Please don't ignore this as people with mental health conditions, those in abusive environments, et cetera, who are unaware of this might panic or be in harms way.

it's looking really fucking bad. tennessee is my home. it's a beautiful state full of beautiful diverse communities. all of us, cis or trans will be effected by this negatively. if you're not fighting to protect trans southerners then you need to start.

Today has been extra rough. My best friend is M2F. She called in tears earlier. The conversation we had several weeks ago took hold. She’s terrified people will start “hunting trans people” if what the police are saying is true.

I had paltry words today. I couldn’t do much more than listen. I couldn’t tell her it won’t happen. That, alone, is terrifying.

The narrative is being pushed so hard and there’s little counter-messaging.

I don’t understand why we aren’t in the streets. Kids all over Florida are staging a mass walkout this week in support of trans rights.

Why aren’t we in the streets demanding change? One coordinated strike, across the country, all at once. Millions of people are angry about today. Yet we sit idle.
