So This Is A Little Different From My Normal Posts, But Ive Had A Couple Of People Ask Me How I Learned

So this is a little different from my normal posts, but I’ve had a couple of people ask me how I learned Korean and for tips and tricks so this is a compilation of the tips and tricks that I personally used to help me learn.

First-Study, study, study. Spend at least a couple hours a week (or as much time as you can) practicing and learning new words and pronunciation.

Second-Speak! If you're like me and no one around you is Korean its really difficult to find someone to speak to and thats okay, just talk to yourself and say the new words out loud when you learn/practice them.

Third-Use as many senses as you can. Write the word down, read it, say it, hear it. This will help you to remember it. I’ve even heard of drawing pictures that goes along with the word.

Fourth-Remember the basics! The basics are super important in any language but especially in languages that have a different alphabet and different sounds than in your first language, and its really important that you remember them.

Fifth-Take advantage of the free apps/websites online. These are super useful and really helpful when you're trying to learn and you don't have a teacher, or even for practicing what your teacher gave you.

Sixth-Use YouTube to help with learning new words, writing in hangul, the different sounds that the hangul make, etc. Trust me it works wonders.

Seventh-Label everything. And I mean everything. Your house, objects, and work items that you have. This is an easy way to help remember what the name of these certain things are because you see the label whenever you use it.

Eighth-Keep a set notebook for that language. You need to have a designated notebook for just Korean or else it will get confusing and difficult to read through your notes.

Ninth-After taking notes for a certain period of time, (I do mine for about a week), look back through your notes and rearrange them a clean sheet of paper in a way that makes better sense.

Tenth-When practicing your pronunciation stick a pencil in your mouth sideways so that your teeth rest on it and speak around the pencil. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CHOKE ON THE PENCIL! This will help your mouth form the words in ways that is normally difficult for English speakers.

Eleventh-Learn Bachim. Just learn it. This will make life so much easier as you go through and continue learning. Just do it.

Twelfth-Dont be afraid to find a pen pal or someone who's willing to talk online in and about Korean. I know it might seem scary at first but trust me, it really helps you grow in confidence and fix any little mistakes that the computer cant help you catch.

Thirteenth-Watch KDramas/KPOP. I know you've probably heard this before but heres why you should so it. When you listen to how they speak and pronounce the words it helps you to correct your own speaking mistakes and help develop an accent.

Fourteenth-Listen to as many different accents as you can. If you get used to the Seal accent then when someone from Busan tries to talk to you you will most likely not be able to understand them, simply because of the slight differences in pronunciation.

Fifteenth-As soon as you feel comfortable enough or decide that you need to there are plenty of apps or websites where you can actually interact with Korean teenagers like yourself, most of the time over KPOP or KDRAMAS and it will help build your confidence.

This is is all I could really think of but please feel free to add your own thoughts, opinions, tips, tricks and information on the subject! And last but not least, remember you're not alone or weird for trying to learn Korean. It’s a beautiful language that can sometimes be really difficult. Just keep your head up and keep trying and I promise you'll make it!

About these BTS concept photos, I have 2 comments. 1st, I don't see any relation to the theme of the album: Love Yoursef: Answer. Second, I know BTS have always been honest about their issues concerning fame, but this got me sad. it's like they'rere complaining about us, Army, for getting famous and being followed by us. So, do they want us, army, to stop following them? Don't they like to have so many fans? Weren't they happy with getting so big? it's differnet from Hixtape lyrics: cont

So, first off thanks for commenting I love hearing peoples opinions and questions. And about the concept of Love Yourself Answer I cant say that I know what they’re thinking or doing, these are just my personal theories and what I can tell about the photos that were dropped, however BTS does have a tendency to bring light to places we’ve never seen before and connecting things we never though of so I wouldn’t put it past them to have some sort of connection between the album and the photos or else I don’t think BigHit would have let the photos drop. And then about your second comment I don’t personally think that its about having so many fans or anything or wanting Army to stop following them, I think it has more to do with the constant pressure society as a whole has put on them and the constant prying the media has put on their personal lives and everything they do to try and find fault with them or even discredit them. After becoming globally famous a lot of famous people and media icons are unhappy that they are famous for multiple reasons wether it be race or the message they’re trying to share or the fact that they are something fresh and genuinely happy and a good influence and it threatens their own careers. It also could be about sasaeng fans and how sometimes certain people take it to far but I don’t think thats what its talking about. I mentioned Army not to insinuate that BTS was constantly feeling pressure because of us more like how Army can sometimes unknowingly (and sasaengs) can add pressure to them. Like with Jimin’s weight, or Taehyung’s hair, or even the rumors of Namjoon’s plastic surgery. And it’s not always Army, a lot of people who made those comments were anti’s or people who don’t know BTS. Sometimes pressure can be to much, even with good intentions and some Army (definitely not all or even most) expect BTS to be perfect and that kind of pressure can sometimes feel suffocating. So I don’t believe BTS would ever make this about Army as they clearly love and adore Army with everything they have and are so grateful for everything Army has done for them I just added them in there because of my beliefs on the topic. And these are just my theories and what I can tell from the photos so please don’t take everything I saw as a definite, right now I’m just trying to work with what I was given. Thanks again for the questions though!

I fell like idols don't get enough respect for their dancing on and off stage, especially while they're singing. Dancing is using every muscle in your body and exhausting your oxygen flow. Its difficult to dance without singing especially with how complicated most idol dances are, but its made severely more difficult once you add in the singing. Singing also uses a lot of oxygen and when dancing it sometimes make sit very difficult to breathe. The ability of singing and dancing in sync that most idols have trained their bodies for for years is extremely difficult and complicated. So please when idols and accidentally miss a step in the dance or don't quite hit the note perfectly please don't be harsh and judgmental on them, they deserve respect for what they do.

I think the reason why Kpop attracts so many people and fans is because Kpop stars and idols are held at a higher standard. they have to dance, sing, act, model, etc. simply to become a singer so they're more entertaining to watch especially live where in most other places live singers stand still or walk around in Kpop they're dancing and jumping and its well choreographed. There’s also the aspect of the moral high ground I guess you could say. There’s few to none sex scandals, there’s little to none drinking under age or smoking illegal substance or anything like that. Which makes it a happier genre of music most times without it being covered in a slew of inappropriate behavior. Also stars are trainees first and train for months to years to debut and become a star which is a better system of creating stars than in most other places as the stars are trained and grow accustomed to the life their industry is setting up for them and it teaches them how to act in the public eye. This is just my opinion but this is one of the reasons why I love Kpop so much!

I really enjoy when male Kpop idols get close to each other and its not really because I ship them, its more because they're not afraid to get close to each other. Theres no imaginary rule that says because they are both guys they cannot be close or hug each other or cry and comfort each other. And thats really nice to able to watch them have fun nd interact with each other without believing in toxic masculinity.
