I Found [4] - Trust Is Bent And Broken, Vixen

FROM ACROSS THE FOLD, Nadia and the General had arrived from their trip towards the edge of the Fold where the Sun Summoner was currently in. She was hoping that Kaz or Inej or Jesper would notice her not sending any letters and would devise a plan to get her. If she had to, she would escape whatever place she would be in and find her own way back to Ketterdam.

The General, on the other hand, placed a black cape on her lap and told her to wear it before telling her that Ivan would come and retrieve her. He wanted her to be unnoticed by some, even though everyone already knew of a Lightning Summoner existing and him retrieving her.

The General had to keep the Lightning Summoner close. She was sly as a fox, quick on her feet and in a fight. He knew sheā€™ll fit in well in the Little Palace. His priority right now was to see the Sun Summoner and make sure she truly had that power like Nadia had hers. A coincidence that both theoretical and mythical saints had emerged just days away from each other. His equals. Two people who had no power like the others, different like him. There were three now, the Starless Saint, the Sun Saint, and the Thunderous Saint. All three powerful people who will live eternally, forever.

The only problem was that the Lightning was hard to break. Hard to get through with her stubborn personality. Only struck when she needed to or when it was the time to strike down. She was good at it, good at hiding her emotions because not once did he see a glint of fear or emotions that he would usually see when people were face to face with him, just the strong stubbornness and confidence as well as bravery when he watched her fight the DrĆ¼skelle. She was quiet, he noted. Usually quiet and non-chatty to him and his guards, he expected it considering she hadnā€™t met him or the others before. They were completely strangers.

He didnā€™t know what compelled him to her, maybe it was the overwhelming emotions she managed to send him by her electricity that buzzed in her veins. She managed to catch his attention and unbeknownst to him, he had managed to do the same for her. The intrigue practically ran through his veins the minute he heard of her unusual but unique power. She was even more of a mystery than the legend of the Sun Summoner, not once did people claim to be her unlike her other half which was the sun.

He looked up to see the Healer he sent on the trip from Novokribirsk. The half Suli girl was another one of his prized Grisha soldiers. A Healer. She was much more skilled at what she could do, from healing people fast and the fact she could hide what she was doing with only placing her hands on injuries. Her skills with fighting was the last reason he placed her in the ranks as one of his personal guards.

He motioned the girl to come near him and ordered her, ā€œSonia, look after the Lightning Summoner for me. Sheā€™s a sly one.ā€

ā€œI quite agree.ā€ She agreed with him, she noticed the girlā€™s light steps and swift movements from her fights. One thing she noticed was that the girl didnā€™t resist from being taken. ā€œSheā€™s one silent but fierce lightning and quite elegant.ā€

ā€œQuite the opposite of her power. Loud and thunderous.ā€ The Darkling muttered in thought, the girl running around his mind. He turned to the Healer and commanded her, ā€œGo.ā€

ā€œMoi soverenyi.ā€ The girl bowed to her General and left his side, going straight to another part of his tent where he knew Ivan led the summoner.

Nadia was unlike any other, especially someone from Ketterdam. Right, Ketterdam. Well, he finally had a reason why she was good at hiding emotions. He had heard of Ketterdam and what it had to serve, the island of criminals. The place that took away the innocence of a person once you enter and somehow he didnā€™t see it in Nadia. All he knew was what he heard and he certainly didnā€™t see it in her. Sure, he saw the hard exterior of the girl and he couldnā€™t blame her, with being surrounded by people she couldnā€™t trust at all, but there was something about her that he couldnā€™t shake. Then suddenly all his thoughts of her went away when he caught a glimpse of his tent.

As soon as he entered his tent, he got rid of his cape and placed it on his chair. Everyone stood straighter and remained silent as he stood in front of his desk with his back facing the people that were with him. No one uttered a word, too frightened and nervous to even breath loudly, in fear that heā€™ll consume them using his shadows. There were questions about the Lightning Summoner he brought in, somewhat much rarer than he and the Sun Summoner combined but still, no one dared to speak their thoughts out loud.

ā€œWell? Bring me the Sun Summoner.ā€

Back in Ketterdam, Kaz left Dreseen with Inej and Jesper in tow. They had already dropped off Milana and left her on her own to survive with her boss at the Orchid murdered by Pekka Rollins. Jesper followed him willingly, but Inej seemed confused and furious at Kaz for making a rash decision. Inej knew Nadia would berate him for making a decision he made out of spite, but it was all he had. Spite. Anger towards Pekka Rollins. His long vengeance towards the man.

Entering the Crow Club with silence between them, Kaz went straight to his office to plan the heist as well as getting Nadia back. Inej went with him, bombarding him with questions now that they were alone and away from the prying eyes of pigeons alike.

ā€œWhat was that? You want to tell me?ā€ Inej asked, her voice sounded restrained.

Kaz took his watch out, the watch Nadia stole for him. Six hours to make a plan to get the Sun Summoner and be rewarded with a million kruge. Six hours to make a plan and get her back.

ā€œBe more specific.ā€ He said to the Suli girl, his voice displaying impatience as he closed the watch he held.

ā€œIt was one thing when we had at least a week to find a way across the Fold, but sunrise? We have to say no.ā€ Inej insisted, her tone growing more stern and her stance getting rigid which was way out of her character.

ā€œNo.ā€

ā€œThatā€™s a no to saying the job then?ā€ Inej asked in confusion. Kaz wasnā€™t one to back down to something valuable, especially when one of his investments was missing and was very expensive to buy. He continued flipping through papers hurriedly.

ā€œThatā€™s a no to saying no.ā€ Kaz replied. And a no to not saving her. As far as they knew, they still thought Nadia was hiding in Novokribirsk and away from the prying eyes of people who would hunt her.

Inej grew more irritated, ā€œWe canā€™t go!ā€

ā€œCan we?ā€ Kaz fired back, looking up at her.

She brought her arm up and showed off the Menagerie mark on her wrist to him, ā€œAs much as I want to go and get Nadia back, I canā€™t go.ā€

ā€œYou will.ā€ He told her firmly. ā€œI had sent Nadia to Novokribirsk because of this. She insisted on buying you off.ā€

ā€œWhat?ā€ Inej looked at him in disbelief, but she felt wanted and like she belonged to them. Nadia went all the way across the sea to retrieve valuable belongings, expensive rare ones at that, and steal her way so Inej can leave Heleen and her brothel.

ā€œShe was tasked to steal more money or anything worth more to get you out.ā€ Kaz told her, his regret tormenting him. He regretted letting Nadia go alone and she got herself in trouble. He expected her to get in trouble because thatā€™s what she was drawn towards, thatā€™s what got her to him in the first place. Trouble with Jesper, trouble with a few gang members.

Despite the warm feeling she felt and the gratitude, Inej couldnā€™t help the feeling that Kaz was blaming her for getting Nadia captured.

ā€œI have a plan.ā€

ā€œNo, you donā€™t and Nadia sure as hell would agree with me.ā€ Inej replied back.

ā€œWell, last I checked she isnā€™t here is she?ā€ Kaz snapped at her before returning his attention to the papers he was looking through.

ā€œYou donā€™t know how to pull off this job.ā€ Inej pushed on, trying to get him to change his mind.

ā€œI still have six hours and right now, you arenā€™t helping.ā€ He hissed at Inej, looking back down at the paperwork he had on his desk.

ā€œMaybe you crack how to find a way to cross the Fold, but this doesnā€™t solve this problem, does it?ā€ Inej shoved her arm in his view out of aggravation.

ā€œIf I canā€™t crack this, none of us are going anywhere and Nadia will be stuck with the Grisha all her life.ā€ He glowered at her. He knew of Nadiaā€™s fear of being trapped and chained because despite her working for him, he gave her enough freedom and didnā€™t make her feel the suffocation of being trapped. She didnā€™t know when to resist and when to comply, that was the problem he needed her to learn.

ā€œAnd if you do?ā€ She fired back.

ā€œThen maybe you stay here!ā€ Kaz exploded out of irritation, tired of her questions and slammed the papers he was holding down on the desk angrily.

ā€œMaybe I wonā€™t be here when you get back.ā€ Inej said to him. Although there was guilt in her stomach at the thought of leaving her katana wielding companion in the hands of Grisha and Generals, she knew she couldnā€™t leave with Heleen around. She turned around and left his office, heading towards his office doors quietly and left there. She knew heā€™ll think that sheā€™ll leave through the windows. Going down the Club, she went straight to where Jesper was drinking.

ā€œInej.ā€ Kaz called out to her, limping towards the open area of his office where Nadia would usually sit and read. Only to find an open window, letting in cold but misty air from the rain. He looked over at the table in front of the couch that Nadia usually occupied, the blue lily flower on the coffee table was wilting. The Fox would leave lily flowers on his desk or coffee table to signal him that she came by and she had a report when he wasnā€™t in his office. By the time he would find one lying around, he would approach her on his own and now, there was nothing but a dying flower.

āœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ: *āœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ:* *:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§*:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§ā˜†ā˜¼ā˜½ĻŸāœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ: *āœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ:* *:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§*:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§

In the Second Army Camp, Nadia stood in one part of the Generalā€™s tent where he left her while he was to retrieve the Sun Summoner. She now sat at the velvet black cushion of his couch, waiting for him to return. She knew she couldnā€™t escape with the camp crawling with Grisha and soldiers, especially when she had no idea how to go through or around the Fold without being killed. She was trapped and she felt her throat close in.

Nadia looked up to see the same Healer who healed her leg from the long cut on her thigh. She tensed up, ā€œWhat are you doing here?ā€

ā€œHe asked for me to come and look after you.ā€ Sonia stood beside the flap of the tent and watched the Lightning Summoner shift uneasily.

ā€œI donā€™t need a babysitter.ā€ Nadia retorted back to her, annoyed that he would send someone to look after her when she just needed a few moments by herself.

ā€œI donā€™t agree with that considering how you slipped past and injured 8 DrĆ¼skelle hunters and put them down on the ground in a matter of minutes. Youā€™re quite tricky and agile.ā€ The Healer approached the girl and sat down across from her.

ā€œWell, this must be stressful for you.ā€ Sonia tried to get the Lightning Summoner talking, tried to make her comfortable.

Nadia stayed quiet, wanting to be left alone after being whisked far away from her home by the Darkling.

Trust only yourself, Vixen. Thatā€™ll make you survive. It is your servant, it can be bent and broken to your will.

She could hear him clearly, clear as the crystal blue water of the True Sea. Trust only yourself, Nadia. She thought as the same raspy voice of Kaz Brekker popped in again.

You are the Vixen of the Barrel, remember that. People fear you, you inflict fear so others wonā€™t come for you.

There was a reason why Kaz gave her the name Vixen, besides her qualities of a fox, she had dreams of a fox that was slightly bigger than others. The bright red orange coat shimmering against the sunlight with light paws that sneaked about the forest.

Sonia, on the other hand, watched the half Shu girl ponder in thought. She knew she must be confused and scared, especially after being abruptly taken by the Darkling and his personal Grisha and guards. She knew what it was like being taken away against their will. She knew firsthand of that when they took her to Little Palace and she was lucky to be taken there rather than start at an army camp. The luxurious she was exposed to and the hot stones that warmed her bed at night and the fine clothes she was provided.

Nadia thought of the opposite, she wasnā€™t scared. Confused maybe, but never scared. She didnā€™t show fear to anyone or anything. Although it bubbled inside of her and she chose not to let it out of her cage. The wall she put up to protect herself. She had built this wall to be unpredictable and learnt a few things in the streets. She was considered a street rat to all before her life of crime started, but somehow Kaz gave her a power that she never thought she could have when he offered her a place among the Dregs.

ā€œWhatā€™s your name?ā€ Sonia asked the Lightning Summoner and this caused Nadia to look over at her with a glare. The half Suli girl was fully aware of the distrust that Nadiaā€™s eyes held. ā€œThereā€™s no point in hiding it anymore.ā€

Nadia sighed in defeat, knowing she couldnā€™t go back to Ketterdam because she was surrounded by soldiers of the First and Second Army. With everything going on, resistance was not the answer to everything. Tricks were something sheā€™s good at, and she was willing to show them and play along while she planned her escape. ā€œNadia. Lisitsa.ā€

The voice popped up again. Make them think youā€™re a fragile girl with no home and nothing else to go back to.

ā€œItā€™s a beautiful name, Miss Lisitsa.ā€ A deep velvety voice interrupted the conversation of the two girls and revealed the dark black kefta of the Grisha General. His eyes on Nadia. ā€œBut Iā€™m afraid that itā€™s time to go.ā€

āœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ: *āœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ:* *:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§*:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§ā˜†ā˜¼ā˜½ĻŸāœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ: *āœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ:* *:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§*:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§

Meanwhile, Kaz had just dealt with Pekka Rollins and his men. Being beaten up and threatened after Inej fled. He had to find a way to cross the Fold fast if he wanted to get the million kruge and the Vixen back. He limped towards Jesper, who sat at one of the bar stools and tried to get a drink.

Jesper sighed in exasperation when Kazā€™s hand found its way towards his shot, but he saw his bossā€™ enraged expression and his bruised face with his messy dark hair. He was still shaking in rage and Jesper decided to ask, ā€œYou all right, boss?

Kaz sighed and slammed the shot glass down. He grunted out his response, deciding to tell Jesper what happened. ā€œNo. Iā€™ve been warned off the job.ā€

ā€œBy who?ā€ The sharpshooter questioned.

ā€œWho do you think?ā€ Kaz let him guess. He knew his Crows were confused between his rage towards Pekka Rollins, but they always knew he had a hatred towards him. He pulled out his pocket watch to check the time.

ā€œDid he remember you?ā€ Jesper asked, suddenly alarmed and concerned.

ā€œIf he had, Iā€™d be dead.ā€ Kaz grunted out, putting the pocket watch away. ā€œSunrise is in five hours.ā€

ā€œYeah, but weā€™re off the job now, right?ā€

ā€œNever make decisions out of fear, Jesper. Only out of spite.ā€ Kaz limped forward and only stopped a few meters away from the Zemini boy. Jesper hummed, Nadia was right. He did things out of spite. The anger, vengeance, or anything he came across to, all decisions were made out of spite.

ā€œWell, greed always worked for me.ā€ Jesper shrugged, watching his boss peer down at his Club. The Zemini boy was waiting for a sarcastic response, but it never came. Right, Nadia was still out there and missing.

Kaz remained silent after that, analyzing his club and the exciting cheers of his clients and regulars. He tried not to wince at the pain from the bruise of his cheek, ignoring the burning pain. He tilted his head to Jesper once more, ā€œGo guard the door.ā€

Jesper didnā€™t object, but he was annoyed. Instead of whining about it, he obeyed his boss as he didnā€™t want to anger him more than he already was and left his side. Leaving Kaz all by himself near the bar counters. He examined the club once more, seeing nothing out of the ordinary until he caught a woman counting money. She was counting differently than the people here in Kerch. Ravka. He finally had something to get him and his Crows across the Fold and retrieve the Sun and Lightning Summoner.

āœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ: *āœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ:* *:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§*:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§ā˜†ā˜¼ā˜½ĻŸāœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ: *āœ§ļ½„ļ¾Ÿ:* *:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§*:ļ½„ļ¾Ÿāœ§

Back with Nadia, the General led her to another part of his tent. Entering the tent, she saw a girl who was also Shu with dark brown eyes and black messy hair. She looked disheveled and confused, dirt adorned her face and clothes. She looked out of

ā€œMiss Lisitsa, I want you to meet Alina Starkov. The Sun Summoner.ā€ The Darkling introduced them to each other and both girls examined each other. ā€œMiss Starkov, meet Nadia Lisitsa. The Lightning Summoner.ā€

Nadia thought that Alina was very pretty despite the dirt stains on her, she had long lashes, thin lips and hooded brown eyes. Her thin waist and her black hair that fell just the middle of her back. Although she was pretty, Nadia thought that she looked sickly and almost exactly like her. The prominent dark bags under her eyes and her pale skin as well as the loss of color on her cheeks. She was quite short, almost as short as herself but Nadia was taller by an inch and standing beside the Darkling didnā€™t do her any better as they looked tiny compared to him.

Alina, on the other hand, examined the alleged Lightning Summoner, who was behind the Darkling. When the girl stepped up and she fully saw her face and body, she couldnā€™t help but feel a tinge of jealousy as she examined the girl. With the same hooded eyes that were brown, wide and doe eyed that gave her a touch of innocence, the pale pink lips, the curly brown hair, the thin nose and the round cheeks. But just like her, she looked sickly with the drained color on her cheeks, pale lips, bags under her eyes. But what caught her eye was the handle of a sword on her back and she suddenly felt guarded at the sight of the weapon.

ā€œIā€™ll leave you two acquainted while I speak to Ivan.ā€ He told them in a hurry before strutting out of his tent and leaving the two by themselves.

ā€œYou too?ā€ Nadia turned her to Alina, who looked over at her.

ā€œYeah.ā€ Before they could even exchange another word, two guards entered the tent unexpectedly and looked towards the two girls who stood across from each other.

ā€œTime to go.ā€ The two guards grabbed their elbows roughly and dragged them out of the tent and this caused Nadia to protest loudly with Alina. The two girls were shoved towards the Generalā€™s black carriage. Ivan was already standing beside the doors of the carriage and Nadia caught a glimpse of Fedyor taking his place behind her.

ā€œYou heard me. Letā€™s go. Get in.ā€ Ivan demanded the Sun Summoner and looked over to the Lightning one who seemed exhausted from the journey she had.

ā€œNo! Thereā€™s been a mistake. I need to find Mal.ā€ Alina continued as two guards prevented her and Nadia from escaping.

ā€œThe general does not make mistakes. His orders were to get you to Little Palace immediately. Now get in the coach.ā€ Ivan let go of the door of the carriage and walked towards Alina in a threatening stance. Nadia stiffened unintentionally and her hand twitched.

ā€œEveryone makes mistakes. Look at me. Do I look important to you?ā€ Alina snapped at him, exhausted after entering the Fold and being dragged to face the Black General. Nadia couldnā€™t help but feel the same as her. Both were taken away by their will and now they were being forced to get in the carriage, the very same carriage she and the General shared while travelling together.

ā€œYou look like trouble.ā€ He looked over to Nadia, his eyes flickered towards her katana that still rested on her back. ā€œAnd I sure know the other one is the definition of trouble. Which are nearly the same. Move.ā€

ā€œWait. Malyen Oretsev. Heā€™s in the medic tent. I need to speak to him. Iā€™m going to speak to him.ā€ Alina pleaded with him. Nadia stood awkwardly behind her with Fedyor, both of them watching the scene in front of them. She didnā€™t know what to do or what to say at that moment so she just stood there quietly.

ā€œListen to me. Every spy in the area will hear what you did and our enemies will come for you. They heard about the Lightning Summoner as well while we were near the Fjerdan border.ā€ Ivan told the Sun Summoner, walked towards them with an intimidating stride, but it didnā€™t phase Nadia as she had learned to control her eoptions. ā€œOur only chance is to get you and the Lightning Summoner to Os Alta, behind palace walls, before you get killed. Come on.ā€

Alina hesitated before willingly climbing in the carriage and sat down.

ā€œAnd you. Please no more.ā€ Ivan pointed to her and she smirked a little, knowing it was never going to happen anyway. ā€œIn you go.ā€

Nadia huffed, upset that she would have to ride another ling journey in the stupid coach. She got in anyway and sat beside the Sun Summoner with Ivan and Fedyor following, sitting across from her.

ā€œAlina!ā€ The Sun Summoner heard a familiar voice and this caused her to perk and look behind her to see her friend shouting for her.

ā€œNo, wait! I didnā€™t know!ā€ The two childhood friends called out to each other with Alina banging on the glass window behind them and Nadia couldnā€™t help but feel sympathy for the girl. She clearly had a life outside her job as a cartographer and now she was a Sum Summoner who was leaving her injure best friend by himself. And Nadia thought the trip couldnā€™t be any worse than she thought.

I Found [1] - A Crackle Of Electricity

NADIA LISITSA was the thunder and lightning that terrorized Ketterdam. The accompaniment of rain and the darkness. The thundering clap that scared children at night. She was a force that swirled around in the shadows and hid in them, only catching the glint of silver from her katana or the golden crow head on her dagger that was stashed on her right thigh and the glittering silver individual sequin from her navy blue scarf that covered half her face and her curled hair. Jesper Fahey was one of her first few friends in Ketterdam after being trapped in the White Rose. Although she was treated better than the girls in the Menagerie, she still hated being there because people treated her like trash for looking like a Shu Han despite growing up in Ravka.

All her life she was treated like that wherever she went. Jesper didnā€™t see her like the other people of Ravka or Ketterdam thought of her, he saw her as a girl who was tired of being treated like trash and so she hid within the darkness and lurked and terrorized those people. Besides her hard exterior, he saw a gentle girl who was hurt and abandoned and alone. At one point in one of their meetings, she saved him from a guy who was furious at him for stealing. Seeing her skills of fighting and the pipe she swung around perfectly, the Zemeni boy told his boss about her.

The night she met Kaz Brekker was a rainy night in Ketterdam. She was walking home from working at the parlour and he spoke up from a corner near to where she stayed. Unknowingly, he watched over her, watching and observing her every move. He saw that she can move swiftly and quietly from the way she carried herself when walking, he saw her katana and how she moved like the flow of a river with it.

Despite not knowing each other and having only met once, he was willing to pay her indenture from Onkle Felix and have her be a part of the Dregs. One of his Crows. One night, he promised that heā€™ll pay her off and have her work in the Crow Club. And he did. She now resided in the club with Kaz and Jesper, working as a barmaid and guard as well as gaining information. Kaz gave her a dagger with a crow head on the hilt he had gifted her after joining as well as a new leather belted saya (sheath) for her katana that will be placed on her back like a bag instead on her hip. She gained a new title among the Barrel, the Vixen.

After being a month with Kaz and Jesper, Nadia was walking back from her missions until she felt a lingering stare near Tante Heleenā€™s brothel. There she discovered one of the girls, a Suli girl named Inej Ghafa. A year younger than her, but she was quiet as a mouse. No one couldnā€™t hear her and even Nadia couldnā€™t the first time, but she noticed. She had seen her lurking about and Nadia had learned that she was skilled at getting information for Heleen, skilled with the daggers.

And so Nadia went back to Kaz and told him of a girl who was short and small enough to hide from people and can get information. That was the day Kaz approached Heleen. Where Inej had heard him. Where he got Inej to work for him and pay her indenture, and so Inej became a part of the Dregs. There, it started the friendship between Inej and Nadia. There, the Wraith was introduced in the Barrel.

A couple months had passed after Inej had joined the Crows, Nadia was being sent by Kaz to Novokribirsk and steal jewelleries as Inej was unable to leave Ketterdam because of Heleen. She wanted to free Inej from the brothel. Kaz and Nadia were doing everything to free her from the Menagerie and so the Bastard of the Barrel sending the Ravkan girl to Novokribirsk was a way to get more money for them.

Walking about the city she saw vendors, fruits, vegetables, and jewellery around. Being sneaky, she took a couple of jewels and rings and wallets and watches left and right with a few fake smiles and sweet words. Though some seemed to spat at her for her Shu Han looks. She was doing well and was about to leave until she was caught. Saints, she thought as she started to run. Jumping over wooden boxes and ducking under fences to get away. Her panting was the only thing she was hearing by the time she got to the edge of a forest.

She successfully got away from them until someone grabbed her from behind, feeling a hand going around her waist holding her there. She grunted and tried to get out of the grip her captor had on her. She suddenly slammed her head back causing her captor to let go of her. She screamed as she tried to pull away from them and tried to reach for her dagger or katana by her side. She felt a knife on her leg and she let out a screamed pain from the cut that was made. She gained strength back and fought until a sudden light from her hands went towards her captor and she fell unconscious.

Nina Zenik finished walking about Novokribirsk and was already in her room until she heard a thundering clap behind the room she was staying in. She went out to her balcony to see flashes of silver white light in the woods. Her eyes widened, it canā€™t be. She began to run towards the source of white light and saw a young Shu Han girl fighting a couple of guards. She was good at fighting, she had to give her that. But what was concerning and amazing to her was the little electricity currents going through the Shu girl and dancing around her body. She knew the girl hadnā€™t noticed her change with also the white light that she was giving off.

Nina watched as the girl knocked out two more men with the butt of her katana. She was doing well, until she was tackled and pinned down on the forest ground. Nina was about to help her, but was interrupted with a lightning strike towards the girlā€™s captor. Her eyes watched in astonishment, it was her. The girl fell unconscious after her fight with her captor, lying still on the ground. Nina didnā€™t hear a heartbeat from him and she knew he was dead.

With strength she had, she caught sight of two more men who were advancing towards the girl. She stepped out and held her arms up, her hands in a triangle shape with her index fingers, middle fingers, and her thumbs up. She waved her hands delicately and slowed their hearts.

Nina walked towards the Shu girl and heard her slow heartbeat meaning she was asleep. She was still breathing. Grabbing the katana and putting it back to where her saya is, she placed the dagger back to the girlā€™s thigh holster. She saw a cut on the right thigh and she slowed the blood flow from her thigh to keep it from bleeding more blood out. She would need to patch it up first before continuing the normal blood flow through her leg.

Hoisting the girl up, she dragged her towards the inn and up to her room where sheā€™ll be kept safe until she sends a letter to her General and be ordered with her instructions. The girlā€™s dagger was taken by her and kept in her luggage so the younger assassin couldnā€™t reach it and attack her if she was ever to wake up. Nina smiled, she had found a rare summoner. A Lightning Summoner. Her General would be pleased to meet and see the girl.

Why do you reblog your own fics so much?

Because someone might as well!? And look at this. Look. At. This.

Why Do You Reblog Your Own Fics So Much?

Does this look right to you??

These are just the last three fics I wrote. I appreciate the likes, believe me I do, but you have to understand. Likes do nothing for content creators. Itā€™s the reblogs. Because thatā€™s how you find shit on your dashboard. Through reblogs. Not likes. This isnā€™t twitter or tiktok or instagram. This is a website thatā€™s run by the reblog system.

Reblogging helps content creators put their stuff out there. Why do you think so many people stopped writing fanfic and creating beautiful fanart and edits? Itā€™s because they put in hours of work and donā€™t get nearly enough notes for their masterpieces. Yes we do this because we enjoy it but like...some validation wonā€™t hurt. A boost of confidence here and there might be all someone needs to finish whatever thing they started and left.

Anyway, Iā€™m still going to reblog my shit...
