So it's kinda interesting how Jinx is basically Caitlyn's own extremely malevolent genie. Every desire she has, Jinx fulfills, but with such a cruel twist that it almost defeats the point.
Want something new and exciting in your sheltered life? Well, one might say nearly getting blown up is pretty exciting. Looking for a real job to undertake? Here's a convenient pile of evidence leading you straight to the heart of a criminal empire. Good luck getting out of this mess though. Coworkers making you feel excluded? They can't do that now; they're dead. Longing to see Vi again? Don't worry. You will be taken straight to her, like it or not. Mum being too restrictive? Never again!
It's no wonder Jinx is associated with monkeys when her role in the show is ensuring a monkey's paw curls any time Caitlyn has a vague inclination towards something.
Much as I love The Red Wedding, I have to say it…
There should have been two wedding cakes. It would be such a nice callback!
No one else has ever expressed this, so maybe it's just me, but Ezran's post-timeskip design feels somewhat… uncanny valley. I figured the eyes are what's putting me off, so here's a really quick “fix” edit (bonus brown eyes because why not!).
The way I fell in love with these two as soon as they spoke.
A strong argument!
Hello there! Your blog is stunning!
Can I ask what your favorite cloud formation is? When I was on vacation we were in the wide open fields and almost every day you could see this massive rain clouds traveling by, only once emptying themselves above us...
Aw thank you! I see you have clouds on your blog as well, so we both have good taste! ☁ I'd say cirrus clouds (those thin wispy ones that kinda look like feathers) are probably the prettiest but I don't have a favorite type of cloud per se.
I chose them as a theme precisely because they can take so many different shapes and be interpreted in so many different ways. Speaking of rainclouds, for example: most people would associate them with sadness and ill luck and whatnot, but I think rain is a lot more uplifting than perfectly clear sunny weather. That's another way the aesthetic suits me.
(This ask is part of an ask game btw, so go ahead and participate!)
I think you are overlooking this sequence:
This is Powder realizing the cause of the explosion — flashback and everything — because the crystals happened to spill out of her bag and suffer enough impact to produce lightning effect but not enough to blow up in her face.
If Powder herself didn't connect the dots until that point, how could Vi? Why would she assume it's a dangerous explosive and not just some flashy jewels they could peddle for a good price when everything's settled down?
I mean, gadgetry aside, leaving explosive materials in the hands of someone who has already caused an accident with them once before would've been the height of idiocy and not at all Vi's style. She's been shown to have a good head on her shoulders, besides occasional impulsivity.
Can we talk about the fact Vi is also partly at fault for Vanders, Mylos and Claggors death just as much as Jinx?
Powder WANTED to give the crystals to Vander, but no Vi wanted to prove herself and let a child keep dangerous crystals! Especially a child who likes to make gagets!
Vi knew the crystals are dangerous, and so did Powder, but Powder listend to her sister because she admires her and trusts her, while yes she was old enough to know better, Powder trusted Vi, she was her only family.
People are speculating how mad Jinx will be to see Vi as an enforcer, but consider this: what if she literally doesn't recognize her? We know Jinx has a tenuous grip on reality that I'm sure isn't gonna get any tighter after what happened, so there could be an inverse of that scene in Season One where she mistakes her enemy for Vi, except this time it really is Vi and Jinx can't comprehend that because all she sees is the enforcer uniform (possibly causing her to seriously hurt her family member without realizing… again).

noun a cloud walker; an individual who lives in the “clouds” of her own imagination or dreams.
People expressed desire to have this icon, so here's a clean version from OP's screenshot:
The file format needs to be changed from png to ico for it to work, so just click Save Image As… and type .ico at the end of the name.

Yeah, Katara creates mist in The Painted Lady and steam in The Awakening. It's pretty useful for cover, although it tends to leave one just as blind as their enemy.
What's interesting is that firebenders can also create steam, which means waterbending crosses over into every other element: Steam — water and fire Clouds — water and air Mud — water and earth
The illusion of separation and all that.
Atla opinion question for y'all
I've thought about this before, and I'm leaning towards no? Katara heats up water the normal way:
The only person who uses bending for this is Iroh, and Jet immediately assumes he's a firebender. So I think waterbenders can change the state of water, but not necessarily its temperature.

I should get 5$ every time I see someone misuse the words “psychotic” and “delusional”
I think Jinx is aware of the fact that Silco is to Vi what Caitlyn is to her, actually. The dinner party in particular always read to me as a fair trade kind of deal — as in, “I'll get rid of the person who hurt our family and made you feel threatened, but you gotta do the same on your end or it's not gonna work”. Hence the derisive scoff when Vi refuses to shoot. She knows she can't keep both of her loved ones, so Vi doesn't get to keep both of hers either. That sounds fair, right?
The thing about Jayce though:
and can all be traced back to the jayce's dangerous experiments, which vander's kids never would have gotten their hands on if it had been secure in the academy instead of lying around his living room
is that he couldn't have done that. The Academy would've never authorized the project because of Piltover's strict anti-magic laws. Jayce had to do it in secrecy, using whatever means available, or just give up. He wasn't counting on someone breaking into his study (out of every house in Piltover, a lot of which are probably more enticing targets), stumbling upon those particular materials even though they are hidden in a chest that doesn't stand out in any way, and then horribly misusing them.
The truth is that the whole story — Ekko seeing Jayce and deciding to follow him back home, Powder finding the crystals because there was a sandwich nearby and dropping one in a hurry when the owner came back at a bad moment, Silco resurfacing at the exact same time — had an extremely low chance of happening the way it did. While it adds sting to the tragedy and justifies Jinx's name, it also means Jayce had no reasonable way of foreseeing his actions would end up hurting people from the Undercity. What he was doing was dangerous; he even acknowledges that (“A little danger is worth the risk, don't you think?”). However, it also had the potential to massively improve people's lives, and the person in danger was mostly himself.
So as usual, the root of all evil in Arcane doesn't come down to anyone's individual fault, but systematic issues. Had the Council been more open to innovation (ironically, for a city of progress), Jayce could've conducted his experiments in a safer manner, and had they done more to help Zaun, the kids wouldn't need to steal anything in the first place. Of course Jayce eventually becomes a part of the system and makes a boatload of questionable decisions, which is why Jinx blows him up along with the other people responsible (…and Viktor). But when talking about Act I specifically, I find it hard to say he's done anything wrong.
arcane season 1 is like yes this is jinx's villain origin story, but if you think about it, is she really that evil? is fighting back against your oppressors with weapons of their own creation (both hextech and jinx) really that unjustified? and personally i don't think it is. but the point isn't finding the answer, it's that you can ask so many difficult questions in the first place
Jinx isn't a bad person for killing enforcers or blowing up the council. She's a bad person for brutally killing Firelights (her fellow oppressed people), aiding Silco's drug operation despite the harm it causes to people in Zaun, and kidnapping & psychologically tormenting her sister. That is what makes her a villain.
I find the choice to blame Jayce of all people rather… odd? He didn't create the crystals that Powder used as a weapon — he obtained them and studied them in pursuit of scientific discoveries, with the show making it clear that Hextech is neither good nor evil by itself. Every instance in which it caused harm was facilitated by the flaws of the ones using it: be it Piltover's corruption, Jayce's naïvette, Viktor's carelessness, or Powder's desperation to prove herself; and while there are many reasons for her state of mind at that moment, Jayce certainly isn't one of them.

ADHD & autistic linguistic solidarity?
So apparently, the Swedish female pronoun is “hon”, which is kind of cute even if it's not pronounced anywhere close to its English version. Fun fact: some people may not know this, but Ukrainian actually has two different words for love! The one you mentioned — “люблю” — is a more general term, while “кохаю” denotes either romantic interest (when talking about another person) or just really deep devotion to something. Usually one's motherland, because Ukrainians are nothing if not patriotic. I just think it's neat to have that distinction.
:0 do you speak ukrainian
Звичайно!
A bit more like “zvychaino”, but yep. It means “of course”. Swedish is cool too though! Every language is unique and interesting, so I think you should be proud of knowing two.
