First Impressions | Namjoon
Summary line: What is the first encounter/interaction with BTS? What were you doing that made them so interested to interact with you?
Namjoon walked up to the entrance of the college campus. Life has been great, his dreams have been achieved and he’s still moving forward in them. But what was college like? He sees his friends in college and he knows it’s a once in a lifetime experience, just like the road he was currently on. He felt like he couldn’t have a full experience of one or the other so it’s just as well that he chose the harder road less taken. But what was it like?
He wants to continue on his walk as he ponders for the rest of the day about college life experience, but he looks up and sees you. You just locked your car and is walking forward, making sure you had everything you needed for the day, your books, bag, wallet, keys, phone, etc. Of course, the first thing he noticed is your red converse…but are they high tops? He could tell that they were red converse, but you put on flared jeans this morning so they were kind of hidden. He made an inward frown, thinking that you should flaunt the converse highs if you got them.
He looked back up to you and saw you staring at the sky. He looked as well to see what you were seeing. It was bright but clouds covered the whole sky. He could see the outline of the sun a little to the left.
“Just like life, I guess.” You said quietly to yourself. He whipped his head back down to you, what voice was that?!
“Excuse me.” He stopped you before you entered the school, almost passing by him. Your face revealed shock but only mildly. You were actually a lot more surprised that he stopped you rather than who he was. Was it because of your shoes? You instinctively looked down; he couldn’t see that they were converse highs, only that they were red.
“How can I help you?” You asked politely. You were a huge ARMY fan, but his face didn’t look like he wanted to be treated like a celebrity right now.
“What did you mean just now?” He asked, referring to your comment to yourself. You guessed he heard it. Were you that loud?
You looked back up to gesture the sky, “That’s my life right now. I see every outline of every cloud. Everything is mapped out very well and I like the weather right now. But I love blue skies even more, and to see the sun so bright, I can’t look at it as long as I can right now. I just don’t know what wind can push away the clouds so I can see the sun and blue skies again.”
He slowly looked back down to you, he hasn’t heard anything as profound or abstract from anyone else but himself lately. The bell tower rang which snapped you both out of looking at each other.
“What’s your major?”
“Majoring in business, minoring in philosophy.” He raised an eyebrow, “Funny, you don’t look like you’re fit for business. The philosophy major, I can see.” He saw your polite smile slowly turned down and your stare turning blank, thinking about something.
“Maybe that’s my cloud. But I haven’t figured anything out. Don’t really find time to think about it.” You removed the blank stare from your face and looked back at him.
“You don’t listen to my music, do you?” Namjoon had a sad smile on his face.
“Oh, no, don’t get me wrong! I do. I love it. And, actually…I’m ARMY. I just haven’t been brave enough to put your words into my action. Just thinking about it does me no good, you know?” You were slightly embarrassed. You know so many people who’ve been motivated to find their dream because of their songs. As much as you wanted to be one of them, you lacked the support to become one.
“Honestly, it scares me to no end to think that I have no dream right now. I’m in my second year of college. When I graduate, it’s hard to turn back. I don’t to be ‘better late than never’, or even worse, never.”
“So start now.” His words startled you. You were at a crossroad in your life now. Either go and find out, or go to class…
“Let’s go.” You turned your back from the college grounds, ready to walk out but he pulled you back, laughing. You were afraid, wasn’t this what he meant? Is he going to go back on the words you heard every day in your music playlist?
“I actually have a request.” He looked almost sheepishly and let go of your elbow the moment you turned your head back to him. You held your breath, what could it be?
“Can you give me a tour of the campus?” You raised your eyebrows and your lips curved upward, “Sure.”
“I’ll hold your things for you.” He took your bag and swung it over his shoulder. Bad move. You didn’t zip up your backpack all the way and everything fell out. You quickly covered your mouth with your hand, laughing so hard, you started to bend over. Namjoon just stood there, looking at your things and back at you.
“I’m so sorry. I don’t mean to laugh at you. The zipper was already half open, so it wasn’t your fault at all! Really! Don’t be upset.” You said after your giggles subsided. You got down picking up all the stuff to put it back into your backpack. He started collecting your stuff too, but quietly.
“So the rumors are true. The god of destruction walks among us.” You teased. He didn’t give any reply and you got very scared.
“I’m very sorry. Please don’t feel embarrassed or upset with me.” You looked up to him, a little nervous. He stopped, smiled, and looked at you, “I could never be mad at ARMY. I’m not upset with you as much as I am with myself. I made all your stuff fall.”
“I told you, it was the backpack itself. I kind of wear things out quickly. It’s not your fault. Don’t put this on yourself, okay? It hurts us ARMY when you boys are so hard on yourselves, especially when you think it’s for us. We’d rather you see you guys happy and healthy over anything. Okay?” You said seriously to him. He looked at you and grinned, “Okay.” You guys finished collecting everything and walked back to the campus.
“You remind me.” He stopped and you stopped with him. He put on sunglasses, face mask, and his hood.
“You know, you are even more suspiciously like a celebrity like that.” You looked around, there were still people around, some had already begun to take pictures and videos.
“So what do you think I should do?” Namjoon asked. You frowned and let out a huge breath.
“Maybe just without the sunglasses, but you can keep the hood and mask. You know, people made jokes saying that sunglasses were permanently on your face. Now with the reversal, you’ll trick them.” You teased. He smiled at you and you both continued to walk.
“By the way, what’s your name?” He asked as you guys walked to the heart of the campus…

Summary line: What is the first encounter/interaction with BTS? What were you doing that made them so interested to interact with you?
“Girls, congratulations! Finals are over!” You and your friends all cheered and clinked your drinks before taking a sip. You all put down your glasses and everyone started to chow down on the appetizers. You, of course, multitask between eating and cooking the Korean bbq.
“(Y/N), (Y/N)! That’s BTS! They’re here!” One of your friends excitedly kicked you under the table.
“Ow!” You cried, glaring at your friend and rubbed your shin. She excitedly gestured to your left and you looked over as well. Sure enough, the boys dared to come out in public to eat together. It seemed like such a rare moment so you didn’t want to disturb them, unlike all the other ARMYs in the restaurant.
Many of them are already getting out their notebooks for a signature and all other invasive things. You frowned. It was uncommon for them to eat out like this without any schedule, no Big Hit staff around, no camera crew. It wasn’t fair for them to be bombarded like this, no matter how much the boys wanted to be nice to their fans. Time off was time off; you out of all people wanted to respect that.
“Excuse me.” You walked to the kitchen to find your mother. She was there, with your father, preparing dishes while making sweet little jokes at each other. They were the shining example of your relationship goals.
“Mother, I need you to do something for me…”
“Excuse me everyone! I realize that this is a very exciting moment for all of you, but this is my restaurant. I do not want to see any more harassment to anyone here or else you will be kicked out. Don’t you dare tell your friend’s who’s here. Everyone please go back to your tables and eat. Do not disturb each other and don’t loiter at your table, I still have a business to run. Thank you!” Your mother announced as you slipped quietly behind her, you lowered all the blinds of the restaurant so outsiders couldn’t see in and returned to your table.
Some of your friends had joined the crazy frenzy since you weren’t there to hold them down. You smacked all your friends lightly upside the head when they got back and they sheepishly grinned at you. You shook your head and gave a light smile. You looked around. The restaurant was full of girls at this point but they started to file away.
You glanced at the boys who were thanking your mom. Your mom was talking to them and then gestured at you. They all looked at you and you quickly looked back at your grill, currently passing out the food to your friends. You felt your cheeks and the back of your neck getting hot but you knew it wasn’t from all the grilling. Most of the boys turned back to their food but you still felt a stare and you wouldn’t dare try to find out who it was at this point.
“Jin’s staring at you.” Your friend said loudly across the table to you. Thanks, that’s exactly what you needed. Your bias staring at you? And more surprisingly, there’s food in front of him, and he’s staring at you?! You looked up to your friend, and tried to peripherally look at the boys. Seokjin had already turned back to his table’s own grill. You looked back at your own grill and let out a breath.
Over time, people started to file out, of course the girls did their best to stay but you asked your mom to keep pushing for people to finish their food, pay, and leave. This was normal in this restaurant so it wouldn’t hurt the restaurant by doing so. This time was just a little more rushed than usual.
Being your friends, they had an excuse and stayed as long as possible. You didn’t mind them though, you were biased that way. Besides, without them, you would feel very awkward as the daughter of the restaurant. You could be busy and clean the tables and stuff, but as long as the boys were here, you felt like you couldn’t be as natural as you wanted to be.
It was time of closing. Girls finally gave up since they were restricted from using their phones and couldn’t approach the boys. Now, it was just your friends and the boys. Somehow, they just kept ordering and ordering. You looked at their table and calculated the bill in your head. Sweet Lord Jesus, have mercy on their bill.
You got up from your seat again and went to the back of the counter. You double checked their order, sure enough, it was what you calculated. You shook your head and let out a small laugh. You took the bill and went to the back to see your mom giving your dad a back massage.
“Mother, father. Did you see how much they ordered? Did you see that they cleaned off every single plate?! How do they do that?!” And maintain their figure, nonetheless!
Your father shrugged, “Boys can eat! What do you expect?! It’s not like you eat very little. It’s lucky for us we raised you in a restaurant where we have large stock of food and you learn to cook for yourself.” You pouted at your father’s poke at your appetite, but you knew he was always happy to see you finish your bowl.
You took in a large breath and headed out. You walked up to the boys table and they all stopped what they were doing at looked at you. Your friends looked up as well. They were done and just scattered all over the restaurant like they owned the place as well.
“How are you paying this bill?” You put the bill on the table with a worried look. Jungkook saw the total and did a small water spit take over his plate. You almost laughed but you were even more worried for their wallet at that point.
“Seokjin was the one who told us to come here!” Namjoon pointed out.
“So I’ll pay, no big deal. How much does it cost?” Seokjin picked up the bill.
“It’s the amount of nope!” You cried. You saw his eyes widen and looked back up to you with a sheepish smile. You couldn’t help but let out a small laugh under your breath.
“I can give you a discount, but it won’t help much.” You shrugged.
“Oh, give them a break! They need food! And you love them!” One of your friends cried from the nearby booth. The boys looked back at you and some even raised an eyebrow with a small smile. You made a small head turn to your friend and pursed your lips, “Thanks for that.” You turned back to them.
“I do love you guys. But this is my home. I can’t do this because you are celebrities or I’m biased, I’ve done enough biased things for you guys tonight. Even when GD came here, I didn’t let him off the hook; I gave him a discount though, which is the last thing I’ll offer you guys too.” Jungkook stood up in excitement, “GD was here?!” You smiled, he was such a cute kid. You put your hands on your hips and gave him such a mother-like attitude, “Yeah, at this exact table actually.” Jungkook looked down at the table and grinned and slowly sat back down.
“We will respect that you are firm with your restaurant.” Jin smiled at you and took out his card. He gave it to you and you walked back to the cashier, charging his card with the discount you offered. You looked down at his card as the receipt was printing. You were holding your bias’ card, how many people can say they were given that chance?
You returned the card to Jin and went to your table to start cleaning up the dishes. Your friends were still scattered around.
“I can’t believe you are all still so lazy, even in front of these boys.” You said outloud to your friends. They all bolt up and came straight to the table to start cleaning up. You started laughing so hard, you sat down on your seat as your friends brought all the dirty dishes to the kitchen.
“And that’s how you get others to finally start cleaning.” You looked at the boys and lastly at Jin. He grinned, knowing that you were talking to him. The boys finally left and so did your friends. You were doing the accounting of the day and by Jin’s last receipt, you noticed he’s written a note for you.
Thank you so much for helping us to enjoy our meal in peace and giving a discount. I appreciated you being firm but you were very gentle towards us. The food was great, although pricey, the quality is worth it. I will be back. Next time, I would like to grill you some meat as a thank you. Also, I saw you grill some meat for your friends, I repeated your recipe, it tasted great! Well done!

First Impressions | Yoongi
Summary line: What is the first encounter/interaction with BTS? What were you doing that made them so interested to interact with you?
On the very rare days Yoongi is alone for once, he decides he’s willing to spend the day out; a quiet cleansing, if you will. He walks down and passes by a music store. It looks kind of old, but in a very classic sort of way so he decides to go in and check it out. It’s quiet but there’s a few people here. He slowly walks up and down the aisles, looking at the different artists and composers and makes a note of the ones he knows. Surprisingly, some of these are very recent. He even found BTS albums which made him smile to see only one left on the shelf while the other albums are obviously sold out.
He comes to the last aisle a little slower than most, pausing in between aisles to look at an album showcase. He glances to the next aisle on his right and then does a second take.
You and your friend, or mostly you really, are looking at an album. Your friend is behind you just glancing everywhere, passing time until you are done. However, you don’t care. He noticed that you had your headphones on, listening to your own music while picking out stuff. Your thin arms could only hold so much but you were a determined little thing.
You paused your music and lowered your headphones to rest on your neck, something he found super attractive for some reason. He almost laughed out loud when he saw you put on another pair of headphones by the store to listen to the tracks from the album you were looking at.
“I’ll be next door, getting some ice cream.” Your friend finally said to you, while texting on her phone. She didn’t notice that you couldn’t hear her. You and your friend’s conversation methods seemed a little skewed to him. That’s not how conversations should be. She turned away and walked out of the store, leaving you slowly waving your head left and right to the music.
He let a small sweet smile curve on his face as he quietly walked down your aisle, slowing down just to see what you were looking at.
“(Y/F/N), listen to this one. I –“ You turned around to grab your friend but grabbed Yoongi’s jacket instead. You widened your eyes and backed into the aisle, making a few albums fall. You both looked left and right to see if anyone came over. No one.
“I am so sorry.” You looked down and put down your albums to pick up the ones that were fallen. The store’s headphones were still on you and when you lowered yourself, the headphones came off. He quickly grabbed the headphones to prevent them from hitting the shelves and picked up a fallen album.
“It’s not a problem.” He smiled. You looked at him as if you were trying to make a decision. He looked at you too, wondering what you wanted to say. When he was about to open his mouth and ask you, you finally blurted out, “You make my favorite music.”
He gave you no response for a second and finally gave you a sweet smile, “Thank you.” He loved that this was the first thing you said to him. Technically, it wasn’t the first, but it was the first words you wanted to say to him.
He looked at the headphones in his hands and put it on, reaching behind you to press the repeat button. You were intensely aware of his arm still in the air, right above your right shoulder. You couldn’t look at him as he listened to the song, staring slightly above your head at the album. You felt hot all over and you were sure he knew what he was doing. You clenched your teeth to keep from smiling from embarrassment and nervousness.
You finally looked up to him and he looked down to you. He smiled and slowly waved his head left and right like you did earlier, mimicking you. You blushed, now realizing how long he’s noticed you. The song ended; it felt like forever, and you were waiting in silence too.
“You have good taste.” He finally said, taking off the headphones and putting it back on its rest, once again, behind you and above. You looked straight down because you couldn’t handle the close space and you finally let out a grin. Unfortunately, you knew that once you let out your grin, you can’t hold it back.
Yoongi bent down to pick up the albums you put down and forgot to pick them back up earlier. He looked through your chosen albums. He knew most of them.
“You have very good taste.” He complimented once more. He held out the one he didn’t know, “Can I listen to this?”
You nodded and led him to the aisle where you found it and its sample audio headphone. You gave him the headphones and chose your favorite track on that album. This time, his reaction was much faster. He was already bobbing his head to the music and you quickly grinned, pleased with his reaction.
He stopped bobbing and started to mouth something. He looked at you and gestured for pen and paper. Yu quickly whipped out your pen and notebook but paused at giving him your notebook. It was pretty special and had your private notes of all sorts of things. But you looked up at him and saw something a little desperate in his eyes, he needed your notebook as much as you did. You opened it to a page away from your last notes and handed it to him.
He took off the headphones and gave it back to you. He quickly sat on the floor and started scribbling madly. You looked around to make sure no one was around and slowly slid down to the floor next to him, quietly letting him do his thing. You put on your own headphones to start playing your music again and looked through the albums you were planning on purchasing. You itched to glance at his work, but from one artist to another, you wanted to respect his privacy until he was ready.
Some time passed and you checked your phone, finally realizing your friend has went home already. It’s been 35 minutes since he started writing. You were in no hurry and you hoped he wouldn’t notice that you checked your phone, probably thinking that you were in a hurry. You didn’t want to disturb his mojo.
He finally tapped you on the shoulder. You looked over and took off your headphones to rest around your neck again. He made a quick glance at the headphones on your neck and back up to you.
“This is probably my record.” He said, referring to the speed he worked for his song. You smiled, “I’m glad I was here for that. And I’m honored you used my notebook and pen. They’re very special to me.”
“Can you read music?” He asked. You slowly nodded, excited to think that he might let you see his work.
“Let’s trade.” He grabbed the headphones on your neck and put it on his head and handed you your notebook. Your mouth opened slightly at what just happened.
You slowly reached for your notebook and gave him your iPod to let him scroll through your songs. You were a little self-conscious that he would see what songs you had, but you were curious to see how much he would agree with your list.
He put an arm under his other elbow as he held up your iPod to look at your music and listen. You looked down to his song. Most of it was lyrics, some were scribbled out and rewritten. You loved how messy it looked; it was like being a part of his world. He had some notes here and there but you were able to understand what he was saying and could hear the notes playing in your head.
You finally read the lyrics word for word, learning its content. You started drumming your hand on your knee, catching the beat he intended, and mouthed the lyrics while listening to the notes in your head. Yoongi had such a way with his music, you were always so impressed. You hoped this moment would last forever.
You finished the song in your head and grinned. You looked back at him. He had his eyes closed and his head rested backwards. Was he that comfortable on a daily basis, was he comfortable with you, or does he not care?
Once again, you looked around, careful to see if anyone was around. He finally opened one eye and looked at you from the side. Oh, how you wished you could take a picture.
He took off your headphones.
“Please make this your title song. Or your intro.” You said.
“I want your iPod. I want you to keep the headphones though.” He said.
You both grinned at each other.

First Impressions | Hoseok
Summary line: What is the first encounter/interaction with BTS? What were you doing that made them so interested to interact with you?
Hoseok entered a small and empty café on his way to Big Hit. He loved it here and because he’s been here a couple times so the elderly woman remembers him. He loved her smile she gave him. She missed a few teeth and that broke his heart, but it was powerful to him that she maintains such a bright smile. On his off mornings, he made sure to come here just to refresh his own smile.
“Oh, how are you, child?” The woman waved at him as he walked towards her behind the counter.
“I’m fine, thank you for asking.” He gave a light smile compared to how he would usually greet her. He wasn’t immune to stress; he’s made it pretty clear in his music even if he didn’t always show it in public.
“Oh, child. You don’t look as well as I would like to see. No matter, we will make you the best drink, on the house! What would you like?” She gestured to the menu on the counter.
“Oh, please, that is not necessary.” He gave a brighter smile for her. He ordered his order and insisted to pay full price.
Behind him, the door opened and the little bell rang in the corner. He didn’t see who you were and you just darted straight to the back of the café, behind the curtain. The elderly woman looked at the trail of you, who went behind the curtain and put down the drink she was making for Hoseok.
“Excuse me, boy.” The woman followed you behind the curtain. Hoseok gave a half smile and looked at his half-filled drink and then at the clock. He wasn’t required to be at the company building at a specific time, but he had a few things on his mental to-do list.
He very much understood that a grandmother would want to check up on her granddaughter. He himself was a little curious, but he knew it wasn’t right to pry a stranger. If you knew him, and even better if you was ARMY, he would make a point to give you a bright smile and light your smile again. It’s the least he could do since your grandmother always refreshed his smile. It’s what he was born to do.
A little more time, the grandmother came back out and continued with his drink. He stared at the curtain, waiting on the girl to come out. The grandmother handed him his drink and noticed that he was still staring at the curtain.
“My granddaughter is very beautiful. If you ever see her smile, it’s a blessing.” She snapped him out of his trance. He looked down at the grandmother and a smile slowly rose up; what a cute grandmother.
“Grandmother, are you trying to set me up?” A sweet and light voice came from behind the grandmother and he finally saw your face. You tied your apron and looked at your grandmother with a light accusing smile. Your grandmother returned a guilty grin and your smile grew but not to your full capacity. You loved your grandmother’s smile. It’s why you chose to help your grandmother so often, especially when your parents argued with you about your future.
“His smile is almost as bright as yours. Look at this kid!” Your grandmother gestured at Hoseok and you finally looked up at him and shock washed over your face and he knew instantly that you recognized him. He gave a smile and waved at you, “Hello!”
“’Bright’ doesn’t do his smile justice.” You quietly agreed with your grandmother. He heard you and smiled as he looked down at his drink and looked up back to you; so you are ARMY. Your grandmother looked between the two of you and gushed. Your grandmother spent her time off watching dramas, no doubt there was a theater in her mind. She moved away to do something, anything to give you to time and space to look at each other.
“Your grandmother says you have a smile that’s a blessing.” He lightly tilted his head at you. A small smile rose but not enough to be what your grandmother referred to. He was determined to see that before he went on his way.
“She also said your smile is almost bright as mine. I know nothing is brighter than seeing your smile.” You told him.
“I guess you don’t look in the mirror.” You raised your eyebrows and looked away before you gave away your expression. He wouldn’t get your smile so easily. Not that you wanted to play with him like this, although it’s undoubtedly what’s keeping him from leaving. You were selfish and unconsciously wanted to keep him here longer.
He took a sip of his drink and sighed, “Your grandmother makes a wonderful drink.”
“I made that recipe.” You gestured at his order. He looked at his cup and looked at you with a raised eyebrow, “Is that right?” You gave a half smile. You went to the side and grabbed a honey squirt bottle and another cup. You recreated the drink in full sight of him. He noticed that you had a different way to make the drink rather than the way your grandmother did. You filled the cup until you had a fifth room left and turned away from him. He waited for you but it seemed to take quite a long time.
You set the cup down on the counter and he looked down. You put latte art in a drink that wasn’t supposed to have one but you pulled it off. It was impressive. You had a cartoon of your grandmother and her smile. You wrote him a question below your cartooned grandmother, What’s your hope?
He stared at the drink longer than you expected. Did you strike a nerve? You weren’t sure it was necessarily a good thing. You slowly moved the cup away but he stopped you. You swallowed saliva you didn’t realize was just suspended in your mouth. He finished his own drink and quickly took a picture of your latte art. He took the cup and stared at it even longer.
He gave a sad smile and looked at you, “I’ll let you know when I figure that out.” His smile turned happier, “But I’m pretty sure I will figure it out before I leave this place today.” He referred to your smile.
You looked down and let on a light smile. He tilted his head a little down, trying to catch what your smile looked like. You weren’t ready to reveal it just yet. If what he said was true, you wanted nothing more to give back to him what he gave to ARMY and his brothers all the time. But your true smile wasn’t a common occurrence; you felt bad that you couldn’t provide this for him as readily as he needed it. Water filled your eyes and a tear fell faster than you expected. You wished you held it in and you got mad at yourself for being the opposite of what Hoseok wanted and needed.
Hoseok quickly put his drink down and walked around to behind the counter. He brought you to the window nook to the side.
“I am very sorry. I don’t know what I did. Was it me?” Hoseok wanted so badly to provide you comfort but he didn’t know where the boundary was.
You closed your eyes, trying to make sure you were ready to look at him again. You heard strange noises and it snapped you out of whatever you were feeling and you decided to look up. He did his aegyo at you. You looked away and shook your head, letting out a short breathy laugh.
Why was it so hard to make you smile? Hoseok was sad that your smile wasn’t as readily revealed as your grandmother’s beautiful smile or his own. He remembered your drink with your cartooned grandmother. He left the nook to go find your grandmother.
You looked outside the window to see the small and empty street so early in the morning. In a while, you’re going to have to start making your way to school but you really didn’t want to. Academics and education didn’t bother you; it was just that you felt like you could use your time to do something you really wanted to do instead.
You heard noises behind you and looked toward it. You saw big faces of your grandmother and Hoseok pressing forward towards you, both making silly faces. Your grandmother was squishing Hoseok’s face and he was stretching your grandmother’s cheeks.
“I love you, child!” Your grandmother said distortedly. That was what you needed. You burst out laughing and your smile finally came out. Your grandmother cheered and hugged Hoseok. He hugged her back fully but he was mesmerized with your smile and laugh. You said "bright" didnt do his smile justice, he believes with all his heart that "blessing" doesnt do your smile justice. He finally figured out why you put a cartoon of your grandmother and her smile in your latte art. What an accomplishment would it be if he could one day make you smile readily even if you didn’t have your grandmother?!
“I found it!” He gave you his smile.
Just one more GIF for his smile :)

Summary line: What is the first encounter/interaction with BTS? What were you doing that made them so interested to interact with you?
Jimin and Hoseok were passing by the courts, on their way back to the company from lunch. There was loud music playing within the courts and they heard people cheering and laughing so of course they look past the fence to see what was going on. There were a group of people dancing to the music. Jimin and Hoseok stopped in their tracks to watch the group and point out particular moves that they noticed.
“I want to join them.” Hoseok commented, watching the group from beyond the fence.
“You want to show off?” Jimin grinned; teasing his bro. Hoseok shook off Jimin. Jimin pulled his brother to the court, “Let’s go.”
Before they even got to the group, people already recognized them. Everyone welcomed them and surrounded them. Soon, someone decided to be extremely brave and started the music once more, challenging the boys. The boys were having the time of their lives. Everyone was snapping pictures, calling friends, and taking videos. They felt normal and popular among their peers; almost blending in, just almost. It didn’t matter if people knew about this; it would probably be good publicity. The only thing they had to make sure was to get back to Big Hit on time.
Jimin started to feel like he wanted to slow down, besides, they should really start heading back now. But he was with Hoseok, that boy won’t know when to quit when it comes to dancing. Why did he push him here? He really wished he could be the same, but he was really craving something drink and eat right now.
“Y/N is back!” He turned to look over to you and a lot of your friends who were surrounding him and Hoseok rushed to you. You were holding many grocery bags and your friends just swarmed at you, or more specifically, at your bags.
“Drinks, fruits, snacks, I think I got enough. I’ll get more later.” You said. You were so absorbed in handing out the food and such to your friends, you didn’t even notice the two idols who were still grooving along to the music with some of the people who didn’t rush to you.
“Y/N, look! It’s Jimin and Hoseok!” Your head whipped up and made eye contact with Jimin first who was sitting on the bench, slightly hunched over, head tilted, side view. He gave you a cute smile, making sure his eye smile game was on. You were so excited, you quickly grabbed two drinks and snacks and made your way toward them.
“Hi! It’s such an honor to meet you. Are you thirsty or hungry?” You stretched out the drinks and snacks out to Jimin before remembering that Hoseok was there too. You looked up to Hoseok, but your hands were still outstretched to Jimin.
Jimin laughed and took a drink and snack from you, “Thank you. I was just thinking that I was thirsty.” Hoseok did the same and gave a side glance to Jimin’s attention to you. He smirked in his drink and turned around, making his way back to the dancers and enjoying all the freedom he could.
You decided to be brave to sit down next to Jimin as he took a sip of the drink. He looked at the drink in hand, “I haven’t had one of these in so long. I miss this flavor the most.” You smiled, you are so happy that this one is the one you chose to give to him. Honestly, it was your favorite too but you were feeling a little shyer than you wanted to be at that moment. You wanted to talk to him, keep his attention to you so you could see more of his smile.
He noticed you didn’t reply to him so he changed the subject, “I’m surprised you went to buy food for everyone. You guys planning to stay here long or something?”
“Actually, my friends are going to be filming a dance video later when it gets darker. I’m kind of their runner.” You looked down. Not only were you quiet, you were just an average dancer and didn’t have the confidence like your friends to be a part of a large dance video. You were nothing like Jimin and you were scared he thought you had nothing in common. Maybe you should blurt out the drink is your favorite too.
“Just a runner? You seem much more important to your friends than just that.” He said sweetly.
“She’s not just a runner. She’s our location manager and set decorator/designer too. She’s great at critiquing aesthetics. Give yourself more credit, Y/N.” One of your guy friends picked up a drink that was next to you and gave you a smile before going back to talk to Hoseok and the other people.”
“Who’s that?” Jimin gestured to your friend who just left. Jimin’s smile was gone and stared at your friend.
“He’s our director for this video. Usually he’s overseas in college, but he’s on break right now.” You explained, turning your body slightly towards Jimin, trying to show through your body language that you were very focused on him.
Jimin looked down at the drink in his hand, almost embarrassed with a smile. What was that he just felt? That wasn’t normal, nor appropriate for him to feel that way for someone he just felt.
“That’s cool. So he said you did set designing?”
“Yes, I’m going into college to major set design. I want to design sets for MVs, movies, performance stages, and maybe, if I’m really good, I’ll try American broadway stages.” You looked up with a faraway look.
“That’s a wonderful dream. I hope you accomplish it.” Jimin said sincerely, looking at you.
“So you critique aesthetics, huh? How do I look today?” Jimin touched his chin and gave you a smile. You giggled and looked away, “That’s not what he meant. But, I always thought you are always a 10/10.” You told him. He let go of his chin and gave you a smile, “Thank you.” BTS always jokes about how he was the least good looking. He believed it too so he didn’t think you truly thought he was good looking.
“What aesthetics is he talking about then?” Jimin asked.
“I have a lot to comment on almost everything. Set/location critic mostly. I guess at some point face and outfits counts too, but I let our makeup artists and coordi handle most of that, I’m the secondhand, nonprofessional critic on those things.”
“Jimin, we need to go now. It’s been 45 minutes.” Hoseok jogged to Jimin and lightly swatted him on the shoulder. Has it been that long? You and Jimin have only been talking for a short time. Getting all the food back by yourself was kind of hard on you, no wonder it took so long to get back.
“Did you know they are filming a dance video here tonight, Hoseok?” Jimin asked, getting up from the bench. You got up with him.
“No I didn’t. You guys have a lot of people here. You guys must be really big and professional about it.” Hoseok commented to you.
“Yes, we’d like to think we’ll one day be a real production company together. We actually have our own channel on YouTube. Check us out.” You handed Jimin and Hoseok a business card.
“Wow, a business card. Very professional.” Hoseok said.
“’Unlocked Productions’?” Jimin looked from the business card to you.
“We hope to unlock everyone’s dreams, fantasies, realities, imaginations, and creativity through motivation and inspiration in our works.” You gave them the definition of why you and your friends chose this name together.”
“I will definitely be looking out for you guys.” Jimin smiled and looked at you.
“Thank you.” Joy flooded through your gates. You really hoped it was true. Hoseok already started leaving and Jimin was about to walk away as well, “I’m serious, I’ll check you out. This is the first time I’ve heard about an ARMY’s dream. And even greater, your dreams for your productions are the exact dreams we have for ARMY. I’ll be there to support you.”
Your lips slightly parted in shock and gratefulness. Wait, did he say he’ll check you out?
“And I always have and will continue to support you, Jimin. I’m serious when I say you’re 10/10. Don’t you dare ever underestimate yourself anymore. You and everyone else need to give you more credit for who you are and what you do. Tell them ARMY told them that so they better listen.” You joked but was serious about him. Jimin laughed, “We wouldn’t dare defy ARMY about this.”
“Make sure of that.” You smiled.

First Impressions | Taehyung
Summary line: What is your first encounter/interaction with BTS? What were you doing that made them so interested to interact with you?
It’s great to be out and spend some alone time before heading back to Seoul. Taehyung was quietly walking his dog as his last chore for the family during the holiday. It’s been great, although he did run into some fans that disturbed his family time. He decided to let it go since he loves ARMY. Passing by a playground park, he noticed a young boy by himself, squatted at a playground, drawing circles on the playground sand. He went to the boy.
“Hello, whatcha doing?” he asked, smiling at the boy. The boy looked up and his eyes widened.
“You’re V!” The boy stood up and bounced up and down. Taehyung widened his eyes and then gave a full on rectangular smile. Not only does a tiny boy know him, he’s super cute!
“Yes, I’m V!” Taehyung started jumping up and down with the boy. The boy looked at his dog and started petting him, “My sister loves you!” Ah, so that’s why.
“Oh, is that right? That’s cool. Where is she? Are you waiting for her or did you get lost?” Taehyung looked around. He hoped this boy wasn’t alone because of any family problems or she was careless with him. The little boy looked down. Taehyung refrained from pouting. He heard your voice calling out to the little boy.
“Noona! It’s V! It’s V!” Your brother looked up, ran to you, and pulled you towards Taehyung. He turned around to see you. You stared at him with a grin, “Wow! It’s so nice to meet you!” He looked at your hands to see two large thermoses. Behind you was a little girl who was even younger than your brother, clutching onto your pants. He didn’t know which face to focus on; your whole family was gorgeous!
“Could you give us a minute, please? Please don’t go.” Your eyes were huge and pleading, he couldn’t say no.
“Okay…” He was a little unsure since he had to finish walking his dog and get back. But he was curious to see what was going on.
“So, you think you can get away with running away because you caught a celebrity?” You sternly looked at the little boy. Taehyung had a look of surprise, the boy ran away? Why?
“My little brother,” You knelt down and wrapped your arm around your sister behind you and pulled her to your side rather than behind you so you can keep an eye on her while looking at your brother. Your eyes went from stern to gentle. Taehyung couldn’t help but be mesmerized by your eyes.
“Little brother, tell me. What did you do?” You asked quietly, trying to catch your brother’s eyes. Your brother was looking back and forth between you and his shoes. He angrily wiped his eyes before tears fell.
“I’m not yelling at you, I just want you to tell me. Did you push mommy’s computer on the floor?” Taehyung’s eyes widened. Ooooo, that’s super bad. Your brother didn’t respond.
“Did you push mommy’s computer on the floor? You need to answer me.” You asked more sternly this time. Your brother nodded ever-so-slightly.
“Why did you do it? Was it because you wanted to make room for your toys?” You asked, probing gently. Taehyung raised his eyebrow; this is how you talk to a kid in trouble? Your brother didn’t respond.
“You know that mommy’s computer is expensive, you know you shouldn’t push it off the desk. You shouldn’t push away things that aren’t yours so you can make room for your own things in general. You do know that, I know you do. You are better than that, I know you are.” Your brother wiped away another tear.
“Your sister was just telling the truth. You were at fault for pushing her too, do you understand?” Your brother looked to the bottom corner of his eyes, to your sister’s shoes.
“Are you upset because you feel bad for pushing mommy’s computer and your sister?” He nodded.
“Then in order to fix that, you need to apologize to your sister, right now.”
“Sorry.” He said quietly. You nodded and gave a small smile. You looked at your sister, “Do you forgive your brother?” Your sister was biting on her sleeve as she nodded. You let out a short laugh and pulled the sleeve away from her mouth. You held her hand to keep her from putting it back on her mouth and looked back at your brother.
“Mommy’s computer is okay. I fixed it. But you still need to apologize to her when we get back, okay?” Your brother nodded.
“But that’s not my biggest disappointment.” He looked at you.
“You ran off after pushing your sister. Do you know how much you scared me?!” Your voice raised and you made your brother look at you.
“Please don’t ever run away again. You scare all of us, especially me. I love you and I don’t want anything to happen to you. And when you do something wrong, you don’t run away. You need to face it, do you understand me?” Your brother didn’t say anything again, you shook his arm a little, “Hey, do you understand me?” He nodded. Your shoulders dropped and you pulled him to you for a hug. Aww, what a sight to see for Taehyung, it’s a happy ending! You pulled away and held up a thermos to your brother’s face.
“I have some hot chocolate in case we got cold out here. We can have some before heading back.” You smiled. Your brother didn’t respond to you.
“Hey, everything’s okay now, alright? Smile” You did some aegyo to your brother and then tickled your brother, making him laugh a bit but tried to push you away. You held both your sibling’s hands as you walked to Taehyung. And he thought you forgot him, hah!
“Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry you had to wait. I can’t believe I asked you to wait. I hoped this didn’t take up too much of your time.” Woah, where did your excitement come from? Your smile was amazing!
“It’s okay. It was nice to see everything got resolved.” He smiled at your siblings.
“Yup! Would you like some hot chocolate? I have quite a bit.” You magically pulled out cups from your handbag. Where did those come from?! It’s like you had magic or something!
“I really didn’t mean to ignore you, it was just very bad timing.” You said, pour him some hot chocolate and handing it to him.
“Don’t be sorry. It’s good to see your priorities.” He grinned and you smiled back. He took your cup and drank some as you poured some for your sister and brother.
“Wow! This is so good!” He exclaimed, finishing his cup. You just finished one thermos and opened the other one, because you loved hot chocolate and was always prepared, and poured more without any prompt, “Please, have some more.” And more he did. Apparently you don’t live too far away from here. You had some with him as your brother and sister played with his dog. You chatted with him for a while before reminding him that he needed to go back to Seoul. He really didn’t want to. Finally, he handed you back his cup and put his dog back on the leash.
“It was nice to meet you. You are a wonderful sister and make great hot chocolate.” He smiled at you.
“Maybe we’ll see each other again. I’ll make more.” You smiled.
“I hope so.” He mostly meant the seeing you again part.

I Ship It | Suga ft. Jin
Summary lines: Different members of BTS are subtly matchmaking other members to you
“I swear, he’s not scary. A little serious…okay, a lot serious. But when he hears you’re ARMY, he’ll be very nice, I promise you.” Jin smiled as he led you through the hallways of BigHit.
You’re Jin’s classmate and you got to work with him through two projects in the past two semesters, lucky you! He had such a brotherly feel to him, with a dash of motherly care, of course.
You knew that he wouldn’t be showing up on school grounds for a while now, since BTS had quite a bit of work to prepare for the next album. So you were going to be a good friend, and ARMY, by supporting him through school work; helping him catch up, reminding him of any upcoming quizzes or homework he can actually turn in online, etc. As his gratitude, he invited you for coffee in the local coffee shop while you share class notes with him, but first, stop by to say hi to all the BTS members!
The dance line was in the dance studio, stretching out before practicing some new moves. You actually got to see a glimpse of the legendary serious J-Hope as he was making small moves to track his choreo. When he saw an unfamiliar face, he immediately stopped to know who you were. Jin had introduced you and J-hope automatically turned into his sunshine state and shook your hand vigorously. Luckily you haven’t seen anything concrete so the choreo was safe to continue to work on. Jimin was a smiling angel and Jungkook was polite.
V and Rap Monster were in Rap Monster’s studio. Apparently V was sharing some new lyric ideas with Rap Monster one-on-one. You could probably guess that V was going to be able to participate in one of the songs in the next album and that was always exciting. You’ve never been to their fan meets or got to see them up close and personal before. V had such a deep voice and looked beautiful. Rap Monster was a dimpled mess in his studio. Oh, and his studio!!! You felt like there was a rush of a thousand philosophical gurus rushing into your body, inspiring you to work hard.
Now Suga, you knew he was just as sweet as his name, even if he didn’t show it as readily as everyone else, but you knew what you saw majority is probably what you’re going to get. Also he’s only mostly sweet for the people he is closer to. He was so straightforward, you don’t expect him to be anything else but what you saw through a camera lens. Even so, he made you nervous. It didn’t help that he was your favorite.
You’re pretty quiet and subtle. Every performance and interview, there was a essence to him that kind of threw you off. A little unpredictable when he would be serious and straightforward, or when he would let loose and goof off with the rest of Bangtan. You really liked relaxed people because they made you feel at ease and you tend to enjoy peaceful friends. What if you were accidentally clumsy and he scolded you at first meet? You are so timid and you’re scared that his presence makes it difficult for you to breathe.
Jin knocked on Suga’s studio door and you subtly cowered behind his broad shoulders. Jin turned his head to look at you and gave you a smile like, “Why are you so cute?” He took you by the elbow and pulled you forward to stand next to him rather than behind him.
“Come in.” Jin opened the door and nodded his head for you to follow him in. You took in the atmosphere of his room. You’ve seen the pictures and it didn’t do it justice. If Rap Monster had the presence of a thousand philosophical gurus in his room, Suga had a thousand musical prodigies in his. You felt sensitive to all his musical instruments and tech in the room; all of this to create music, his music. The speakers would overflow with his sound and his taste. The screens can reveal his secret notes. Rap Monster had his tech off as he spoke with V earlier, so it didn’t hit you as strong. Rather, Rap Monster’s presence was wise and caring, even if he was slightly younger than you. He was the leader type indeed. But as second-in-command, Suga’s presence was strong as well.
“Hey, Suga. I brought a friend from school, y/n. We’re going to the coffee shop down the street but I wanted her to meet everyone first.” Suga finished his last application to his current song and minimized his work before you could see clearly, which you couldn’t anyway since you stayed far away and couldn’t see anything on the screen behind your view of his head.
He swiveled on his chair and finally saw you. He saw you. Not as ARMY, but as y/n, whoever you are as a person. Timid person, for sure. You weren’t sure why, but this didn’t hit you the same way as when you met the others. He had a piercing gaze, but it wasn’t to judge you or anything. Just to recognize the stranger in his sanctuary. Was this intruding to him?
“Hi.” He gave a small smile and wave like you’ve seen him so many times when taking pictures.
“Nice to meet you.” You knew he wasn’t supposed to be an intimidating person at all, so you did your best to calm down and not make him feel like you were intimidated. You gave a polite smile in return.
“What class are you in with Jin?”
“Body Expressions.”
“That sounds fun. So it’s like reading body language.”
“More of how to express it, but yes, if you can read it, you can probably express it just as well.” Bringing up the class reminded you that you could practice the theories right now. Read Suga and express confidence and calmness.
You recalled when he minimized his windows, his shoulders slightly raised. He wasn’t expecting you and he felt the need to be aware of the stranger. But after your greeting, his shoulders relaxed again. Below his piercing gaze, his lips were not tight and subtly curved upward more than straight or curved downward. He was relaxed so you weren’t intruding his personal space. His feet were straight forward, directed at your direction, so you were actually the center of his attention. He wasn’t griping on his arm rests but his hands hovered over him as his arms were rested.
“So we’re going to get coffee, do you want me to bring you back anything?” Jin grabbed Suga’s attention. Suga swiveled the chair slightly at Jin, but his feet stayed where they were.
“Black coffee please.” Jin nodded and looked between the two of you. Suga just stared at you, with no indication on his part that he felt uncomfortable at all. You on the other hand, are not used to his roommate’s piercing gaze. Whether or not Jin made it worse is up to perspective.
“Y/N tells me you’re her favorite. So she’s a little nervous.” Jin told Suga and you looked at him horrified.
The corners of Suga’s lips twitched upwards and he looked back at you.
“Oh yeah? What do you like about me?” Countless fans have expressed their affection to Suga, this was nothing new.
“U-um…I’m not too good with words.” You looked down, guilty. This is practically a once in a lifetime opportunity and you didn’t prepare yourself to express yourself as thoroughly and as sincerely as you wanted to.
“It’s okay then. You can tell me next time.” Suga smiled at you. You smiled back and quickly excused yourself and Jin. You left the room fanning yourself as your mind repeated his last two words over and over.
Out of your hearing range, Jin quickly turned back to Suga and asked, “What do you think about her?”
“She’s quiet.” Suga said and quickly spun back to his work.
As Jin and you left the building, Jin couldn’t wipe the grin off his face, he was so excited. He vowed to himself to take you back here another time to tell Suga what you think of him because he already knew what Suga thought.
His roommate loves quiet.
This is a short series I’m going to be doing. Not every member will be matched, but every member will appear in the series. If you wanna know who is going to be matched, I’ll give you a hint. During the “BTS, please choose” corner, there was one question where they were split 4-3 where Suga and Jin were not in the same group. That question has all the extroverts in the same group + 1.
I’ve got A Confidence Game to work on and finish off Jungkook’s First Impression Scenario, but I’m kind of deciding to change career paths after I’ve just walked my commencement and finishing up my credits this summer (and that’s still an issue to address)...it sucks and anxiety is filled to the brim, but it must be done. Have patience please. So until then, here’s another short series for you to anticipate.
Also, thank you @bangtan-writing for helping me out with sorting out some thoughts for this scenario series.

I Ship It | Jungkook ft. Jimin and Taehyung
Summary line: Different members of BTS are subtly matchmaking other members to you
Jimin had one arm, and Taehyung had another. Together, they attempted to pull their young Jungkookie out of bed. Unfortunately, all they got was a sliding slug from the couch to the floor.
Namjoon had fallen asleep before Jungkook again, which is never a surprise because Jungkook hardly sleeps early. Namjoon’s snoring has been getting worse and Jungkook was too irritated to try sleeping above the bed of a bulldozer last night.
“Come on! It’s fun! Our friends from high school are fun!” Jimin crouched down to Jungkook’s body on the floor and nudged his shoulder.
“I’m surprised you still keep in touch with them.” Jungkook mumbled and turned his head away from Jimin. Jimin “tsked” him and got up, letting Taehyung come in to give it a shot.
“We’re going for ice cream. I’ll treat you and Jimin.” That got a twitch from Jungkook’s eyebrows though his eyes stayed closed. Tae doesn’t really pay for people a lot. That’s interesting.
“Mmm…” Jungkook groaned and rolled over before sitting up with his eyes still closed. Taehyung patted his back with a smile and got up, telling him that he has 20 minutes before they leave.
“Your treat, huh?” Jimin put an arm on Taehyung’s shoulder as they waited for Jungkook to get ready, “You’re being pretty obvious.”
“Ah, he’s too tired to think about that right now anyway. Besides, one day, he’ll be treating us to a whole wedding feast.” Taehyung winked and Jimin laughed.
Jungkook had his head down at his phone playing games for a while now. The trio was already at the ice-cream parlor and sat down, waiting for Jimin and Taehyung’s old high school classmates. If he had noticed his surroundings, he would have recognized Taehyung’s nervous habit of bouncing his knees and Jimin who keeps glancing at the door.
There was a ring of a bell that signaled customer entry into the shop. Taehyung and Jimin shot up, which to Jungkook also did belatedly.
“Hi!” You threw your arms outward as you walked over to your two ex-classmates. You would have shouted their names, but you didn’t want to cause that much attention. Just by checking out their corner table, you knew they want to keep it on the down-low.
Jimin let go of you and then Taehyung came in next for your embrace. You looked at the corner of you eye to see a very familiar face through a screen, but never in person.
“Hi, Jungkook.” You said very friendly. He smiled and nodded at you.
“Have you guys picked your ice cream yet? Let me pay. I haven’t seen you guys in forever.” You pointed to yourself and led the boys to the line in front of the ice cream display.
“I promised that I would treat Jungkook and Jimiin if he came out because it’s so rare, so it’s okay.” Taehyung smiled at you.
“Well it’s even rarer that I get to see you guys, so I want to. I’ll treat Jungkook. It’s okay, right?” You looked at all three of them.
“Okay, I’ll treat you next time, Jungkook.” Taehyung patted Jungkook on the shoulder. You and Jimin were up ahead to chat while Jungkook and Taehyung stayed behind you two.
“Don’t you guys have more friends, I thought more people were coming.” Jungkook asked Taehyung.
“Y/N doesn’t have a normal schedule, so we’ll meet up with the others. We’re just meeting up with Y/N right now. She’s all we need anyway. She’s really cool. She’s majoring in Kinesiology to be an athletic trainer. She works at a gym and volunteers at that children’s foster home we went to a couple years ago, we introduced it to her and now she goes every other week.” Taehyung smiled gleefully, gushing about his wonderful friend as he watched his other wonderful friend staring at the back of your head as he listened about you.
“What do you guys want?” You turned back to them. Jungkook stared at you for just an extra two seconds to see your face with a relaxed smile. He mirrored yours.
“Are you eating? I feel like I should have told them to give you an extra scoop.” You nudged Jimin at your side.
“I eat!” Jimin promised.
“He just exercises twice as much to lose what he gained.” Taehyung also shared your disapproving look at Jimin.
“Look, I’m all about exercising, but please don’t exhaust yourself. Overdoing it will just give you a backlash.” You stuffed another spoonful of your ice cream.
“I don’t want people to worry about me. I won’t let it go too far.” Jimin said. You frowned because you felt like it wasn’t enough for you.
“Jimin, I really care about you, I know you. I really care about all of you.” You emphasized, looking around the table, “No one will love you any less for gaining an extra pound. No one will love you any more just because you have abs. You’re you and ARMY loves you. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be ARMY and you don’t have to worry about those people, okay.” You ducked your head to get better eye contact with Jimin.
Jimin nodded and leaned his head on top of yours, “Thanks.”
Jungkook watched the exchange and his eyes were locked in on your contact. He cleared his throat. What was he doing?
“So, y/n, where do you study?” At Jungkook’s interjection to have a direct conversation with you, Jimin and Taehyung exchanged looks.
“SNU. I’m starting my third year at the next term, so it will be more about my major’s core classes. I’m so excited to be done with the general ed.”
“You want to know how she got in? She was the lifeguard of the school swimming pool and saved the child of the dean. He personally reviewed her transcripts, application, and handpicked her to be one of the people to have an in-person interview. It was so cool!” Jimin jumped excitedly. Jungkook looked at you and you looked down to your ice cream as you scooped your last bit and smiled.
“That’s so cool!” Jungkook leaned in with a grin.
“Thank you. But Jimin, you’re not my mother, stop telling that story to everyone. It’s getting embarrassing.”
“What, I’ve only told Jungkook, and Yoongi-hyung, Hoseok-hyung, Seokjin-hyung, Namjoon-hyung, our makeup noona, coordi noona, teacher Son, Bang – “
“Jimin!” You laughed.
“How come the others heard about y/n first?” Jungkook asked, specifically his hyungs.
“They’ve actually met her before. Even Yoongi-hyung. You’re last on the list.” Taehyung licked his spoon and dropped it in the empty cup.
“If you want to meet other cool people, you should come out more. Even Yoongi-hyung beat you to y/n!” Jimin teased.
“One’s all I need.” Jungkook mumbled. You raised an eyebrow. He thought he was quiet, but even if the shops fans spun faster, you could have heard him. Not only you, Taehyung and Jimin also heard him. It amused them two because they know competitive Jungkook, but this is the first time anyone has ever seen him like this.
“I need to catch the bus. I’ll see you guys next time.” You collected everyone’s empty cups and dirty napkins and got up to throw it in the trash can. You came back to the table and the boys stood up. Jimin and Taehyung gave you a good bye hug. You looked at Jungkook.
“I know it’s the first time I met you, but can I give you a hug?” Jungkook gave a smile, suppressing the nervous expression, and nodded. You stepped forward and gave him a hug. Oh my God, you smell like fresh laundry.
You waved bye to them and they walked in the opposite direction of you. Jungkook was the last to turn away from your retreating figure.
“What gym does she work at?” Jungkook asked, super subtle.
“It’s the fourth closest gym near BigHit. We don’t go to that one because ours is still closer to between us and BigHit.” Taehyung informed. Jungkook only hummed and looked back down at his phone.
“It’s not that far. It would be a good run.” Jungkook mumbled to himself as he zoomed in the map on his phone.
Jimin and Taehyung exchanged winks. They’ll see you again very soon.
This is a short series I’m going to be doing. Not every member will be matched, but every member will appear in the series. If you wanna know who is going to be matched, I’ll give you a hint. Instinct pt.1 | Taehyung
The request
Summary line: It’s Taehyung’s instinct that you will be a very important person in his life.
It starts in the Great Hall on a Saturday morning, before the first Quidditch match of the year. Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff. You are already speculating who would be the winner. There are great chasers and beaters in Ravenclaw, but Hufflepuff has good beaters and chasers too. So it’s down to the seeker.
The Ravenclaw seeker is very intuitive but he lacks a proper sense of surroundings, to be honest, you would know because that’s kind of the same way you are. The Hufflepuff seeker, Jungkook, is ridiculously competitive for a Hufflepuff, but it’s been three years since you’ve been here to recognize that just because he is a Hufflepuff does not mean he can’t be extremely competitive.
So not only is he competitive, his strength is Ravenclaw’s weakness. You bet the game is Hufflepuff’s victory.
You are a people watcher. You enjoy understanding people’s motives in order to deduce their actions and the outcomes. Is it so you can manipulate the people around you? No. Is it to manipulate the surroundings so people will go the way you want? No. See, not all those in Slytherin have the manipulative motive.
You weren’t sure what your motives were in understanding people either, until you finally chose Arithmancy for one of your electives for this year, the other, Divination. You want to be a predictor of sorts, maybe even work in the Department of Mysteries as an Unspeakable. By age 13, you had your goal; almost all of Slytherin felt competitive to have a goal at a young age, you were no exception.
But as known, you lack proper sense of your surroundings. You’re too busy thinking about the Quidditch game that you miss the Gryffindor boy running down the column of space between the Gryffindor and Slytherin table.
It’s like hitting a wall dressed in wool and you rebounded off the boy. Before you fall on your butt though, the Gryffindor boy reaches out to your elbow to steady you.
“Oh, I’m sorry. Are you okay?” After you steady, you look up the boy. Kim Taehyung. Gryffindor beater, same year, Ravenclaw mother, muggle father.
“I’m fine.”
“You’re in my divination class. The one who wrote an eight page essay instead of two about Chinese fortune sticks.” Taehyung gives a boxy grin. With his words and his grin, one would think he’s mocking at your overachieving self. When you turned in the paper, Professor Trelawney had the audacity to tell you that you can take away the extra pages. You had a, unique discussion, about how your analysis couldn’t be compressed into two pages and she needs to take it as is. You handed in all eight pages and got full marks. Exceeds expectations indeed.
But rather than a mocking stance, his tone and his eyes shows something different. Recognition and validation. But you don’t trust that. Not yet.
“Yeah.” You cross your arms and stare up at him, daring him to begin his mockery.
“Don’t tell anyone this, but I’m actually interested in that paper. Would you mind borrowing it to me so I can read it?” You are taken aback. He doesn’t usually show much enthusiasm in class and he only turned in a page and a half for that essay.
“I guess. I can give it to you in class.”
“Great! By the way, who do you think will win today?” What a quick switch of conversation!
“I believe Hufflepuff.”
“Me too. But I think my reasons are not as analytical as yours. I’m just rooting for my friends. But I’ll take your word for it. If they win, I will share with you my winnings.” Ah, so he plans to make a bet for the match.
“You’re using me to make a bet?” You ask with contempt.
“What? No, no! I’m not betting. Well, okay, kind of. Not with money though. With chocolate frog cards. I’m betting with a couple other Gryffindors about the game today. I already made the bet, I’m just seeking for a second opinion to validate it, and you are the best for that!”
“How do you know that my conclusions are accurate?” Not saying that they aren’t, but is he watching you or something?
“Because I seek out the strengths of people I want to befriend.”
Before you could ask him more about his apparent desire to befriend you, he bounds away to his friends who are calling him from the entrance of the Great Hall. He tells you to stay warm as he darts off, this time, he dodges all the people in his way.
But he doesn’t even know your name! He recognizes you as the girl with the eight page paper!
You shake your head and walk over to your spot for breakfast. You put these thoughts off for now. He’s far too enigmatic for you right now. And that bothers you
As predicted by the both of you, for different reasons, Hufflepuff won. You sit down in your seat in the Divination classroom. Before you even take a second breath, Taehyung drops to the table next to yours. He drops 6 chocolate frog cards in front of you.
“These are my winnings. You can choose half and I’ll keep the rest.”
“I have no interest in chocolate frog cards, I don’t collect them. You can keep it all.” You take your essay out of your bag, “But here’s the essay.”
“Thanks. But, do you want anything in return anyway? You’re like a partner for predictions; I’d hate to take away that credit from you.” The credit sure feels good.
“Just return the essay to me when you’re done with it. Thanks.” And with that, Divinations begin and there‘s a test today.
Twenty minutes in the test, your table starts shaking. Your table partner, some Ravenclaw, is bouncing his knee and you grit your teeth in annoyance and look up to hiss at him to quit it. But when you look up, you notice exactly how much he’s shaking as if he’s in a moment of confliction. You study his eye movements and see him darting about to other student’s papers. How dare he think of cheating! He hasn’t noticed your attendance to his thoughts as he darts his eyes back to your paper, three times.
Before you can do or say anything, you see his eyes widen at his paper and you look down too.
If you continue look at other people’s papers and cheat, I will make you grown antlers and so much hair, you trip every step.
You widen your eyes as well, what is that? Who is that?
You look at Trelawney who is busy fiddling with her hands and looking into her pot of tea. All other students are busy scrawling away on their papers except for three people: you, the Ravenclaw, and Taehyung.
You look at Taehyung, who’s in the table over, and he gives you a wink. The Ravenclaw begins to write on his test; it seems that he’s made his choice.
“He would have never followed through, but it was only to ensure it.” Taehyung said to you on the way down the North Tower.
“And how did you catch him cheating?” You asked.
“Your table was bouncing and it was annoying.” You quirk a smile.
“What’s so funny?”
“It’s how I started to notice him cheating too.” You admit. He gives you another boxy grin.
“Why do you want to be my friend?” You ask, nearing the last steps.
“It’s a secret method, but it’s my instinct that you will be a good friend.” It doesn’t satisfy you, but you understand instinct.
“So, friends?” He turns to you and sticks his hand out.
You take it.
“Friends.”
Aww the first gif i find is the one I was thinking of. Good call!
A/N: By the powers vested in Slytherin anon, the format of my choosing is a short scenario series. Not one, because friendship to love takes progress that can’t be confined in one scenario, and fanfiction is too chronologically-one-after-another. This is more of The Adventures of...type series with progressive plot that eventually leads to love in the last one. Besides, as Slytherin anon says, there’s not enough Slytherin readers, so we must even out the odds by making more scenarios!
There will be no more than 4 original scenarios to this series, but if anyone enjoys this plot, you are all welcome to send in imagines and/or headcanons that keep this story alive, adding more and more adventures and love progress to this. I may or may not make references to the hogwarts au I’ve already created previously. You can read all of them all here!
To Slytherin anon: I hope you find this to your liking. Once again, thank you for your trust in my plot and story, it means a lot. I hope to do Slytherin justice.

The best way you would describe your friendship with Taehyung is “endless shenanigans meets infinite sobriety”. One of the things you learn about Taehyung is that he’s never done searching for a new adventure. What you mean by that is, something like this:
“Y/N! Okay, so you know how I was thinking about how portraits have their own worlds and they can actually travel through portraits? I’m thinking about trying that this summer to grab you and we go to one of those muggle food stops.”
“Tae, remember, that’s only for portrait subjects who can do that. Wizards and witches get painted with the painter’s idea of them to create the character, and then that character has life within the portrait. We cannot turn ourselves into portrait subjects, and if anyone creates us, it’s still not us and we cannot leave the portrait to visit muggle food stops.”
“Okay. So, anyway. I heard a rumor that mermaids actually have a collection of treasures, and the Salazar actually communicated with them about allowing some of his own treasures to be stored there for safe keeping. Slytherin common room can see under the Black Lake, right? Well what if you…”
And that’s what he does.
Sometimes you feel like it’s a blessing and a curse to be his friend. For someone who is not nearly as wide-eyed adventurous as him, it sometimes feels like he just pulls you along like a kite. At the same time, if it isn’t for him, you, as the kite, would never fly so high. His adventures and his ideas keeps you on your toes as well as challenges you to figure out the pattern of his creativity as well as putting your practicality into his goals. You believe it’s one of the reasons he keeps you around, but you keep him around as well, so it’s fair.
Not only does your friendship add color to your life and yield to his, but you see why he is sorted into Gryffindor. There’s a sense of pride you have for having a friend that is so lion-hearted, to find a friend who is so authentically Gryffindor. But sometimes, you wonder if he would do well in Slytherin.
“Well, here we are again, Captain Min.” Taehyung stops in front of you and Yoongi who are walking out of the Great Hall to the Quidditch field. Of all the friends Taehyung has, Yoongi is a Slytherin. You two sometimes stick around each other in silence in the common room due to your mutual friend. You two have unspokenly agreed to be each other’s companion when you two are stuck without friends.
“I’ll see you out there, Taehyung. You better be on your toes, my beater is ready for revenge since you last stopped his girlfriend from scoring a goal.” Yoongi smirked.
“He’s just jealous that your team is no match for my defense/offense skills. It’s my job. And even if his girlfriend was able to dodge my bludger, Seokjin would have caught it. Just face it, Gryffindor is just better.” Taehyung taunted playfully. Yoongi just shook his head.
At this time, the aforementioned couple is walking past you two. The beater bumped shoulders with Taehyung, but before Taehyung can get in a word, Yoongi yanks the boy back and glares him down.
“Apologize to my friend, Bullens.” He says with gritted teeth.
Bullens tries to wretch out of Yoongi’s grasp, but no avail. Behind Yoongi, you also gave him a raised eyebrow, daring him to try anything.
“Sorry.” Bullens looks at Taehyung and Yoongi pushes him away back to his original direction, “Get to the Quidditch field.”
Yoongi turns back to Taehyung and pats him on the shoulder, “I’ll see you out there…be careful.” Taehyung just nods with a smile and Yoongi stalks off, glaring holes into Bullens’ back.
Taehyung looks back to you, “I think you should wear this today during the game.” He puts his scarf around your neck and wraps it around until it covers the bottom half of your face. You pull down the scarf from your face.
“You’re delusional. It’s Slytherin vs. Gryffindor. Why wouldn’t I root for my own house?” You took off the scarf and threw it back at him. He catches it but tries to put it on you again, this time you’re laughing as you raise up your hands to dodge his scarf.
“Aww, come on! It’s a way to cheer up my spirit to know my friend is cheering on for me. If I was a spectator and you were on the team, I would wear something of yours.”
“You do have more friends than just me, you know. If it isn’t for Slytherin against you today, I will definitely wear your scarf when you go against Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.”
“Yeah but you’re my only girl friend right now. That’s so much more special than my guy friends cheering me on.” You raise your eyebrow at that and you wait until Taehyung catches your lull and his own words.
“M-my friend that’s a girl.” He corrected himself. You two revert back to the silly scarf fight.
You finally take his scarf but you don’t put it on. Instead, you brush your hair behind your ears and show him your amber colored earrings.
“And these don’t match my emerald ensemble either. I got you, okay?”
He pouts, “It’s still not my scarf.” You roll your eyes as you two walk towards the Quidditch field. It’s obvious to him that it’s the best compromise you can come up with.
It’s 80/70, Slytherin to Gryffindor. You cheer so hard for Slytherin, but whenever Taehyung looks at you, you send him a few claps and brush your hair back, making him smile.
A Slytherin chaser zooms past your gaze, making the both of you focus back on the game. The Slytherin chaser ducks under a Gryffindor chaser and moves to the right, past the other Gryffindor beater, and passes the quaffle to another Slytherin chaser.
The chaser zooms forward towards Taehyung and knocks into him as he passes, making Taehyung fall sideways off his broom.
You gasp and shout out his name as he hangs from his broom. At this time, Bullens beats a bludger towards Taehyung, before Taehyung can see the bludger, it hits him in the ankle. His face contorts in pain as he drops his bat but a Gryffindor chaser grabs it from underneath before it falls to the ground. She flies back up to hand him the bat and use her broom to lift his lower body up so he can sit upright on his broom again. He thanks her and she nods before she zooms off.
That chaser that knocked him off threw the quaffle at the Gryffindor goal post but Seokjin is able to catch it in time. His handsome face is contorted as he throws the quaffle as hard as he can as it bounces off the chaser’s head and into a Gryffindor chaser’s arms.
For the rest of the game, you can’t focus on the game anymore. Your eyes focus on Taehyung, Bullens, and that Slytherin chaser.
Yoongi caught the snitch. Despite the Slytherin’s victory, the first thing Yoongi did when his team land on the field is grab and throw the Slytherin chaser onto the ground. The rest of the team had to pull him back from beating him up.
“Not only is he my friend, but I will not tolerate anyone who tarnishes the Slytherin house by acting so despicable. Laps around outside the Quidditch field. 20. Don’t even think about walking 3 feet away from this field until you’re done, unless you want to be off the team. I want you to know what it feels like to have your feet give out.” Yoongi seethes with anger as he points to the exit. Bullens clutches onto his bleeding nose and the chaser at his bruised cheek as they run off.
Yoongi sees you coming in and he walks away from the team to go over to you as you two run off to the Gryffindor gate at the field to see how Taehyung is doing.
Once you get there, his other friends are already there. To both your surprise, he’s laughing as he pats Jimin’s hand that’s on his knee.
“It’s not that bad.”
“Not bad? You’re on an infirmary stretcher!” Namjoon protests.
“Seokjin’s just over-careful to call Madam Pomfrey. I can probably walk there.”
“Is that right?” Seokjin crosses him arm. Taehyung gives him a boxy grin and makes grabby hands towards Seokjin, “I’m just letting you guys know that you don’t need to worry about me. I’m grateful that I don’t have to walk.”
“Uh-huh.” Seokjin cocks an eyebrow.
The boys all help carry his stretcher out of the Quidditch field as you trail after them.
“I feel like you’re all pallbearers for me right now.” Taehyung laughs.
“Oh, shut up. Patients should save their breath.” You flick his forehead.
At this time, Bullens and the chaser had just come around their second lap. Fire burns up from your toes to your head when you see them and you grab Taehyung’s bat that’s lying on his stomach.
As they run towards you guys, you walk closer to meet them a fraction of the way and start beating the both of them with the bat.
“What. The. Hell. Is. Wrong. With. You. Two?!!! You two should know better. How dare you call yourself a Slytherin? You’re not worthy if you resort to such underhanded ways to win. That’s not way of a Slytherin!” You continue to yell out profanities until you feel hands grabbing you by the arms.
“Y/N! Y/N! Stop, they still need to finish their laps.” Jimin pulls you away from the two boys. The boys had put down Taehyung’s stretcher to hold you off, well except Yoongi, who still has his arms crossed, glaring at the boys.
“Screw the laps. They need a beating.”
“I think the laps are good enough. Especially after your beating.” Yoongi smirks and nods over to them so you look over to look more closely at your work. Bullens used to only have a bloody nose and the chaser only had a bruised cheek. Now the chaser’s head is swollen and he’s rubbing his arm. Bullens has two black eyes and he’s clutching to both his stomach and his nose.
“You still have 18 more laps. I suggest you get going before you miss supper.” Yoongi commands.
“Yoongi, come on! We need to go to the infirmary now too! We can’t do your laps.”
“I don’t care, she didn’t beat your legs. I gave you an order. Whatever Y/N did to you was outside of anyone’s prediction. As far as I can tell, you still have my order to follow. Go. You can go to the infirmary afterwards.” Yoongi points as they both grumble and get up. The rest of you go on your way.
“I’m still confounded by their actions. How dare they act so appallingly?” You can’t stop your anger even when Taehyung finally settled in an actual infirmary bed. Seokjin and Hoseok took you outside of the infirmary to calm down as Madam Pomfrey took a look at Taehyung.
“Y/N, do you know that Moreau likes you?” Seokjin asks you about the chaser.
“Moreau? No. He’s never spoken to me in his life. And why does that matter? What makes him think that hurting my friend would ever help his case? I will never befriend, much less date, someone who doesn’t think through like that and acts so stupidly.” You threw your hands up.
“Kind of like Taehyung?” Hoseok asks you.
“No, Taehyung is an honorable guy, still. Moreau acts out of reasons beyond me and acts in such a way that puts a bad name to Slytherin. Taehyung is a reckless adventurer, but he’s still brave, noble, chivalrous, and daring. He might not think things through all the time, but he doesn’t act on his recklessness until he collects the right information to go about, and that’s why I’m there for him. At least he can be a true Gryffindor; that merits him credit.” You blew your hair out of your face and shake your head as you look down over the stairwell balcony.
Seokjin and Hoseok look at each other with a grin on both their faces. You know what they were thinking, what they were insinuating. But all of that is beyond your concerns. Taehyung is your friend, and Moreau’s jealousy for whatever he sees in you and Taehyung is beyond you. You don’t have to explain yourself. You tap on their arm and have them move out the way.
“Come on, let’s see what Madam Pomfrey has to say about Taehyung.”
“Not bad, not bad at all. Just overnight, and you’ll be well enough to make it to first period tomorrow.” Madam Pomfrey pats Taehyung on the shoulder and moves out of the way for the rest of you to crowd around his bed. He grumbles about hoping to skip out tomorrow.
“Don’t complain. It’s a good thing it’s not that bad.” You smack him on the arm. He salutes you, “Yes, m’am.”
“You better listen to Y/N, Taehyung, or else she’ll beat you with the beater bat.” Jungkook laughs. You glare up at him.
“Yeah, Y/N, who knew you had it in you. They’re probably in worse state than Taehyung now.” Namjoon joins in Jungkook’s chuckles.
“Hey, Y/N, can you hit my ankle too? Just enough for me to stay in for a week.” Taehyung hands you his bat and wiggles his eyebrows at you.
You grab the bat and lightly tap his head.
“What the hell, Tae? No chance. And anyways, if you have to stay here for a week, what happens to your plans for swimming with the giant squid this weekend? You don’t want to be bedridden for a week.” You frown at him and he returns one to you, “You’re right. I want to feed him. What do giant squids eat again?”
“Worms and small shellfish.”
“Well, I mean, he’s giant. Any shellfish to him is small.” Taehyung shrugs.
“Shrimp, Taehyung. He’ll eat shrimp, clams, and other mollusks.” He nods at you.
“Well, we’ll leave you two now. Supper is soon. We’ll visit you afterwards.” The boys wave bye to Taehyung and looks at you to see if you’ll join them. You shake your head and they wave bye to you too.
“Moreau and Bullens have such nerve.” You huff as you sat down next to Taehyung.
“You’re not over it, yet? Come on, Y/N. It’s over. They’re battered, bruised, and probably exhausted and passed out outside the field by now.” He pats your hand that’s next to his.
“Seokjin tells me that Moreau likes me. He’s an idiot if he thinks hurting you will make me notice him in any good light.” Taehyung looks at you and smiles, “I know he likes you.”
“So stupid.” Taehyung just smiles at you.
“I’m actually surprised that you didn’t hit a couple bludgers back at them.”
“Why? I don’t need to. Seokjin hit Moreau’s head, Yoongi made them do laps, and you hit them enough for me. A smart man doesn’t need to even lift a finger when he’s got friends like you guys.”
“How clever of you.” You squint at him, marking that bit of Slytherin in him.
“I’m just a smart man.” Taehyung grins.
“Smart boy.” You stand up and pat his head. He stops your hand from rubbing his head.
“I’m a man.”
“You’re 16. If you were a man, you wouldn’t have to defend yourself.” You flick his forehead with your other hand.
He tugs your scarf to pull you closer to him, “You’ll see. One day, you’ll say your friend is a smart man.”
You tug your scarf away from his grasp and lightly smack him with it, “It’s supper time. Enjoy your hospital gruel.” Taehyung moans at the thought of his hospital food as you laugh. You walk out of the infirmary with steady steps, but you’re still flustered at how close he pulled you. Not because there’s anything between you guys…it’s just, you’re just usually not that close, you know?
Edit: Tae is not 14, he's 16. Sorry

Over time, you catch yourself being more relaxed with Taehyung more than anything. Your guard is down because you trust him enough now. What do you trust him with? That part of you that is actually a lot like him.
You can’t tell whether it’s always been there and he’s just bringing it out of you, or it’s because he influences you enough that you start to seem more like him.
What’s similar? There’s a spark of creativity and spontaneity.
“Hurry up, Y/N, This is Yoongi’s patrolling corridor. He’s a fast walker.” Taehyung hisses at you behind him. You huff as you reach to his back, leaning forward with him to check the coast is clear. Your cheek is just brushing his cloak. He swiftly moves back, which makes you press your cheek against his shoulder as he pushes you behind him. You grumble as you rub your cheek, “Watch it.”
“Sorry.”
You both check again for the coast is clear and speed walk down the hall. You two are almost at the end of the hall and you hear sounds again. This time, it’s footsteps.
You take Taehyung’s hands and have him hold on you as you point your wand up and do a silent spell, lifting the both of you up and land on a flat surface above the arch. It’s not necessarily meant to hold up two student’s weight, so you keep yourself slightly afloat, with the surface just to be your safeguard.
Yoongi is below you guys, passing by the corridor as swiftly as you both have anticipated. As he passes, the both of you don’t hesitate to lean forward and basically let your bodies swing upside down like bats to peer down through the arch to see it’s empty.
The both of you guys look at each other and grin, giggling at both of your hair stick out.
You two finally reach the Black Lake. Taehyung pulls out his thermos and rolls up his pants to walk into the Black, Lake. When he’s far enough, he dips the thermos down to get some water, as well as search blindly underwater for the squishy soil.
“Hurry up.” You put your hand down and swipe water at him. He looks at you with an incredulous look and you couldn’t help but giggle.
He takes his hand and swoops even more water at you but you easily form a quick shield to deflect the droplets.
“You’re awfully giddy tonight, aren’t you?” Taehyung asks as he closes the thermos and makes his way back to land. You have a brush of pine in your hand that you picked up and you brush his face the moment he reaches to you.
“Yeah, I don’t know. Maybe it’s the sneaking out. It’s exciting.”
“Right?! I’ve only ever gotten caught like twice, once by Yoongi, the other time by Namjoon. I make sure that I won’t get caught by Hoseok. Hoseok swears he will have me wear my underwear on my head as I make it back to the dorm. He’s done that to other students out of bed before.”
“I’ll make sure I stay out of his way too.” You shiver at the thought.
“Oh, he probably wouldn’t do that to you, but, yeah, still stay out of his way.”
You two make your way to the Whomping Willow and he immobilizes the tree so you can both enter in the secret passage to the Shrieking Shack.
When you two arrive, he sits down in the middle of the bedroom floor and you go grab the items you two have stored here previously for safe keeping.
This is kind of your experiment lab. Things that Taehyung wants to do, and you figure that there is merit to his theory and you’re willing to try and test it out with him.
This experiment is to see if you can create a map of the Black Lake without even fully exploring it on first perspective.
You’ve collected slivers and little chunks of flesh from all the types of creatures that lived in the Black Lake. Of course, these parts have come from previously collected inventories. The both of you agreed that this is supposed to be an exploratory experiment, and neither of you would harm another living creature to obtain your goals for this.
You two have also collected other materials that you wanted to test out your speculation of what else could be down there. Taehyung couldn’t let go of the possibilities of the mermaid’s treasure, so he includes gold in the inventory. You also want to track if there were any unknown creatures in the depths of the lake, so it took you a while to figure out a spell to do so.
Within a rectangular boundary on the floor, Taehyung dumps the wet soil from the shallows of the Black Lake in the center, and pours the lake water out of the thermos and keeps it afloat above the imminent map. You take out your inventory of creature parts, gold, and other items that you two were curious if they were in the Black Lake. You set them aside next to the map boundaries.
By the wave of your wand and a mumbled spell, the soil disperses itself from the mound and spreads itself all over the floor, settling in places, some spots with more soil than others to demonstrate the depth or shallowness of the lake. Some items on the side start to roll its way into the boundaries of the map and settle in certain areas. Stationary items were such as gold, herbs and other potion-making ingredients that can be found in water stay in one area, while creature parts such as mermaid scales, the giant squid ink, and grindylows tentacles would be moving in all sorts of places, demonstrating live-tracking of the creatures. Lastly, the water slowly drops down to the map and fills up the rest of the map.
“Yes!” Taehyung jumps up and cheers around the room, “I told you Salazar has treasure in there.”
“This is just gold. We now know there’s gold in the Black Lake. We don’t know if it’s Salazar’s treasure though.” You remind him. He quickly sits off to the side of the room and leans back on the wall, still with a giddy smile, shaped rectangular like the map.
“You’re right.” He grins anyway. He’s just happy there is something down there to explore.
You get up and walk over to slide down next to him. You rest your head on his shoulder and he rests his head on yours. You two just stare at your animated map on the floor.
Taehyung whips out his wand and charms the map to retain its shape forever and brings it over to him so he can actually hold it in his hands like a map.
“This is really cool.” He looks at the floating pieces of grindylow and mermaids quite close together while the giant squid is floating elsewhere on the map. The treasure is at a far corner of the map, but there are many mermaid scales still floating nearby.
“So when can we go explore the real thing?”
You sigh. You look over to the inactive creature parts that are still resting on the floor, indicating that there are no such creatures in the Black Lake. From what you can tell, creature-wise, the biggest threats are the guards of the treasure. The Black Lake doesn’t indicate any sentient vegetation that defends the lake either.
“When do you want to go? After this month.”
“Why? Are you…uh, in your monthly thing?” You gasp and move your head away to hit him on the shoulder, “No. And that’s none of your business. I just don’t want to go right now.” You rest your head on his shoulder again. He shrugs with his other shoulder. He knows that you are not nearly as active as he is. He takes you out in small doses at a time. And he won’t take anyone else because he always says this is something only for you two.
He feels your head starting to feel heavy, indicating your relaxed or exhausted. He puts his hand in his pocket to take out a little can of strawberries.
“Want one?” He takes a strawberry and brings it to your lips, and you open your mouth for him to feed you.
“No more. I want to go back and sleep.” He hums in agreement and snacks on the remaining strawberries before putting the can back. He nudges you to move your head off his shoulder and gets up to help you up.
“Carry me!” You make grabby hands up at him with your eyes still closed. He stares at you a bit before sighing.
He takes the map and temporarily condenses the 3D map into paper form. He rolls it up to put in his pocket. He turns around for you to jump on his back and he piggy backs you out of the Shrieking Shack.
“Why do you always smell like Kneazle’s fur?” He asks all of the sudden.
“I own one at home. I didn’t bring him because I chose my owl.”
“What?! How come you never told me? Can I come over during the summer and see him?”
“I guess.”
He groans from your weight, “If you weren’t so cute when you’re tired, I wouldn’t carry you.”
“Shut up,” You tiredly smack him on the shoulder, “If you don’t carry me, I’ll never let you near my Kneazle.”
“In that case, I’ll never let you down.”
You flick him on his head and he lets out a sound of protest, but that’s about it. Despite all the harmless banter, you couldn’t help feel that blush rise up to your cheeks. You nuzzle your cheek closer on his back as you hold tighter to him. He takes that as you making sure you didn’t fall, but there was a truth you can no longer deny.
You never acted like this with anyone: silly, playful, or cuddly in any sense of the word. You knew that Taehyung is the only one who could make you feel this way. To make you feel love.
But at the same time, you know it’s as you say “harmless banter”. He doesn’t like you like this. You can only hope that he won’t feel your silent tear moisten his robes.
“Let’s see…one frozen Ashwinder egg, turns creamy yellow. Three chopped rose thorns or more until potion turns dark purple. Four teaspoons of moonstone powder, stir until shimmery green. Seven ounces of pearl dust. Five pinches of peppermint and let it simmer until shimmery light blue. Add crushed two daisies and eight lovage together. And finally, titrate honeywater until steam is spiraling and the potion is has mother-of-pearl sheen.” Taehyung mumbles to himself as the potions class is creating the Amortentia potion individually.
This potions class is Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, so you’re not in the same class. Which sucks, because he wouldn’t have to read the potions book. All he has to do is watch you.
Nevertheless, Taehyung dutifully works on his potion in silence. Being the less-than-over-achiever, higher-than-underachiever, that he is, he’s one of the students who finishes a little before half of the students. Now that the Amortentia is finished, he looks around the room and looks at the other students who’ve finished.
All those who are finished, including his friends, Seokjin, Namjoon, and Hoseok, they are all peacefully resting their head in their hands as they loom over their Amortentia potion, smelling it like it’s a drug.
Taehyung shrugs and pulls up his own stool to loom over his own. Since he’s got time to day dream, why not do it with a nice scent.
When he finally pays attention to a whiff of his potion, he finally notices the smell all throughout the room. He smells strawberries, Kneazles fur, and fresh pine.
He snaps his head up. Luckily for him, no one else in the room is paying attention to his straightened posture.
He gets it.
At first, he thought it was simply because you two ate strawberries and you brushed his face with the pine branch last night. You smelled like Kneazles fur, but it was not quite all that you were. He thought last night’s smell was just a coincidence of events as he rested his head on yours and piggy-backed you back to the Slytherin common room.
This is exactly the same mix of scents that he smelled on your hair last night and the first moment he’s bumped into you.
A/N: Gasp! If you’ve read the previous Hogwarts AU, specifically year six, you will understand why it’s called Instinct. :)

Instinct p.4 (Finale) | Taehyung
The request
Summary line: It’s Taehyung’s instinct that you will be a very important person in his life.
Last chapter
“Tae!” You put your hands on your friend’s shoulders, making him jump in his seat, “I need your greatest strength: that storm in your brain.” You slid into the seat across from Taehyung and he greets you with a little smile, but not the rectangular one you love so much. Speaking of which, you haven’t seen it in a while now.
You can’t pinpoint the exact moment, but sometime at the end of your sixth year, Taehyung developed this habit, or so you call it.
Every time you get near him, he straightens his back like a ghost has just passed through him and he experienced some sort of shiver. You also noticed that he holds his breath for a few seconds before slowly letting it out. You weren’t sure why, you definitely don’t think you smell bad. But just in case, you bought a bucket load of new soap, perfume, lotion, deodorants, etc. Still nothing; he still straightens his back and holds his breath.
You figure, maybe it isn’t you, but you aren’t going to bring it up. Taehyung is the kind of guy who says anything that comes to his mind. So if he doesn’t tell you what was bothering him, it’s a very big deal to him. You try to respect that, as much as it might pain you that he doesn’t come to you with what’s bothering him. At least you know it isn’t traumatizing; that, you’re sure he’d tell you. You’re only hoping that time will do its work.
Right now it’s your final year, and you have potions with Taehyung this time. For your final project in this class, before the N.E.W.T.s, is to create your very own potion. To pass this project, you must create an original potion. Create a sample, demonstrate the creation, write the formula, and a paper to argue the purpose to your potion. If your potion needs an antidote, you must also create the sample and provide the formula. You and Taehyung were one of those best friends who eyeballed each other the moment you heard there is going to be partners for this project. At least from a distance, he can still be himself.
“Okay. How about…a potion that makes you lose one of your five senses?” He presents you with the idea.
“What’s the point of such potion?”
“Um…for experimental purposes? Say you wanted to experience the feeling of losing a sense? What if you wanted to stop feeling pain temporarily? You can take the potion and lose your sense of touch. You are in a loud place, you can temporarily lose your sense of hearing. You’re at your in-laws and your mother-in-law cooked some horrible chicken, you can – “
“Haha, okay, I get it. But I don’t know. I feel like we can do better than this.” You are a little unsure.
“Y/N…I…” Taehyung starts but he looks away. Could this be his smelling problem? He wants to stop smelling things?
“Look, Taehyung. I know there’s something going on, something that you’re not telling me.” You decided that even if he’s not going to tell you, you don’t want to keep acting like everything is okay, or that you don’t pick up your best friend’s feelings. He looks up at you with wide eyes.
“I’m not going to ask you what it is, and I don’t want you to feel pressured to tell me. But I do want you to know that I’m a little disappointed that you’re not telling me. I’m disappointed that you don’t think that I can help you. You’re my best friend, I’m always going to be here for you. That’s what it means to be a best friend. Whatever it is, you don’t have to go through it alone. I don’t know if the boys know about whatever you’re going through, if they do, I’m glad that at least someone knows and can try to help you.” You sigh and look down at your paper. Tears aren’t welling up, but your heart clenches like you’re crying on the inside.
“Y/N, it’s…I don’t know where to start.” You looked up to see him staring at his hands.
“It’s not you. Well, I mean, it kind of is. But it’s not your fault. You don’t even know it.” He’s talking in riddles. You feel like he wants to tell you, but the fact that he’s not… He has talked in worse riddles and normally it’s laced with excitement, and you can always understand. But not this. This is just sad. You always felt like you are one of the people who know him best, now…
“So it’s my problem, but I don’t know that it’s my problem? Did I offend you?” You probe.
“No.”
“I swear I never went behind your back on anything.”
“I know.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever broken a promise. I never told anyone your secrets.”
“I know, Y/N. You’re great. You’re a great friend. A great best friend.” He sighs. Your heart feels heavy at his last few words.
“It’s because you’re my best friend, I can’t smell you anymore.” What?
“What?!” You raise your voice because this isn’t what you expect.
“So…I smell? And…as my best friend, you want to keep being my friend. And if you can’t smell me, it’ll be easier on you to stay as my friend?” You probe and your eyebrows start scrunch together. Taehyung looks at you and your forming glare.
“Um…kind of. But not that you smell bad! You smell really good! You smell too good!”
“So you don’t want to smell how good I smell because I’m your best friend?”
“Yes!”
“You’re not making any sense! How does how good I smell influence us being best friends?” You raise your voice. You’re angry at his logic, but you can’t deny that you feel better to know that he thinks you smell good.
“Wait! No. Okay…I’ll tell you. It’s, I have this thing, okay? I smell people. Everyone has this inherent smell to them that only I can smell. When people smell good, I know it’s okay to be friends with them. When people smell bad, I know that I need to stay away from them.”
“So it’s okay to be friends with me.” Your teeth clenches when you say that, “So what’s the problem? You don’t want to be friends with me anymore? Even though I smell good and you say I’m a great best friend.”
“No, no. I want to stay friends with you. But I…I smelled your scent in my Amortentia potion I had to make last year.” The both of you were silent, just looking at each other.
“What does that mean?” You ask quietly. Your heart starts to thump.
“Well…I think that it means your scent…is very special. To me.” You bite your lip to keep from smiling. But it easily drops.
“Wait. You don’t want to smell me anymore though. Even if it’s, special, to you. You don’t like me like that.” Your tears finally start welling up and your heart is clenching harder than before as you state your last assessment of his problem.
“It’s not that I don’t like you. In fact, I like you a lot.” You stop breathing as he keeps going, “I’ve liked you since I first smelled you. But I always thought it’s just a crush; that you’re just the best smelling person I’ve ever smelled. But it’s when I created the love potion that it kind of connects to me, why you smell better to me than anyone else.”
“But I know you don’t feel the same way. I never wanted to put that pressure between us that I like you but you don’t like me back, so I figure if I would stop smelling you, it will stop reminding me that I…like you…” You have never seen Taehyung look so nervous, quiet, or embarrassed. To be honest, you never imagined he’d be so cute about this.
You get up and walk over to his side of the table. He gets up when you do and watch you stalk over to his side.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. I know you –“ Without another word, you crash your lips against his.
In an instant, something clicks in him and he pulls you so tight against him, you feel like you’re permanently stuck on him. He kisses you back as fervently as you are. Even when you try to pull away for a breath, he chases your lips as if you are an oasis in a desert.
“Wait, you like me too?” He finally pulls away and you two are gasping for air. He’s still holding you tight as if you are the only thing that grounds him from floating into space.
“Taehyung, you’re an idiot. On so many levels, I don’t know where to begin. The fact you don’t tell me your superpower, the fact that you like me, what I smell like to you, you think that I wouldn’t like you. I mean, the list goes on!” You giggle.
“Wait, how long have you liked me?” Taehyung asks. You stop your giggling.
“Probably around the past two years.”
“So why didn’t you say anything?” You blush and look down. Taehyung lifts your chin and clicks his tongue disapprovingly, “You’re an idiot too.”
A/N: it’s over! I hoped you all liked it.
To Slytherin anon (i know who you are, but just in case you want to stay anonymous on my blog as a requester): I hope this lived up to your expectations! Thanks for all your sweet messages about my progress in this story

First Impressions | Jungkook
Summary line: What is the first encounter/interaction with BTS? What were you doing that made them so interested to interact with you?
“Hyung! It’s going to be so much fun. We’ve been on this before, remember?” Jungkook rubs Hoseok’s shoulders.
“I do remember. Which is why I don’t want to go on it again.” Hoseok looks up with fear. He watches as the participants gets pulled higher and higher before being let go and flying over their heads. Back and forth. Back and forth in heights Hoseok never wants to have nightmares of, let alone dream them.
“You were able to bungee jump.” Jungkook reminds him.
“That was on camera, for our BTS Run segments. There are no cameras here.” Hoseok rubs his own arms.
Jungkook turns Hoseok around who’s in front of him in the line. The rest of the boys are going on a different ride. Hoseok backed out of that ride and Jungkook accompanied him. What Hoseok first felt grateful for, soon learned that it was a set up. Jungkook dragged him over to the freefall ride. He’s not as young as he once felt, and even if he was, he would still be too scared to go on the ride. Jungkook sees Hoseok’s infamous frown which clearly means that Hoseok is unhappy. If anyone can make a sun unhappy, it must be very serious.
“Okay, hyung. Why don’t you go find the guys, they might be off their ride now and they don’t know where we are.” Jungkook let go of his hyung and Hoseok gratefully skips out of the line like the roadrunner.
Jungkook sighs and leans forward on his elbows on the metal bar that organizes the line from chaos. He’s going soon, and he kind of starts to regret letting go Hoseok. He’s fine being independent from everyone, but it feels like a waste to bring Hoseok so far in, just so he could escape.
Someone nudges past him in the same fashion Hoseok did moments ago.
“Y/B/N! Y/B/N!” You shout for your brother who finally escapes your grasp. You drop your shoulders in disappointment. He’s supposed to be braver than you, and now look at him. Gone like the wind. You look back at your original spot. People have already filled it up, and you don’t see the point in reclaiming it anymore. Now that you’re not with your brother, you hesitate whether or not you should still do this. You want to go on this ride at least once. Your brother had been boasting about doing it with his friends once and it was nothing to him, so you asked if he could do it with you. You felt better to know someone who had done it before would be with you, and he’s your brother of all people.
But you should’ve known this would happen. Your brother is the kind of guy that gets psyched out easily; God knows how he got on the ride the first time. But you soon learned the answer. In the line, you kept asking questions to him about the ride, showing your nervousness in hopes that he’d say something that could comfort you, or at least debunk all your worries. But everything you kept spouting out without a thought soon got to him. Yeah, he’s been on the ride before…but he was peer-pressured and blacked out at the first swing. He ran faster than a jack rabbit out of that line and made you lose your place for following him.
You blow the hair out of your face and lean forward on your elbows on the metal rail. You glance at the forearms on your left in the same position as yours. You want to make a quick glance, but that plan comes to a halt when you see Jeon Jungkook staring down at you. Wearing a white shirt and a red beanie.
“You should probably take off that beanie when you get on the ride.” You gesture to his hat. He looks up even though he can only see a sliver of red.
“Right.” He takes it off.
“You don’t have to take it off now. We’ve got a while.” You laugh. He smiles sheepishly, “It’s hot anyway.” The conversation ends there. But it’s not often you get to talk to a celebrity.
“I don’t know if I want to do this anymore.” You sigh and look up above, right when a triplet of people swings by your heads with screams of terror, or excitement.
“It’s not that bad. Have you ever wanted to fly?” Jungkook asks you.
“Just like Iron Man.” You confess. He raises a corner of his lips to a smile.
“Well, this is the best way we can feel it, for now. One day, we might have jet packs, and this is just your training.” He shrugs. You smile weakly and look around him, “Where are the others?” It clicks to him that you actually know him. Early you didn’t say anything so he just figured you didn’t know him.
“They’re on another ride. Originally, I pulled Hoseok with me, but he backed out so…” He shrugs again.
“Well my brother dashed out a step behind him.”
“Yeah, I noticed.”
“…Do you want to do it with me?” You ask and peek at him. He looks down at you.
“U-um, ‘cause you know, we both lost our partners and i-it’s no fun to do it by ourselves, right? I’m not going to take advantage of you, I swear. I’m…I’m just a little nervous.” You try to convince him, but he needs no convincing.
“Sure, I’ll do this with you. I can’t leave poor ARMY unaccompanied, now can I?” Jungkook grins at you. You blush and nudge him, “Hey, we’re just two people going on a ride. You don’t have to try to flirt with me right now; you’re off-duty.”
Who says I’m doing this because I’m an idol? But he bites back his thoughts. You’re right, he’s off-duty, he doesn’t need to flirt with you. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to, because…well look at you! But to be honest, as shy as he really is, if he doesn’t flirt with you and treat you as ARMY and not just a random girl, he might not be able to have that courage to speak more than necessary, much less flirt with you as the identity of a young man rather than an idol. But since you just called him out, he doesn’t really know what to do. He scratches his head as the line keeps moving.
You two are soon the next pair to go. He signs the forms without hesitation, which you have to watch him do it, or else you’d lack the confidence to do likewise. If an idol like him will do this and not worry for his life, which is being watched almost 24/7, you shouldn’t either.
You two are strapped together tightly, all snug and fit. You feel Jungkook shifting a little, but that’s because he’s feeling a little embarrassed to be so close to you, practically joined at the hip. You suck in a deep breath as you feel tugged upward.
You whimper, but Jungkook is the only who hears you. He’s just as nervous as you, but for completely different reasons. He calms down his shaking hand before he grabs on to yours, “Don’t worry. I’m right here with you.” You finally exhale and attempt to breathe normally.
You two get higher and higher. About the halfway point of the height of the arch rig that holds up the two of you. By a very sturdy rope. With a very sturdy clip. Latching on to a very tight wrap. That wraps you and Jeon Jungkook closer than twins in their mother’s womb.
Jungkook looks down and feels adrenaline already coursing through his body. You decide to look too, because you’re probably not going to look when you two fall.
People are small. This park is small. The world is big and the sky is limitless. You smile for the first time before hearing Jungkook go, “Here we go.”
Without another warning, you two drop and so does your stomach. You scream but most of the wind cuts you off. Jungkook is right by you, screaming as well, but out of excitement.
You feel that adrenaline when you whoosh up after the lowest point and swing upward again. And there goes another fall, backwards this time.
“Here we go. Iron Man, are you ready?!” Jungkook laughs and all his teeth are showing. He outstretches both his arms in front of him. One of his hands are holding tightly onto yours, so at least one sticks out. You shake as you outstretch your other arm with him. You shut your eyes and scream and laugh at the same time when you two swing again.
“Open your eyes. Iron Man doesn’t close his eyes when he flies!” Jungkook knows that you’re closing them without even looking at you.
“A-ah.” You let out a shaky whine and open your eyes. You see your two fists in front of you and one of them is being held by a fist bigger than yours.
You start laughing. And you start laughing harder as you feel your momentum slowing down and your height decreasing.
“You’re so funny. You enjoy it at the second half, when it’s not as exciting.” Jungkook laughs at you when you two are at the end of the ride, but still lowering down onto the ground.
“That’s when it’s not as scary.” You say as the ride’s crew members help unwrap you two. You’re unsteady and your knees almost give out, but Jungkook quickly wraps his arm around your waist.
“I-I’m okay.” You shake, a little embarrassed for everyone to see you so weak.
“It’s okay. It’s normal.” Jungkook helps lead you out to the exit. You two look around once you get back out to the open grounds of the amusement park. No Hoseok or your brother in sight.
“Where are the others? We can walk over to their ride and wait for them. I’ll call my brother.” He agrees with you and you two make your way over, but you stop him about a quarter way there.
“Wait!” He halts. Are you going to throw up?
“Look!” He looks up to where you point to see a ladder game. The point of the game is to climb the slightly horizontal ropes and wood ladder to reach the top and hold your ground at the top two steps for five seconds before you get to win any prize. And those prizes are huge. It’s a tough game and there are no consolation prizes because the grand prizes are so worth it. For this game, you either get a huge, six-foot teddy bear, or an adult-sized floor pillow shaped like a stretched out square-shaped dog.
“I change my superpower. I wish I could win that ladder game every time.” You sigh longingly at the prizes.
“It doesn’t look too hard.” He remarks.
You scoff, “The only people who can do are the hosts of those games. I’ve never seen a random person actually win this.” Oh, but you shouldn’t have said that to Jeon Jungkook.
Jungkook watches as the host of the game oh-so-arrogantly climbs the ladder like these were the stairs to his own home. “Well, as a prize for you being so brave to go on the freefall, I’m going to show you something you’ve never seen before: someone winning that game.”
He leads you the side of the game and sets you down on a random ledge. He walks over to the host and puts five bucks in his hand. Jungkook tests the first step. It’s shaky and the ladder is held up on both ends under an inflatable. He clenches his teeth as he grabs a hold of the second step and puts a foot on the first one. He finally gets onto the ladder with all four limbs. He feels it out and it shakes; he’s shaking and all his muscles are trembling.
He’s not to the third step and he tumbles off the side and bounces on the inflatable.
“Next time, kid.” The host laughs and looks around, announcing the ladder game to passersby. Jungkook doesn’t look at you. Instead he gives the guy another five bucks.
“Next time is now.” He says with determination. He thinks back to how he watched the host do it and tries to imitate him. He gets to the fifth one and falls again.
After the sixth time of failing, Jungkook walks with his head down back to you and sits next to you. You rub his back, “It’s fine. You were really good. I’ve never seen anyone get to the fifth step. At most, the fourth. And I’ve only ever gotten to the third step myself.” You attempt to console him.
He’s leaning his elbows on his knees and he looks up to see that arrogant guy climb the ladder again and swing his legs off the ladder when he reaches the top. There’s a low rumbling in Jungkook’s chest and you wouldn’t have noticed if you didn’t feel that vibration from rubbing his back. You shiver.
“One more.” He gets up and goes to pay the guy five bucks. His last five bucks. You’re feeling better by now and you walk up to behind his ladder.
“Alright! You can do this! I believe in you!” You cheer him on without calling out his name, fearing that he would draw more attention than he already has.
“Go on! Alternate your hands and feet! That’s it!” You cheer, wooping for him every time he makes another step. You cheer even harder when he goes farther than he’s previously gotten. You’re jumping up and down, clapping like a mad man asking for rain.
He finally makes it to the top, but he has to hold his ground for five seconds. You see his legs trembling and his grip on the wood makes his knuckles and skin turn white.
At the fifth count, he finally lets go and slides off the side of the ladder and rolls down the inflatable towards you. You’re wooping out loud like you’re at his concert. He grins at you when you grip his arms and jump up and down.
“Congratulations dude. Take your pick.” The guy congratulates him. He gives him an impressed expression. Maybe not so arrogant after all. Jungkook wipes the sweat off his forehead with his short sleeve and looks up at the large grand prizes.
“Which one do you want?” Jungkook asks you and you look up to him in shock, “What? Me?! But you paid and you played!”
He nods and pants, “I can’t take these home anyway. We have too much stuff. Go on, I wasn’t planning on having one anyway.” You giggle and think about how stocked his home is. You look at all the prizes and point to one of the giant teddy bears, “That one.”
Jungkook gestures to the guy which teddy bear you wanted and the guy unhooks the teddy bear from it’s spot on the net. He hands it to you and you squeeze the life out of the teddy bear that’s bigger than you.
“Come on, I’ll treat you to something to eat. It’s a thank you. And besides, you’re out of money now.” You two go to a nearby food stand to grab a couple of hot dogs and a lemonade. Out of gratitude, you get an extra cotton candy for both of you to share. You two keep walking and Jungkook helps you hold your teddy bear. He has his hot dog on the other hand and using a couple fingers to grip onto the plastic bag that holds the cotton candy. You have your own hot dog and hold his drink in your hand, and the other tucked between your chest and arm, straw readily positioned for your use.
“Where to now?” He asks in-between bites and leans towards you so you can give him a sip of his lemonade.
You two go on the rides everyone else in your groups are too afraid to go on. Originally, you’d be afraid too, but after that freefall, you’re on an adrenaline high and you feel like you can take on any. It also helps that the one beside you is just as brave, if not braver.
Roller coasters, random rides, water rides, the whole nine yards. It’s by the time the sky changes colors that you decide to check your phone for time.
“Oh!” You make Jungkook halt on his tracks, “I forgot to call my brother.” You see one notification from your brother. Apparently he found a friend hours ago and told you to give him a call when you’re ready to leave.
“Brat.” You mumble. What if you were alone and lonely? But you look up at Jungkook, who’s playing with the teddy bear, and you smile.
“Come on, where is your group?” You take the teddy bear from him and he checks his phone, seeing at least two calls from every member.
“Oops.” He dials Namjoon’s number, “Hey…yeah, sorry, I went off to play elsewhere.” He looks at you and grins, “Okay, where do you want to meet up?…Fountain at the entrance. Got it. See you later.” He hangs up and takes your teddy bear back and puts it on his back, as if he’s piggybacking your teddy bear. You two laugh and talk on the way to the entrance of the park. Even on the way, you two buy a random light stick from a nearby stand.
You two finally reach the entrance to see six boys huddled in a circle; half of them sitting on the ledge of the fountain, and half are standing up.
“Jungkook!” Jimin calls him over and you two walk over.
“Hey…Jungkook…” Namjoon looks between the two of you.
“Hi, I’m Y/N.” You greet them and they greet you back. Jungkook clicks that this is the first time he’s heard your name too. It’s an interesting, not necessarily uncomfortable, silence that graces over the eight of you, but only Jungkook starts to feel embarrassed.
“Here you go.” He hands you the bear.
“Actually, we’re leaving now. Are you leaving too, Y/N? We’ll walk you to the car. You shouldn’t carry that big thing.” Seokjin smiles warmly. You agree and call your brother to tell him to meet you at the car before you all make it out of the amusement park. Seokjin makes Jungkook carry the bear again, not like he really minds though. You all finally make it to the car and Jungkook helps you stuff it in the back of your car.
“Alright. It was great to meet you all. Thanks for…today.” You smile, not sure if Jungkook takes today the same way you do. They wave and leave you to sit in the car and wait for your brother. You already convinced them that you didn’t want them there if he shows up, in case he has his friends too.
Jungkook answers the bare minimum to their every question on the way back to their car. His ears are red and everyone is snickering. After his every “yes” and “no”, they have to ask further questions to get more details.
“Okay. So let’s get the story straight. You two were alone on the line to the freefall, so you two decided to fly together because she was scared. You even held hands on the ride. Then she felt weak when she got off the ride and you held onto her while you two were walking. And then she wanted the bear. And she taunted that no one has done it before, so our little Jungkookie decides to be a competitive hero and spend all his money on the game to win her the bear. And then she treated you hot dogs and lemonade.”
“- And the cotton candy. Don’t forget the cotton candy.”
“Right. And the cotton candy. And then you two went to all the different rides, practically claiming territory everywhere and not even once did we even fate to bump into each other. And you were having so much fun, you forgot us, or even call us; making us worried sick, but not too much because we were on rides too. Until she remembered the time and got in touch with her brother. And she’s the one who reminded you to call us. And then you two bought light sticks and finally met us all at the entrance at the end of the day.” Hoseok lists off everything on the agenda that happened for Jungkook. Jungkook feels like there are some holes in the story, with the way he said things, but he doesn’t care enough to clarify them, “Um, yeah. Basically.”
All the boys get to the car and starts to bust out laughing. Leaning on the car, clutching their stomachs, and full on dropping to the floor for laughing so hard. Jungkook shifts his feet and looks down embarrassed.
“Jungkookie, do you even hear us? Do you even know what happened?” Jungkook looks up at Yoongi whose gummy smile is on a full-on break out.
“What?”
“Jungkook. You went on a date.”

Well done!
