Hi it's me Orion. For some reason I ended up rewatching yyh series while stuck at home.

Main Four: How They Drive

(These are just HC’s; we do not condone, in any way, any manner of reckless driving, especially while intoxicated. Please drive safely!)

Yusuke:

Constantly blasting music, but that’s not the issue

Honestly no one knows how he’s not dead (again) with how he drives

The definition of reckless driving

Always at least 15-20 over the speed limit, if not more

One ticket away from losing his license

Traffic lights? Stop signs? What’re those?

He’s certainly never heard of them

Only a little more careful with the gang in the car

Kuwabara refuses to be in a car Yusuke’s driving

Kuwabara:

Much more careful than Yusuke

Can be a bit reckless when his buddies are with him

Always uses his seatbelt

Occasionally runs a stop sign when he’s not paying attention

Has only gotten one ticket

Plays music when alone, can get loud with it

Always sings along

The. Most. Careful. Driver when Yukina or Shizuru is with him

The other three will willingly ride in a car with him

Well, Hiei will complain but Kuwabara just throws whatever’s in his cup holder at him

Kurama:

Objectively the best driver out of the four

The type of driver who always makes his passengers wear seatbelts

Plays music when alone, but never very loudly

Has never gotten a ticket, but was pulled over once

Because a very drunk Yusuke was trying to jump out of the back window

Very careful, always pays attention to traffic lights and signs

Has driven while intoxicated, and made it home safely

But he’s always the first to offer a ride for any friends who’re wasted

The other three ride with him without complaints

Even though Yusuke grumbles when Kurama makes him wear a seatbelt

Hiei:

Another one who doesn’t follow the rules of the road

Not in a rebellious way like Yusuke, but just because he doesn’t give a damn

The only one who doesn’t listen to music

Still a bit careful, mainly because Kurama taught him how to drive

Goes from reckless to Most Careful when Yukina’s with him

Always going 20+ over the speed limit otherwise

Has gotten three tickets, and had the fines increased after arguing with the officers

Kuwabara also refuses to ride with him

But he’s Yusuke’s go-to when he’s wasted and can’t drive himself home

Drove intoxicated and crashed, after being bet that he couldn’t drive after drinking Ogre Killer

The next demon world tournament is fast approaching and the gang is back on training, but Kurama seems to have a special little guest who wants to join him!

It's been a while since my last post, have been busy on real life with holiday approaching and many other stuff! But guess who's busy too? Kurama and Jr. are back!

Botan!

Behind the scene:

Botan is always the one most excited when one of her friends stars at the cover of the renowned publication, but when turn came up she actually find it awkward and she froze up in front of the camera. She was trying really hard but the staff noticed her having a hard time, so they let her take a break while they take the photo of Kuwabara and Hiei instead.

The girls comforted her and told her she was really pretty, and they know she can do it. Botan thanked them but deep inside their words actually had the opposite effect and somehow made her feel even more pressured.

She was really nervous when the guys finished their turn and she had to return to the stage. As she approach the guys who were on their way down Kuwabara pat her on the shoulder and told her if someone like the shrimp can do it then she definitely can. Hiei on the other hand retaliated with 'If you are worried of looking ugly, I can assure you the oaf already got that completely covered. So get your head out of the gutter so we can get this cursed photoshoot over woman.'

Kuwabara got offended as usual and told Hiei that is not the way to comfort a woman. Seeing the familiar sight of her friends bickering with each other, some of the tension she was feeling dissipated and a soft smile grazed her lips. Hiei's brand of comforting might not be the conventional one, but at that time it was exactly what she needed. Unknown to her the photographer is capturing every moment.

Later that day as the staff is selecting the final photo they will use for the cover, a red haired man sneaks his way into the photographer and chief editor's office. He places a box of cheese cake beside the computer monitor. He had to take a half day at work today just to line up for 3 hours to acquire the confection.

"Kurama in case you haven't realized it yet you won't be able to bribe your way out of this magazine business."

"Good evening to you too, Elia. And here I am going through so much trouble just to get Hiei to participate. Guess not all hard work gets rewarded."

Looking at the screen he saw the picture of Botan softly smiling while looking at Kuwabara and Hiei. It was a picture taken without his friends noticing. He takes a seat next to Elia.

"Your friends are all very interesting people." Elia leans her head to his shoulder the exhaustion from today's photoshoot finally catching up on her.

"So I really can't get exempted? I can-"

"No."

For this month we're featuring our favorite grandma in her younger days!

Genkai!

Behind the scene:

Genkai won't participate in the nonsense photoshoot they have going but for the sake of the magazine's beneficiaries she allowed them to use one of her existing photos!

Botan and the girls looked through her photos (she surprisingly have quite a lot of photos though they were mostly candid shots probably taken by her former teammates).

The person behind the camera in this photo was younger Toguro.

Between Humans and Demons

Summary: A s Kuwabara gets older, he starts to notice the differences between himself and his demonic friends. A harrowing moment reminds him, that the differences don’t really matter.

He closed his eyes.

The sound of metal wrapping around metal flooded his ears.

Even with his eyes closed, he was dizzy; could tell that he was rotating in the air, as the collision broke all around him.

Something shattered and sharp, sprayed against his face and dug into his skin, either falling away or embedding into his face. 

Another crunching sound, and then Kuwabara was hanging suspended in the air, kept in his seat by the seatbelt that held him flush in place. His eyes were still closed, but they didn’t need to be open to feel the spirit of the driver, and the other two people in the car with him, snuff out. Three candles being blown out in a slow breath.

Kuwabara should have gone with them.

Somehow, Kuwabara was alive, and something told him that that was strange. That he too, should have been snuffed out.

“Kuwabara!”
