hnghhhh I’m going insane thinking abt how much effort was put into making BSD’s main characters reflect the works of the authors they’re based on!! i seriously recommend picking up some of their works if you want insight into the BSD characterization it’s soooo interestinggggg (or if you can’t at least go check out @bsd-bibliophile they’ve got sooo much good stuff!!!)

also they’re just. classics anyway completely separate from him being my fave in bsd i am OBSESSED w nakahara-sensei’s poems theyre soooo good ok well not completely separate bc of the. yknow. characters whole personality inspired by the poems anyway but u get what I mean asagiri you may not always make plot choices I understand but by god ur characterization and the amount of detail… ough bungou as a sort of modern response to classic literature is absolutely FASCINATING to look into bsd bungou stray dogs bungo stray dogs chuuya nakahara
