Sorting Jung Hoseok| BTS Scenario ~ Hogwarts AU

Sorting Jung Hoseok | BTS Scenario ~ Hogwarts AU

This kid had quite the bouncing energy, but not nearly as mentally demanding as the Slytherin-like Gryffindor.

Rather than the mental output, his energy output was physical. He was very aware of his surroundings and his body was strong and ready for anything. Physical output already excluded him from Ravenclaw potential, but Hoseok already knew that he was not the type to follow his father’s footsteps.

Despite his body ready to pounce at first instinct as a lion, his heart proved that he was just a sensitive marshmallow. He was ambitious, but not in the ways of a Slytherin. His body was his greatest offense, which made it a good defense, because what he really needed was goodness, kindness.

Although the Sorting Hat’s had not manipulated any child’s house, the hat couldn’t help but envision this child to be the perfect companion of that Slytherin-like Hufflepuff. They seemed to be polar opposites, but this child seems like he could get past anyone’s barriers with his smile, so long as this child doesn’t get too disheartened by people pushing away his friendliness. But with the determination of a Gryffindor and the heart of a Hufflepuff, the odds looked pretty good. He had a sense of familiarity with another Gryffindor-like Hufflepuff earlier.

“Hufflepuff!”

Canceled | Taehyung

Summary line: Sometimes plans must be canceled, but that doesn’t stop either of you from trying

He sighed as he pressed the speed dial button. Your name, face, and number appeared on the screen as his phone was connecting to yours. He stared lovingly at your picture until you picked up. He put the phone up to his ear.

“Hello, Tae!” Your voice was so cheery, it nearly broke him.

“Hey, Y/N…” By the sound of his voice, you already knew what he was going to say.

“You know what? My manager emailed me about half an hour ago about something I have to do. I was conflicted myself with how I should organize my time. Now I don’t have to.” You rambled on of the reason that tonight is a bust on your part. But what your manager asked of you was actually really small; it would have taken you half an hour, at most, to do what he asked.

“I’m sorry. I know you really wanted this tonight.” You mumbled. He put a hand up to his face. He called to apologize for his absence, and here you were trying to save his face and apologize for what wasn’t even your fault.

“Y/N, I’m sorry. I’m the one who has to break the date in the first place.” V looked down and shuffled his feet.

“Don’t even worry about it. You work so hard! I’m just sad for you that you don’t get a break.” You shook your head even though he couldn’t see it. You covered the mouthpiece and blew the candles.

“Do you have food over there? Do you want me to bring you anything?” you asked.

“No, it’s fine. We have food here.” He sighed. And besides, seeing you would probably make him excuse himself from working and then make him feel guilty the next morning that his work wasn’t done.

“Alright. I’ll still see you when you get home though. I hope you don’t have to work too late.” You said. You both said your goodbyes.

Later that night…

He finally dragged his feet through the thresholds of your home. It was finally time for him to call it a night. The first room to his left was the kitchen and dining area. He peered in. It was very clean, almost the same way it looked when he left. Almost.

He saw lingering traces of what would have been a wonderful night. Used candlesticks were pushed aside to the corner of the counter. Pots and pans were all on the drying rack. Wrappers, empty packages, and food skins were piled up in the garbage can. You were probably completely set when he called you. You probably even had a dress on. He would never know. You wouldn’t even tell him, lest he be upset with himself.

He didn’t eat during practice. His mood was so low and he didn’t want to eat anything else but your food.

He went to the fridge to see if there was anything left. It was bittersweet to see all the food you made tonight in storage. If he was able to make it, he would have left nothing for leftovers. The food was prepared and the candles were lit. You looked beautiful and gussied up. The only thing missing from the picture was him. He grabbed the food and heated it up. He wished that he could have tasted it when it was still fresh and warm.

When the food was heated up, he took it out of the microwave and shuffled to the living room. When he got there, he was surprised to see you still awake, watching a movie.

“Hey.” You said lightly and quietly since it was really late. He came over to you and sat down next to you and put the plate of food on the coffee table. He wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you in, nuzzling your neck.

“I’m sorry for tonight.” He mumbled.

“Oh, no. Are you still upset about that? Don’t be!” You pulled away from him and turned your body to his, tucking your legs under you. You took his face in your hands and gave him a light kiss on the cheek.

“I was able to finish my work too. It’s all good.” You smiled. You looked at the plate of food and looked at the clock. It was past midnight already.

“Didn’t you eat already? Is it okay for you to eat even if it’s past midnight?” You asked with your face filled with concern.

“I didn’t want anything they had. I’ll be fine.” He took the plate and started eating. He grinned for the first time that night and looked at you with his mouth full.

“This is really good!” He said with his mouth full. You laughed and told him to take it easy.

“I can’t take it easy! I’m hungry and this is amazing.” He slowed down though as he kept thinking how you had prepared everything. He wondered if he went to the bedroom that he would see a dress in a puddle on the floor.

He finished his food and cuddled with you as you finished watching the rest of the movie. Even as the credits rolled, you two aimlessly stared at the TV. You were thinking about nothing and was too lazy to get up and stop the movie. He was too busy thinking.

“I’ll make it up to you.” He said randomly. You turned your head to look him. You raised an eyebrow.

“I’m fine. Really.” You emphasized.

“Yeah, well I’m not fine. My girlfriend prepared a wonderful night and I couldn’t pull through a choreography right all day and I had to stay later to practice.” He pouted and furrowed his eyebrows. You pouted too and rubbed his eyebrows away from each other.

“You know that if you abandoned Bangtan, even for one night, you’d regret it the next day. Don’t regret putting in hard work. ARMY loves the efforts you put in and I’m proud of you all the time. This is one night out of many we’re going to have, okay? Don’t be hard on yourself. I’m not.” You comforted him. He gave a half-hearted smile at your words. You felt like it wasn’t enough so you did aegyo.

“Don’t worry, oppa! I still love you!” You said in a cute voice. There was his rectangular smile. You gave him a kiss and figured that would be the end of it.

Later that week…

You finally got home and took off your shoes. Taehyung was going to be home in two hours. After a day and a half of him still blaming himself, you decided to try the night again.

There was a good chance that he might not be able to make it again, but that wouldn’t matter. This wasn’t for you anyway. This was for him and his mopey-dopey head. And this time, if he didn’t make it, you were going to make sure that you left absolutely no trace that you had this planned.

You had all the groceries in hand as you came into the kitchen and found a set table with candles lit and everything. This looked exactly as it did a couple nights ago when you did it! How did he even know?

You looked up to see a very handsome V, dressed nicely, and with drinks in his hand.

“Great minds think alike. Yours is just a little faster.” You raised your grocery bags up and smiled. He grinned too and put down the glasses. He came over to you and gave you a kiss while taking your grocery bags out of your hand.

“These can be saved for another day. Go change.” He said as he started to put away your groceries. You stood there for a bit to admire the man you had before listening to him to get changed.

You came out and saw him set down warm plates of food he’d been keeping heated in the oven. Since it was only a couple days ago that you guys had your food, he would make something else, with help from his brothers of course. God knows he was the least adept in cooking out of everyone.

“Y/N….you are absolutely stunning.” He stuttered. Is this what he missed a couple days ago?

“I didn’t have much time to freshen up though. I didn’t want the food to get cold.” You felt that you weren’t nearly as pretty as you were a couple days ago. But if you said that, he would blame himself again.

“What’s for dinner?” You took a step to look at your meal. He pulled out your chair for you and you sat down.

“This is a recommendation from head chef Jin. Accompanied by sous chef, Jungkook, kitchen assistants Suga and Jimin. With the lovely and wonderful kitchen supervisor, V. That’s me.” He pointed to himself and gave you his grin.

You laughed at his silliness. His definition of kitchen supervisor was a look-over-your-shoulder-because I’m-bored person who was also a food taster.

He sat down across from you and handed you a menu card next to the candle. You took it and looked through it, pretending to be a dignified food critic. You pursed your lips together with your hand rubbing your chin as you pretended to critique his menu.

“Mm…these food choices match up really well. I’m looking forward to the main course and your dessert. I hope it tastes as good as it sounds.” You looked over to him with a very pretentious look. He grinned at your playful behavior.

“Oh, only the best for my favorite customer.” He poured more juice into your glass. Even though you two were legal, one thing you both agreed on was that alcohol wasn’t your cup of tea.

“You have created a beautiful night and made it up by ten-fold.” You assured him as you raised your glass to him. He raised his to yours and clinked it, also giving his own animated “clink”-ing sound.

A Confidence Game~Character Profiles | BTS Mafia and Con Artist AU

Plot: Hoseok and Minsuk’s parents have died 11 years ago and they have been living as con artists for 8 years now. The moment Hoseok wants Minsuk to have a chance to start a new life, the Bangtan mafia approaches them to pull one last con.

(M) Warnings: angst, swearing, trigger warnings of character death, drug use, drug abuse, graphic violence (in future chapters. If any of these are triggers you don’t want to deal with, you might as well not read the beginning and get hooked to the story and deal with the frustration of whether or not you want to continue reading, k? )

Character Profiles:

The Bangtan Administration

Namjooon: Crime boss of the Bangtan mafia. He’s straightforward, focused, detailed-oriented, protective, flexible, and impatient. He can be indecisive but can make the quick decisions under pressure; still, he never cracks. Although he’s fine with a detailed plan, he prefers to give more freedom and flexibility for his members to thrive on their own to get the jobs done; it’s less planning anyway. He’s extremely detailed-oriented, so he makes sure he understand how each member likes to work and how they choose to complete their tasks. As long as he’s let in the plan, he’s normally okay with anything they do. At pressured situations, when his members need it most, he steps in with striking and aggressive power to complete the job. He will break down every aspect in order to find his opponent’s weakness and constantly and consistently crush it. He’s over protective and uses his aggression to show it. He feels insecure of his own position. Although it is not the case, he feels like more like a supervisor than a boss. Occasionally feels the need to exert unnecessary dominance and reinforce hierarchy, especially when it comes to his underboss. He’s drawn to the way con artists work because they are thorough but flexible.

Seokjin: Consigliere of the Bangtan mafia. One of the most contradicting people you’ll ever meet. Empathetic but detached. Idealist but practical. Cares for many, trusts a few. Unsympathetic to enemies and has little patience to the ignorant. He advises the planning phase. When the plans don’t look easy, but he likes the idea, he will mold it so it will become a very appealing opportunity. He occasionally acts as a mediator between the boss and underboss. He’s Namjoon’s most trusted confidante and his oldest friend. He’s very controlled with his emotions, but when he finally expresses any ill feelings, he doesn’t hold back and is recognized as the most sadistic. He’s paranoid of anyone to be deceitful. Only trusts Namjoon, Yoongi, and his wife, more than he’s comfortable to admit. In contradiction, he’s irked when people don’t trust him; has he ever given anyone a reason not to? He thinks the con artists are amusing because of the quirkiness in real life, but can completely switch into a different character for a con.

Yoongi: Underboss of the Bangtan mafia. He’s the perfect underboss and takes action. Precise, loyal, efficient, stubborn, hates change, results-oriented, calculative, meticulous, and logical. He always executes a clean job, which doesn’t leave much need for backup plans. He thinks he sees every option, and when he chooses what to do, he will not change his ideas. He’s easily annoyed. He’s confident in planning and tries to keep his head clear from any unnecessary thoughts. He’s a perfectionist so he’s always fearful that he hasn’t thought through everything yet and that could potentially lead to failure. Failing those who trust him is the greatest guilt he will ever come to know. He need to feel like he’s reliable to others and will go lengths to prove it. More often than not, con artists are far too fluid for his taste, but he can’t deny that they are quick-witted and effectively finishes a job.

The Bangtan Capos

Jimin: Retrieval specialist and head of gambling. Aside from handling the casino that Bangtan owns, every once in a while, there’s some idiot who doesn’t “remember” to pay up and Jimin is the man to find. Charming, charismatic, bold, decisive, quick-witted, and sincere. He’s a short term thinker who looks at all possibilities and chooses whichever will choose the best quality outcome. People normally mistake him as simple-minded, but he just knows what he wants and is quick to achieve his goals; he’s already considered everything that is probable for him and is quick to choose which ever best suits him. He can grasp emotion well and learn to spin off of that, making him an easygoing conversationalist. He makes people feel comfortable to speaking to him, even to the point of accidentally leading information, but thinks nothing of it because he is seemingly harmless. He’s great a manipulating the atmosphere and people’s emotions. He cares for a spotlight, so he’s great at making a scene and diverting people’s attention. Emotions are very easy for him to feel and express, so he is very aware that his sincerity makes him vulnerable to others. He feels the need to hold himself back on many occasions so people don’t get the wrong idea of him, or the right one…If anything, he is the con artist in the mafia, so he feels like the con artists are kindred spirits because of the nature of their work so he can understand their M.O. very well.

Taehyung: Blackmailer and head of drugs. He’s interested in drugs trafficking and his insight is alarming. He keeps all his acquired information to himself and knows exactly when to use it, making him an ideal blackmailer. He’s an energetic, calculative, manipulative, analyzing, chaotic opportunist. He feeds off of your insecurities and fears, making you spill your guts and take impulsive actions faster than a bullet. He doesn’t see the need to be physically sadistic, but he is psychotically sadistic. He’s easily bored and changes tactics often, making it difficult to follow his train of thought or see his vision. If someone can, they are an ally. He will consider that person to be respected and should not be underestimated and he is very fortunate. If not, he considers himself superior and that person is nothing. The moment he thinks anyone can catch on, he feels vulnerable. His tactics are convoluted and he often likes to test people to see where their reasoning skills lie on his scale. If they do catch on, he feels the need to keep you close and watch you carefully. He never wants anyone he doesn’t trust to have an upper hand on him. He’s intrigued by the con artists’ M.O. and is more than willing to assist so he can watch the cause-and-effect.

Jungkook: Protection racketeering and head of arms. No one likes to be head of defense more than this guy. Honest, loyal, direct, protective, responsible, reflective, and adaptable but uncomfortable with change. He only looks at the details, he only needs to handle those and the bigger ones can handle the bigger picture. He’s unforgiving to those who’ve done him and his friends wrong; he will only remember to hold a grudge for those people. He likes to stick to the plan, out of convenience and for other’s sake. He remembers every event and is very efficient. He’s cautious of his actions, a great executer, and most reliable, and also most vulnerable out of the three capos. He’s broken by guilt too easily. He’s contradicting in the sense that his family, Bangtan, is his number one priority and will go out of his way for them, but is strongly upset by ruined plans, especially if he’s the one who’s caused them. He feels the need to be protective of those around him and will eliminate all threats, even if it means to ruin the plan. He believes his greatest strength and weakness is caring for Bangtan before anything else. Initially annoyed by con artists because they’ve ruined the mafia’s plans a couple times.

The Con Artists

Hoseok: Charming and enthusiastic con artist. Specific skills include hacking, fighting, and grifting. Charismatic, cautious, organized, protective, and responsible. He’s very self-aware and aware of others. He’s a loving person in his personal life, and also very serious and precise in his work. Between Y/N and him, he is the planner. He wants to settle and get things done without making a mess, but sometimes the dirty work is inevitable. He plans well, far too many steps ahead of others. He knows that every plan has potential to slip up, so he tries to keep a cool head and stays flexible when things go down. He’s got the next plan in his back pocket and can quickly find another one to replace the backup. He has the most conscience out of everyone (which isn’t saying much), and puts family and love first without a care about what that implies to him. Anything else is just a luxury and an extra factor that he will force himself to make-do without if necessary. Unlike Jungkook, he sees it as his strength because family and love is where he draws his strength. He feels the need to take care of both with everything he’s got. He will not let anything happen to them. It makes him predictable in the sense that people know that he will take action for his family and loved ones, but he’s unpredictable in his methods. He’s very wary of the mafia and finds them untrustworthy until proven otherwise.

Jung Minsuk: Idealistic femme fatale con artist. Special skills includes grifting, thieving, and money laundering. Genuine, authentic, creative, imaginative, enthusiastic, perfectionist. Unlike Jimin who fears of his own sincerity to become his own downfall, she uses her true nature to gain trust from others. To everyone else, she’s gullible, genuine, and authentic, and that is the key for her to manipulate. Her desires and goals make her most devious in such a depth that no one can perceive. She easily identifies everyone’s intentions and fears. She uses that knowledge to break people and push them to make the choices she wants them to make. She tends to method act so she can be the most authentic when grifting; she never breaks character in the con because it is essentially her. Between her and Hoseok, she executes the con and enjoys it more than her brother. Unfortunately, all of this means she puts herself in danger and getting caught up. She’s most likely to fall for her own con. Very driven, so she’s stubborn to finishing a job, and flexible in finding using whatever ways to get to the end. She feels like she’s able to handle all self-sacrifices necessary to pull off the job. She is well aware that she puts herself in trouble, and while she doesn’t want to bother anyone with her own problems, she believes it’s the best way to reach for the outcomes and no one can convince her otherwise. Tries to be a perfectionist in execution, but like Hoseok, she recognizes that plans can fall out and tries her best not to blame herself for the smallest mistake that makes changes in plans, but she does. She sees potential everywhere and in everyone. She feels like people don’t trust her judgment enough so she feels the need to push the limits of everything and everyone because their potential is far more than they can perceive. She will force them to get there so they will know she was right from the very beginning. She doesn’t care about the mafia, although she’s very curious about the people in it and why they are in the position they are in.

First Year of Hogwarts | BTS Hogwarts AU

image

Namjoon and Seokjin became friends since day one. Study buddies, and table partners. Have had several disputes because they have different strategies on same topics, but things normally calmed down during meal times

Namjoon is first in all his classes and within Gryffindor itself, even for a first year.

Seokjin had mediated a few random disputes between Gryffindor first years a couple times. When Namjoon saw his friend was stepping in, he didn’t hesitate to back him up and give a little input himself.

Seokjin and Namjoon’s favorite past time was meal times and sitting by the fire in the Gryffindor common room

Taehyung immediately found Jimin on the very first morning. Already bridging gaps between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Table partners when Hufflepuff and Gryffindor have class together. Would’ve been good study partners too, if they studied at all.

image

Jungkook and Hoseok stuck pretty closely for most of the year. At first, Hoseok had to approach Jungkook proactively. Jungkook was pretty timid, but he eventually found Hoseok to be a good and lovable companion.

Jungkook will act rashly and protectively when anyone ever teases Hoseok

Hoseok tends to do things on a whim and constantly pulls Jungkook to join him

Jimin and Hoseok were the most sociable of the entire Hufflepuff house, so they easily found each other as kindred spirits

Jungkook always trailed behind Hoseok and Jimin, but the pair would grab Jungkook and have him stand in the middle.

As fun and active as Hoseok and Taehyung are, Jimin has moments where he likes to hang out with shy little Jungkook.

image

Yoongi spent his first year pretty quietly and secluded. Despite his ambitions to prove people wrong, being in the Slytherin environment might have made him even harder to approach.

He discovered the Room of Requirement and kept the information to himself. Constantly disappeared after meal times to be in there, away from the Slytherin commons.

Top marks in the Slytherin first years

Yoongi sees the two Hufflepuff acquaintances hanging out in the meal times and often contemplates on how to further their friendship.

Hoseok never forgot about Yoongi though. He can see that Yoongi is pretty closed off by the rest of the Slytherin table because Yoongi comes off pretty arrogant to the rest of the first years in that house.

Hoseok would make friendly converstations with him and be his table partner during the Hufflepuff/Slytherin classes. Of course, he would make sure that Jimin was with Jungkook first.

Flying lessons

image

Hoseok was actually pretty scared to be on brooms since he was a kid. His parents not around made him even more nervous, but he saw how easily Jungkook got a handle on it and he instantly wanted to join his friend in the air. With a friend, he felt more at ease being in the air and soon felt confident enough to soar independently.

Seokjin loved flying since he was a kid so it was pretty easy. He was one of the more excited first years

Namjoon never cared for being on a broom, but he was adequate on it, only because he felt like he needed to know. In the first lesson, his broom would not move at all; turns out Taehyung was charming it to do so. Namjoon saw past that and had Taehyung’s broom wack himself in the face.

Taehyung held a grudge until one day he blew up his frustration to Jimin about it. Jimin pointed out Taehyung was first at fault, causing the boy to reevaluate himself. He apologized to Namjoon later that day. Namjoon also apologized for his own actions and invited him to eat with him and Seokjin for dinner.

Jimin was nervous because it was his first time on the broom, but when he finally kicked off in the air, after a few close calls, he took to it very well and would not come down when Madam Hooch told him flying class was over.

Yoongi did everything fast. He had the broom in his hand before Madam Hooch gave orders to everyone to say “up!” He got on the broom faster than the other first years and kicked off the moment he heard the whistle.

A/N: Previously, I had the Quidditch portion in their first year, until I realized that first years aren’t allowed to participate in Quidditch. Harry Potter is just annoyingly special like that. So I moved it to year two. I’m just being a perfectionist and as authentic as possible, sorry!

Sorting Park Jimin | BTS Scenario ~ Hogwarts AU

It’s a constant struggle for many students between these two houses, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor; similar to the Hufflepuff-like Gryffindor boy. But he since he was much less self-aware, it required the hat to dig more.

This muggleborn was pure for sure. There is such a shy willingness in him with fierce determination to be chivalrous and he was daring enough to prove himself. His kindness was very obvious at the first look.

The Sorting Hat could see the memories he’s had with that erratic Slytherin-like Gryffindor first year and some other first years on the Hogwarts express. He and that boy had such a great chemistry, reminding the hat of two infamous mischievous ginger-haired twins of so many years ago.

But the hat could see the desire Jimin had to be with his new friend in Gryffindor, proving his Hufflepuff loyalty. But his daring determination would only get him so far, lag far behind Taehyung’s. His heart was where he needed to be.

There are one of two outcomes. Jimin could use his kind behavior to lower Taehyung’s energy, or Taehyung could bring out the daring side of Jimin and could cause a lot of mischief around school.

Either way, the bond would have to be formed by different houses.

Sorting Min Yoongi | BTS Scenario ~ Hogwarts AU

He had come from a long line of death eaters; all those who knew of wizarding world history could spot his ancestor’s sins from a mile away.

He had a thirst for knowledge and a good base at that, a heavily suppressed kind heart, and a determined nature to defy the odds to everyone and prove everyone that not every Slytherin line is bad.

If he were to prove to everyone that his family is not the family it once was, the chains of his ancestors would be broken. Being in Ravenclaw would be the first step to breaking that chain, to prove that Slytherin descendants could choose their own fate. It was ambitious, but that was what he was; Slytherin for sure.

He was so sure that his Ravenclaw intelligence would prove his purposes though.

“Are you sure? Ravenclaw house will not help you on your goal.” The Sorting Hat spoke out loud, telling him his plan will not work.

“You’re better off defying the odds in a different way, my child.” Yoongi looked confused and inwardly asked the hat why. Already, the boy started to waver on his original plan to stay in Ravenclaw. Wavering doubt was something he was not used to.

This boy has grown up knowing only Slytherin. His hair was surprisingly green for goodness sake! All the kids who knew the housing system had already pegged him as a Slytherin by his hair and his hard stare, and he wanted to prove to them that he wasn’t. But the professors and Sorting Hat could tell by experience that his stare was hard but wasn’t cold. There was more than that to this boy, the Sorting Hat knew.

Though his Ravenclaw intelligence was there, he lacked the wisdom to discern what was best for him. He had been the kind heart of a Hufflepuff but he constantly avoided it since he got his acceptance letter. If only he learned to use it.

Yoongi thought it would be good to change Slytherin ideals from the outside but the hat already knew it wasn’t truly where the boy wanted to be. The Sorting Hat chuckled, the boy’s journey would be much more adventurous and fun for him if he didn’t give away too much.

“I see your ambition is far greater than anything else in that mind of yours. You will excel with this drive and goal.”

Yoongi was almost worried as to why he felt such a relief when the hat announced Slytherin. He looked back at the Hat who gave him a wink as he stepped down the stage. He looked over at the Ravenclaw table and then at the Slytherin table. That’s right, Ravenclaws can’t keep up.
