phil having a mild mental breakdown and dyeing a bunch of towels, a bathmat and multiple shirts green just because dan wasn't home honestly sounds like something out of a 2015 phanfic but i love him for it

I just had to take a step back because being a Tae fan in this chapter is wild.

Because Layover. My heart. The songs, his voice, the aesthetic, the vibe. That little spritely blond prince laughing and splashing around Spain. (When he's not crooning in gold sequins in a cave). And so it's like, okay. This is Solo Tae. I love it.

(And let's just skip over all the distinct live performances where Tae really said "call me just a visual" with his whole chest)

But then, Love Wins All out of nowhere. Just decided to star as the most endearing romantic lead in the most breathtaking cinematic music video for one of the most beloved singers in the country. And just ate it up. The chemistry, the acting. Had everyone gasping and crying and begging for more. Like it was a full scale shock to the system.

And then like 20 minutes later we get Fri(end)s. The song is amazing. His vocals just keep getting better somehow. He looks amazing. The music video is pretty and quirky and queer in all the best ways.

And then he has the absolute nerve to just randomly pop up on the internet BUFF and dancing hip hop.

This is the same person in less then a year. And it's not even everything. (See: interning in Mexico, blowing up a coffee chain with a Wes Anderson style commercial and hanging out with Jackie Chan in a velvet suit).

He's such a fascinating person.

I couldn’t have said it better!! He’s so multifaceted and it’s so fun to admire a person like him, he always has something to offer and to show you. Always giving his best in everything he does.

I hope he keeps exploring and keeps doing things that make him happy, because you can just tell every single thing he did during chapter 2 was something he always wanted to do. And the fact that he gave his input everywhere, I don’t know how to explain but it’s so refreshing to see someone genuinely loving what he does.

And Phil, something I talk about is the importance of having people to support you and that's been you, throughout my life. Through the little existential crisis, you've been there feeding me snacks, and as annoying as you have been, at least you've been there

I will find you in any world, Phil!

Obviously we were more than friends, but it was more than just romantic, this is someone that genuinely liked me, I trusted them, and for the first time since I was a tiny child I actually felt safe. And the relationship that we formed at that point was something that I needed in my life. We are real best friends, companions through life, like, actual soulmates

“it was more than just romantic” will always haunt me until i fucking die. it was not JUST romantic, it was more than that. but aside from all the beautiful other things they mean to each other, it WAS romantic. dan and phil, those clowns who banter nonstop and pull at each other’s legs and tease and bully and mock each other, who are partners in crime and best friends until the end, they are romantic with each other too. they go on dates and buy each other little gifts and facetime as soon as they wake up when they aren’t together and celebrate important things side by side, they kiss in their forever home and cuddle on the couch while watching anime and make each other coffee and order each other dinner, they love deeply despite showing the world only a tiny reflection of that love

i can’t even imagine it clearly but i believe it so wholeheartedly it turns my stomach upside down and spins my head with wonder
