
i would like to propose a new fanon part of cwilburs design: a small cut in his face, from when ctommy hit him with the sword :)
I've seen so many people go "this wasn't a good end for c!wilbur" and "it wasn't true to his character" "there is no growth!"
It was true. C!Wilbur is a bit of a coward. I'm sorry, but he is. And here, here he grew a bit. He said his apologies. He said his goodbyes. And now he goes home. It takes strenght to realise that a place is not good for you, and by staying you are doing more harm than good. And you cannot tell me that there was anything else for Wilbur on that server other than Tommy. But here's the thing: Tommy doesn't need him. He wants him, sure, it's his brother, but Tommy has had a life without him. He has gone through stuff and he has fought and hurt and healed and fell and stood back up. And while I'm sure Wilbur loves Tommy, Wilbur doesn't need him either. What they both need is space to heal. So Wilbur goes home. Goes to the opposite of his limbo, to the warm vastness of the desert, and he'll figure out who he really is behind all the trauma and l'manburg and all that. Who he is when there is nothing more to fight for or about, when he can just be. I'm sad for Tommy, truly. But to pigeonhole Wilbur into a "Tommy's caretaker" role is to take stuff away from both of their characters.
That's really the thing that annoys me the most. This "But Tommy is alone again! Wilbur left him on a beach just like Dream" Yes he is alone. But here's the thing. You are not evil or abusive for removing yourself from a situation that harms you and where you are not comfortable or safe. You are not bad. Dream was a fucking psychopath who enjoyed the abuse he put Tommy through. Wilbur is a mentally ill dude who desperately needs peace and safety. If I'd change one thing, i wish the offer for Tommy to join him would have been on the table. I would have wanted Tommy to refuse, but i still wanted the offer. But overall? I think it was great.
And you know what? I'm glad it was silly. I'm glad it was fun. Because they ALL talked about how it felt like the smp lost some of its magic due to how big and serious it has gotten. I'm glad that it was a bit silly and fun. Fucking Utah. I liked it.
