I lied put your clothes back on. I'm gonna explain to you how the master and the doctor's behaviours and lifestyle can be traced back to an accident they had in their childhood where they killed a child with a rock to protect the other from drowning. they kept it a secret and burned the body together. and the doctor was a selfish child so when the personification of death herself asked him, he decided to put the blame of the murder on the master. Then he forgot that HE was the murderer and thought the master was the one who did it, for all his life. The master was an innocent child but because of the doctor he became the Death's champion, leaving a trail of death wherever he went. Subconsciously, when the murder happened, the doctor felt so guilty that he decided to pursue a life full of kindness and helping people. While the master, saw the act of killing someone for him with adoration. The only way to defend himself would become violence. He learned that love, is expressed through violence (that if someone really loves you, they would kill for you). And he kept living by this.
