Mafia AU

But FeDex.

Fitz is a mafia boss who’s all stone cold and well… a mafia boss.

And Dex is his soft boyfriend; who is the only one that can get Fitz to not be so Mafia bossy :) (I can words)

Someone should write a Sokeefe fic where Keefe has hanahaki. It could be written that only empaths get it, because intense emotions and stuff. Think about it. Out of anyone in KOTLC, Keefe would be the one to get it. The girl he's in love with is crushing hard on his best friend and he just sits and watches. We all know that he wouldn't tell her because he doesn't want to add to her guilt or for her to "fake" love him so he wouldn't die. But he also wouldn't get the surgery because, even though it's literally killing him, he wouldn't want to lose what he feels for Sophie.

I can just imagine him in the healing center lying on a bed, flowers and petals all around the trash can by his bed, a soft smirk on his face, knowing that whatever his mother had planned for him wouldn't happen, when he feels the most intense anger he's ever gotten.

Sophie bursts into the room, Sandor right behind her, tears streaming down her face shouting, "You were going to die without saying goodbye or anything?!?" And he'd cough up a bunch of petals before trying to smirk.

"Awh, you gonna miss me, Foster?" Then, he hacks up a whole flower. "Dang, that's a lot of concern and anger you're giving me, here."

"Are you seriously trying to joke while you're literally dying?"

"I'm sorry, Sophie." The girl looks surprised at the use of her first name.

"Is there nothing Elwin can do to heal you?" She grips his hand with both of hers. Keefe doesn't look at her.

"Nothing I'm willing to do." Keefe grimaces as fear enters it's way into Sophie's emotions.

"Please, Keefe." Her tears fall at a faster pace than before. "I can't lose you, too."

"I'm-" Before he can apologize again, Ro bursts in.

"Hunkyhair, if you don't tell her right this second, I'm going to." Keefe shakes his head.

"Tell me what?" Sophie looks back and forth between the two. "Keefe."

"Your boy here has been-" The ogre princess starts before Keefe cuts her off.

"Ro, don't." Sophie glares at him.

"No, Ro, keep going. If you won't tell me, someone has to."

"Ro-" "He's been in love with you for years and now he's dying over it."

Sophie blinks.

"I'm sorry, Sophie." Keefe sighs, coughing up two more flowers. "I didn't want you to feel guilty for not feeling the same."

"Oh, you idiot!" Keefe's eyes furrow in confusion before Sophie leans in and places her lips on his.

"What?" The blonde reaches up and strokes Keefe's dazed face. "But what about Fitzy?"

"I don't like Fitz anymore." She admits. "I haven't for a while. I love you, Keefe."

"Are you sure? You don't have to pretend-"

"I'm not pretending. Can't you feel it?" Of course he can feel it. He's always felt it, but he never thought it was for him. "I love you."

Keefe smirks a little. "I guess no one can resist the Keefester." Sophie swats his arm, laughing.

"Well, I mean, Grady probably can." Keefe groans.

"I wonder which would be more painful. Death by flowers growing in your lungs or by overprotective dad?"

"Let's not find out." Sophie brushes away the petals that didn't make it to the bin and sits on the edge of the bed. "I can't believe that you were going to die because you liked me."

"Love" Keefe corrects. "I would have gladly died loving you than living in a world where I didn't."

"Alright, this is getting too sappy for me." The teenagers jump at the reminder of the ogre. "Yeah, I'm here. I'm gonna go find the doctor man and tell him that you're not dying from flowers anymore."

"Where is he, anyway?" It just occurred to Sophie that Elwin hasn't been around.

"He went to Splendor Plains to try and find another way to cure me."

"Looks like he can stop looking." The two smile at each other.

"Yeah, looks like it." Keefe scoots over on the bed and lifts up the blanket that his legs were under. Sophie slides in closer to him and pulls the blanket to cover herself, too. They shift to a laying position. She snuggles into his side and tucks her head under his chin. He wraps his arms around her, never wanting to let go.

That's how Ro and Elwin found the two: asleep and wrapped in each other's arms.

Lol, this was supposed to be a suggestion for someone to write it, not me writing it. Oops.
