I've had some things going on that have gotten so bad I was super weak and disoriented yesterday to the point I needed help showering. Instead of my stool I had to sit on the tub floor, as I was too unstable for the stool. My husband had to join so he could help me bathe, as I was unable to do anything after trying to wash my hair first thing.
This is the 2nd time this specific issue has happened. Last time was the very beginning of the year, and it was much worse. I thought I was feeling myself die in real time. It was terrifying. This time wasn't as bad, but also I think it helped that this time around wasnt a 100% brand new experience. I started recognizing the feeling and texted my husband what was happening as I was stepping into the tub because I felt I was deteriorating very quickly.
My doctor ran tests, did visual exam, even tried an ultrasound to look into the area to see if we could find a hint. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Ah shit I have to call her and tell her it's happened again I almost forgot.
But yea. I'm so worried it's something serious that we just haven't caught yet.

By the way, you can improve your executive function. You can literally build it like a muscle.
Yes, even if you're neurodivergent. I don't have ADHD, but it is allegedly a thing with ADHD as well. And I am autistic, and after a bunch of nerve damage (severe enough that I was basically housebound for 6 months), I had to completely rebuild my ability to get my brain to Do Things from what felt like nearly scratch.
This is specifically from ADDitude magazine, so written specifically for ADHD (and while focused in large part on kids, also definitely includes adults and adult activities):
Here's a link on this for autism (though as an editor wow did that title need an editor lol):
Resources on this aren't great because they're mainly aimed at neurotypical therapists or parents of neurdivergent children. There's worksheets you can do that help a lot too or thought work you can do to sort of build the neuro-infrastructure for tasks.
But a lot of the stuff is just like. fun. Pulling from both the first article and my own experience:
Play games or video games where you have to make a lot of decisions. Literally go make a ton of picrews or do online dress-up dolls if you like. It helped me.
Art, especially forms of art that require patience, planning ahead, or in contrast improvisation
Listening to longform storytelling without visuals, e.g. just listening regularly to audiobooks or narrative podcasts, etc.
Meditation
Martial arts
Sports in general
Board games like chess or Catan (I actually found a big list of what board games are good for building what executive functioning skills here)
Woodworking
Cooking
If you're bad at time management play games or video games with a bunch of timers
Things can be easier. You might always have a disability around this (I certainly always will), but it can be easier. You do not have to be this stuck forever.
Well that friend and I are officially over with. She successfully got me to be the one to end it. So she doesn't feel in the wrong.
I'm over it. I'm over being on the recieving end of purposeful miscommunication. I'm done feeling like my pots and audhd are character flaws.
I'm done BEGGING to be spoken with clearly and effectively whenever there's been a tiff. I'm just done. I'm done. I wish you and your family the best. But we cannot be friends anymore.
I'm going to grieve for a while, for sure. But. It has to be done for my peace. (And clearly for yours too)
My kids are still young enough that they'll get over the loss of friendship with your kids pretty quickly. For that I am thankful.
I just want peace and respect from my future friendships to come. As I'm still hopeful there are more to come.
You're never to old to lose a friend. You're also never to old to make new ones either. Despite how it feels or seems sometimes.
We deserve this. We really do. When someone is having a mental health crisis the situation needs to be deescalated and remain calm. Scared disoriented individuals do not deserve to be taken to jail or to be shot and killed. We can have this guys, we really can.
i accidentally clicked onto and off of the "explore" page very quickly, and in the second or so that the explore page was onscreen i saw a beautiful photoshopped image that may infact be nothing like how i saw it due to the speed at which it appeared and disappeared.... but still. what i saw was beautiful
it looked like this
