“What do you want?!” I yelled, backing further into the corner.

A soft sound was emitted by the voice, like a small sighing groan. A light flickered somewhere, and I was momentarily blinded.

Blinking furiously, I saw Trinity Foster, the head of lab, whom I had met twice before. I knew this from the nametag still hanging from the remnants of her lab coat.
