The request

Summary line: It’s Taehyung’s instinct that you will be a very important person in his life.

Last chapter

Over time, you catch yourself being more relaxed with Taehyung more than anything. Your guard is down because you trust him enough now. What do you trust him with? That part of you that is actually a lot like him.

You can’t tell whether it’s always been there and he’s just bringing it out of you, or it’s because he influences you enough that you start to seem more like him.

What’s similar? There’s a spark of creativity and spontaneity.

“Hurry up, Y/N, This is Yoongi’s patrolling corridor. He’s a fast walker.” Taehyung hisses at you behind him. You huff as you reach to his back, leaning forward with him to check the coast is clear. Your cheek is just brushing his cloak. He swiftly moves back, which makes you press your cheek against his shoulder as he pushes you behind him. You grumble as you rub your cheek, “Watch it.”

“Sorry.”

You both check again for the coast is clear and speed walk down the hall. You two are almost at the end of the hall and you hear sounds again. This time, it’s footsteps.

You take Taehyung’s hands and have him hold on you as you point your wand up and do a silent spell, lifting the both of you up and land on a flat surface above the arch. It’s not necessarily meant to hold up two student’s weight, so you keep yourself slightly afloat, with the surface just to be your safeguard.

Yoongi is below you guys, passing by the corridor as swiftly as you both have anticipated. As he passes, the both of you don’t hesitate to lean forward and basically let your bodies swing upside down like bats to peer down through the arch to see it’s empty.

The both of you guys look at each other and grin, giggling at both of your hair stick out.

You two finally reach the Black Lake. Taehyung pulls out his thermos and rolls up his pants to walk into the Black, Lake. When he’s far enough, he dips the thermos down to get some water, as well as search blindly underwater for the squishy soil.

“Hurry up.” You put your hand down and swipe water at him. He looks at you with an incredulous look and you couldn’t help but giggle.

He takes his hand and swoops even more water at you but you easily form a quick shield to deflect the droplets.

“You’re awfully giddy tonight, aren’t you?” Taehyung asks as he closes the thermos and makes his way back to land. You have a brush of pine in your hand that you picked up and you brush his face the moment he reaches to you.

“Yeah, I don’t know. Maybe it’s the sneaking out. It’s exciting.”

“Right?! I’ve only ever gotten caught like twice, once by Yoongi, the other time by Namjoon. I make sure that I won’t get caught by Hoseok. Hoseok swears he will have me wear my underwear on my head as I make it back to the dorm. He’s done that to other students out of bed before.”

“I’ll make sure I stay out of his way too.” You shiver at the thought.

“Oh, he probably wouldn’t do that to you, but, yeah, still stay out of his way.”

You two make your way to the Whomping Willow and he immobilizes the tree so you can both enter in the secret passage to the Shrieking Shack.

When you two arrive, he sits down in the middle of the bedroom floor and you go grab the items you two have stored here previously for safe keeping.

This is kind of your experiment lab. Things that Taehyung wants to do, and you figure that there is merit to his theory and you’re willing to try and test it out with him.

This experiment is to see if you can create a map of the Black Lake without even fully exploring it on first perspective.

You’ve collected slivers and little chunks of flesh from all the types of creatures that lived in the Black Lake. Of course, these parts have come from previously collected inventories. The both of you agreed that this is supposed to be an exploratory experiment, and neither of you would harm another living creature to obtain your goals for this.

You two have also collected other materials that you wanted to test out your speculation of what else could be down there. Taehyung couldn’t let go of the possibilities of the mermaid’s treasure, so he includes gold in the inventory. You also want to track if there were any unknown creatures in the depths of the lake, so it took you a while to figure out a spell to do so.

Within a rectangular boundary on the floor, Taehyung dumps the wet soil from the shallows of the Black Lake in the center, and pours the lake water out of the thermos and keeps it afloat above the imminent map. You take out your inventory of creature parts, gold, and other items that you two were curious if they were in the Black Lake. You set them aside next to the map boundaries.

By the wave of your wand and a mumbled spell, the soil disperses itself from the mound and spreads itself all over the floor, settling in places, some spots with more soil than others to demonstrate the depth or shallowness of the lake. Some items on the side start to roll its way into the boundaries of the map and settle in certain areas. Stationary items were such as gold, herbs and other potion-making ingredients that can be found in water stay in one area, while creature parts such as mermaid scales, the giant squid ink, and grindylows tentacles would be moving in all sorts of places, demonstrating live-tracking of the creatures. Lastly, the water slowly drops down to the map and fills up the rest of the map.

“Yes!” Taehyung jumps up and cheers around the room, “I told you Salazar has treasure in there.”

“This is just gold. We now know there’s gold in the Black Lake. We don’t know if it’s Salazar’s treasure though.” You remind him. He quickly sits off to the side of the room and leans back on the wall, still with a giddy smile, shaped rectangular like the map.

“You’re right.” He grins anyway. He’s just happy there is something down there to explore.

You get up and walk over to slide down next to him. You rest your head on his shoulder and he rests his head on yours. You two just stare at your animated map on the floor.

Taehyung whips out his wand and charms the map to retain its shape forever and brings it over to him so he can actually hold it in his hands like a map.

“This is really cool.” He looks at the floating pieces of grindylow and mermaids quite close together while the giant squid is floating elsewhere on the map. The treasure is at a far corner of the map, but there are many mermaid scales still floating nearby.

“So when can we go explore the real thing?”

You sigh. You look over to the inactive creature parts that are still resting on the floor, indicating that there are no such creatures in the Black Lake. From what you can tell, creature-wise, the biggest threats are the guards of the treasure. The Black Lake doesn’t indicate any sentient vegetation that defends the lake either.

“When do you want to go? After this month.”

“Why? Are you…uh, in your monthly thing?” You gasp and move your head away to hit him on the shoulder, “No. And that’s none of your business. I just don’t want to go right now.” You rest your head on his shoulder again. He shrugs with his other shoulder. He knows that you are not nearly as active as he is. He takes you out in small doses at a time. And he won’t take anyone else because he always says this is something only for you two.

He feels your head starting to feel heavy, indicating your relaxed or exhausted. He puts his hand in his pocket to take out a little can of strawberries.

“Want one?” He takes a strawberry and brings it to your lips, and you open your mouth for him to feed you.

“No more. I want to go back and sleep.” He hums in agreement and snacks on the remaining strawberries before putting the can back. He nudges you to move your head off his shoulder and gets up to help you up.

“Carry me!” You make grabby hands up at him with your eyes still closed. He stares at you a bit before sighing.

He takes the map and temporarily condenses the 3D map into paper form. He rolls it up to put in his pocket. He turns around for you to jump on his back and he piggy backs you out of the Shrieking Shack.

“Why do you always smell like Kneazle’s fur?” He asks all of the sudden.

“I own one at home. I didn’t bring him because I chose my owl.”

“What?! How come you never told me? Can I come over during the summer and see him?”

“I guess.”

He groans from your weight, “If you weren’t so cute when you’re tired, I wouldn’t carry you.”

“Shut up,” You tiredly smack him on the shoulder, “If you don’t carry me, I’ll never let you near my Kneazle.”

“In that case, I’ll never let you down.”

You flick him on his head and he lets out a sound of protest, but that’s about it. Despite all the harmless banter, you couldn’t help feel that blush rise up to your cheeks. You nuzzle your cheek closer on his back as you hold tighter to him. He takes that as you making sure you didn’t fall, but there was a truth you can no longer deny.

You never acted like this with anyone: silly, playful, or cuddly in any sense of the word. You knew that Taehyung is the only one who could make you feel this way. To make you feel love.

But at the same time, you know it’s as you say “harmless banter”. He doesn’t like you like this. You can only hope that he won’t feel your silent tear moisten his robes.

“Let’s see…one frozen Ashwinder egg, turns creamy yellow. Three chopped rose thorns or more until potion turns dark purple. Four teaspoons of moonstone powder, stir until shimmery green. Seven ounces of pearl dust. Five pinches of peppermint and let it simmer until shimmery light blue. Add crushed two daisies and eight lovage together. And finally, titrate honeywater until steam is spiraling and the potion is has mother-of-pearl sheen.” Taehyung mumbles to himself as the potions class is creating the Amortentia potion individually.

This potions class is Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, so you’re not in the same class. Which sucks, because he wouldn’t have to read the potions book. All he has to do is watch you.

Nevertheless, Taehyung dutifully works on his potion in silence. Being the less-than-over-achiever, higher-than-underachiever, that he is, he’s one of the students who finishes a little before half of the students. Now that the Amortentia is finished, he looks around the room and looks at the other students who’ve finished.

All those who are finished, including his friends, Seokjin, Namjoon, and Hoseok, they are all peacefully resting their head in their hands as they loom over their Amortentia potion, smelling it like it’s a drug.

Taehyung shrugs and pulls up his own stool to loom over his own. Since he’s got time to day dream, why not do it with a nice scent.

When he finally pays attention to a whiff of his potion, he finally notices the smell all throughout the room. He smells strawberries, Kneazles fur, and fresh pine.

He snaps his head up. Luckily for him, no one else in the room is paying attention to his straightened posture.

He gets it.

At first, he thought it was simply because you two ate strawberries and you brushed his face with the pine branch last night. You smelled like Kneazles fur, but it was not quite all that you were. He thought last night’s smell was just a coincidence of events as he rested his head on yours and piggy-backed you back to the Slytherin common room.

This is exactly the same mix of scents that he smelled on your hair last night and the first moment he’s bumped into you.

A Dangerous Duo

Imagine pocket-sized you eyeing Taehyung and Namjoon suspiciously as they move back and forth in the kitchen, looking for food. It is truly the most dangerous combination of the boys to be in the kitchen. No one else is home and you feel like it is your duty to watch over Seokjin’s kitchen. You are constantly peeking over Namjoon’s shoulder, quite literally as you are sitting there. You promised not to constantly nag them like Seokjin unless it is an emergency; all they wanted is to find a quick snack. But despite not letting a peep out of you, you can’t help but shake your head at their every new discovery in the kitchen.

Namjoon doesn’t know what the whisk is for; Taehyung doesn’t know where the sugar was. You really feel sorry for how pitiful they are for being so lost in the kitchen. But as strongly responsible you feel to watch over the kitchen, you are also strongly responsible to your own bladder.

All it takes is one short bathroom break around the corner. You should have told them to not move a muscle as you left the premises, but that would have been “overreacting”, as they would call it. You hear banging, yelling, crashing, and breaking. You can’t get out fast enough. When you come to the kitchen, you slipped and fell. It would have been fun if it wasn’t for the fact that you slid from the entrance of the kitchen all the way into under the nasty refrigerator, greeting and sneezing at the dust bunnies that are the same size as you.

Namjoon accidentally knocked the pot of water off the stove and water was all over the floor; luckily the water didn’t start boiling just yet but Taehyung put in too much oil in the water (for reasons unknown to you), making the floor extra slippery. Taehyung made a mess of mixing the wrong ingredients together; for the life of you, you can’t understand how he thought mustard and chili was a good dip combination for pickles. Namjoon ripped the bag of sugar and flour. Weren’t they just here for a snack?

When Seokjin came home in the midst of the cleaning, he yelled at all three of you. For the next three weeks, Namjoon and Taehyung are banned from stepping into the kitchen even for water. The only good Namjoon and Taehyung got out of this was exploring the kitchen and finding their favorite snack. The two of them agreed that it was totally worth it.

All You Have to Do Is Ask

TRIGGER WARNING: If you have arachnophobia, read at your own risk.

Imagine pocket-sized you coaching Jimin through whispers in his ears as you sit in the dip of his left collarbone. You’ve started a little hobby of yours while the boys are away by exercising your green thumb. You are so excited to finally see flowers growing, you scream for the attention of the only two boys currently in the dorm. You invite two of the maknae line to visit your little garden patch you’ve created in the corner of their dorm that gets the most sunlight.

Your garden looks beautiful and there’s a beautiful sunset with a hint of rain clouds beginning to loom over. You figure it’s the perfect opportunity for Jimin. Jimin licks his lips in anticipation and slowly stretches his hand over to hold Jungkook’s hand when you two hear a yelp come from Jungkook. You both look down to see what he’s looking at and you see a rather large spider slowly crawling from the corner of your little garden. Jimin flinches in surprise and Jungkook grabs Jimin’s hand to pull him back from your garden over to the other side of the room.

You look down to see Jungkook still holding Jimin’s hand and you smile. Jimin also notices the physical contact being longer than necessary He smugly says that if Jungkook wanted to hold his hand, all he has to do is ask. At this, you roll your eyes and smack Jimin in the ear, calling him out that he was the one who was nervous.

I imagine Namjoon as the kind of boyfriend that stays on the phone with you until you’re safe, in home, door locked, lights on.

I Ship It (Namjoon ft. Hoseok)

 Summary line: Different members of BTS are subtly matchmaking other members to you

“No, I don’t have time for this, Hoseok!” Namjoon tried to pull away from Hoseok, but Hoseok put his whole weight in this to keep Namjoon from going off to the studio.

“Please! Look, if you come, I won’t make you come to Hope on the Street.” Hoseok bribed.

“I wasn’t even planning on going.” Namjoon mumbled as he looked longingly at the door of his studio that was down the hall. Hoseok gasped, “But ARMY would be so disappointed!”

“They’d be more disappointed if I did show up!” Namjoon argued.

“Not at all! They’d be so happy to see you, I promise!” Hoseok said, being the hopeful and sweet guy that he was. As Namjoon had said before, Hoseok is his opposite.

“Alright, alright, I lied. I’m still going to make you come to Hope on the Street. But it was announced so long ago that I would make you my next guest! I’m still deciding if I’m going to get Seokjin or Yoongi next after.”

Namjoon just shook his head as well as Hoseok off his arm.

“Fine…If you’re not going to come to the dance academy with me, then at least come out to grab a cup of coffee before I’m off. You’ve been at the studio overnight and 5 hours after, you need at least a short break. 30 minutes outside, grab a cup of coffee, and then we’re off on our separate ways.”

If there was one thing that Namjoon did enjoy spending his free time, was spending it outside. Despite being surrounded in the city, he never missed his chance to appreciate the bright blue sky and warm sun, how the buildings were created by man’s hands and creativity, the sounds of life all around him, and the smell of wonderfully brewed coffee, the cool air conditioned café, and the aesthetics the coffee shop owners put up to make the place relaxing and welcoming.

“You’re paying for my coffee.” Namjoon said as he stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked around.

“Okay!” Hoseok smiled. Even if Namjoon wouldn’t come out to visit his dance academy with him, he at least was able to help his friend get out, that was enough for him.

“Hey, Hoseok. One expresso macchiato coming up!”

“Actually, add one café Americano for my friend Namjoon here, please.” Hoseok smiled at you. You looked beyond him and saw Namjoon.

“Rap Monster! It’s a great pleasure to meet you! Allow me to pay for your coffee.” You exclaimed, but kept your voice a little low so others wouldn’t recognize the stars. Seeing all those cameras out though, it’s obvious they’ve been spotted. But if they noticed how you get to interact with them, it might cause a couple issues.

“Thank you so much.” Namjoon bowed with a polite dimpled smile.

“Y/N, why don’t you pay for my coffee too?” Hoseok teased. You smiled and looked down a little flustered, “I paid for your coffee when I first met you too. This is the first time I get to meet Rap Monster. You can’t expect me to pay for your coffee every time, do you?”

“Aww, it’s only because it’s Namjoon, isn’t it? Namjoon, Y/N happens to be your specific fan.” Hoseok nudged.

“Oh, thank you! I’m honored.” Namjoon looked at you. Beautiful, have a sweet voice, and his fan. Your beauty is an aesthetic to the coffee shop itself.

“Y/N, do you visit the dance academy?” Hoseok asked you. Namjoon perked his ears up; you went to the dance academy too? That’s how Hoseok knew you?

“I visit every other month if I’m not busy. Ms. Kim is still my favorite teacher; she was the nicest to me.”

“The others were pretty hard on you; you weren’t always the best.” Hoseok teased. You stuck out your tongue, “I did just fine; you’re just judging me by your golden standard.”

“Haha, you know I’m just joking with you; you always showed the best effort, I was very proud with our final performance we did together. You did so well! And of course all your teachers still love you, who else would visit them every other month? I hope you never gave up dancing.”

“I still like dancing. I’m looking into some dance classes available in Seoul. Don’t be fooled by my frequent visits, college is pretty hectic. Sometimes when I visit, I’m only there for a really short period; I don’t always see all our teachers.”

“What do you study?” Namjoon asked.

“I want to be an English teacher, so I’m majoring in English Education.”

“Wow, English is tough to language to learn.”

“I actually lived my childhood overseas, so I know English pretty fluently. The nutty part is that Korean is my third language, but now it’s my primary language.” You laughed.

“Third? So what is your second language?” He asked with wide eyes.

“I learned Spanish.”

“That’s very cool. I wish I had more time to study Spanish.”

“How about this, every time you come during my shift, I’ll give you a phrase in Spanish written on the cup for you to answer me next time in Spanish?” You suggested.

“Sounds like a great idea, thanks! If this is your teaching method, I think you’ll be a great teacher.” Namjoon smiled at you.

“And for you, I’ll give you Spanish and English, because you need to work on both.” You teased Hoseok but he held his hands up in the air with his cash, “Oh no, I’m not ready for language lessons when I’m just here for caffeine energy. You keep your little linguistics flirting between the two of you.” You blushed and accepted Hoseok’s money.

You glanced up really quick to see Hoseok grin a little too sly for your taste.

Walking out of the coffee shop, Namjoon looked back through the glass wall to see you attend to another customer with a sweet smile. Hoseok nudged Namjoon’s shoulder to get his attention again.

Namjoon looked back to see Hoseok’s silly grin.

“This is why you wanted me to go out today, isn’t it?”

Hoseok just shrugged, but his smile couldn’t contain.

“You can come here on your own now. Their coffee is great, their servers are great, but I’m not coming on Y/N’s shift again if she’s going to try to put Spanish and English on my coffee.” Hoseok looked at the side of his cup. Despite not having different languages on his cup, you still wrote “fool” as his name.

“So what did she write on your cup?” Namjoon looked at his cup to see one Spanish question and then took a sip, “I don’t know, my Spanish needs work too.” Namjoon walked ahead with a small smile.

“Liar.” Hoseok said before turning away to go off to his dance academy.

William So has a wonderful voice. I believe this song is about vowing to be by the girl’s side forever.
