@thetruearchmagos oh gosh. the genres you like to write in are insane! I also saw that you like to worldbuild, in which- teach me please. do you ever think you do too much? or like how much is enough worldbuilding within a story? I know there's not a limit, but I've seen authors mention how sometimes worldbuilding takes too much away from the story, or they do it more than needed in a story. stuff like that.
I love that you're interesting in political building aspects, too! And the military! What caused your interest in this? Any fun facts or tips in a story? Honestly I would love to just learn from this haha :D
PJOOOOOO. AND SPY SCHOOL. Childhood favorites, those were the good times haha.
I DEFINITELY SENSE A SPARK OF ADVENTURE IN YOUR STORY ALREADY. And your description is just amazing! I can definitely visualize the scene, though there is a stark contrast with the choking smoke. It's almost like the main character is uncomfortable being in this beautiful place, hmmmm.
me, desperate for some writer friends/mutuals
hi everyone!
this is just a post where writers get to know writers, and hopefully through reblogs/comments we can find more people who not only read/write our genre, but just people who have similarities with us.
it's kind of a simple "get to know me" post, and anyone can join <3
feel free to tag your mutuals and reblog !!

genres you like to write in: currently writing contemporary (ya/romcom/romance, give me them ALL), but I also like to dabble in fantasy!
genres you like to read in + fav books/media: i'll consume literally anything haha. Fantasy, mystery, historical fiction, romance, young adult, you name it. I'm awful with horror, though ;-;
percy jackson (MY CHILDHOOD), harry potter (OBVIOUSLY), Better Than the Movies, From Lukov with Love, The Love Hypothesis, These Violent Delights, the list goes on...
favorite or latest line from your current wip: [latest line, because what a mood- from Destination Seoul] Ha. Per usual, the universe hates me.

Hey, miss. Why are you crying? Is something wrong? No, sir. No? Whatever it is, have some soju and shake it off. It’s okay. I’m still in school. You’re in school? Wait. Isn’t that her? What? Wait. Aren’t you the athlete Na Hee-do from yesterday? What? Na Hee-do? It is. The fencer from yesterday?

note to self
if you have a thought, write it down. don't push it back or take the chance of forgetting about it.
because that idea can go a long way.
I saw your post about Korean mythology, do you have any sites/books you would recommend? I recently have gotten into Celtic mythology and I would love to learn more about Korean mythology! Sorry if this is a weird question!☺️ - @starlitpage
ahhh hello @starlitpage! thanks for the ask (definitely not a weird question, actually an amazing one :D) and I'm so glad you're interested in korean mythology! how is learning celtic mythology going?
Some books that have been recommended to me + the one I'm currently reading are: Eerie Tales from Old Korea and Korean Myths and Folk Legends (this was the one recommended).
This website is also a great place to get started! I looked up some common myths or creatures on this site, and it gave me results of myths or tales related to it, etc. It also gives information on a vast amount of Korean culture and rituals and traditions.
Hope this helps! I'm a bit new to learning about Korean mythology, too, as it isn't taught much. But hope you enjoy :)
@thatprolificauthor helloooo!
honestly your genres are just a combination of everything I want to read! I absolutely love romance, but having a bit of fantasy or mystery intertwined (it doesn't even need to be like the main plot) makes the story more vivid and so much more entertaining to read!
AND THE INHERITANCE GAMES STOP. THAT BOOK IS SUCH A GEM. Let me know your thoughts on it! <3
OKAY. BUT WHY AM I ALSO GETTING INHERITANCE GAMES VIBES HERE, TOO. The clocks in his family's mansion seems like a key to something! Seriously, I'm intrigued! I would love to know the premise of this book, and some of the main tropes featuring it. Also, is Dennis a vivid/strong character, or more of a soft-spoken/reserved one? How do you forsee his character arc to go (towards positive development or negative development overall)?
Lots of questions, ahhhhh
