BLURRY LINES

*＊✿❀LINE 34 : THE BIG REVEAL❀✿＊*

"y/n?" taehyun called.

"yes?" y/n cursed at herself for being so distracted, she had been looking at her phone for a few minutes now.

"you wanna listen to prodsputnik's twitter space, dont you?"

"fuck, sorry. no, no. dont get mad, we're on a date, i'm not supposed to get distracted by something else," she said, putting her phone away after putting it on silent.

he wasn't mad, just amused at how excited she seems, unable to stay put.

"it's totally fine, y/n. let's just listen to it together. if anything, i would wanna tune in to my favourite artist's first twitter space too!" he assured, wrapping her cold hand with his warm one, intertwining them after.

"are you sure?"

"hundred per cent," taehyun brought their intertwined hands to his lips as he kissed her knuckle softly, a gesture he tends to do whenever he's around her.

"i love you!!" she squealed.

"hold on, im gonna go grab your earphone and mine," she got up a little bit too eagerly, too quick to even notice the red tint on taehyun's cheeks.

it's not y/n's first time saying i love you, but every single time sure feels like the first time. how his cheeks heated up, heart skipping a beat and even the damn butterflies in his stomach.

"1 minute left!!!" y/n tapped taehyun's laps excitedly as soon as she returned.

y/n was too busy setting up her earphone that she failed to notice that taehyun had started the space as prodsputnik, the said man taking in a shaky breath before starting to speak.

"hello gravities, this is prodsputnik. i know i just released a new song, 0X1=LOVESONG, but im not singing that tonight. i'm singing a song i wrote a few weeks ago, a resultant of multiple sleepless nights, staying up thinking of the right words to say to someone i love so dearly. To my muse, the girl who's in front of me, this one's for you,"

at this point, y/n was just staring at taehyun with her mouth agape, almost shitting herself at the reveal. sure, she had some suspicions here and there, but it doesn't make it any less shocking. taehyun felt like he could throw up of nervousness, but still locked eyes with her nevertheless. it wasnt hard to get lost and find comfort in her eyes anyways.

"thank you all for tuning in to my first ever space, i promise i'll sing LOVESONG tomorrow, the same time. right now, i have to talk to my girl,"

y/n felt dizzy, the good kind of dizzy. swooned by his voice, the lyrics, and the fact that taehyun called her 'my girl'? everything is too perfect and too overwhelming she decided to just follow what her heart desires, tackling taehyun to the ground, seconds after the poor boy ended the space.

"could you be any more perfect?" she asked, more to herself. her fingers parted the front part of his hair, showing more of the eyes she had fell in love with.

"so you're not mad?"

"no, why should i? i respect your decision on keeping your identity a secret, even if all my tweets on kingsputnik are haunting me right now,"

"have i told you that i love you,"

"maybe, like hundred times already," she shrugged.

"brat," he chuckled, wrapping his arms around y/n's body, pulling her body towards him, making her lay on top of him.

y/n just laughed, basking in taehyun's physical affection that never failed to make her heart jump.

"i have thousands of questions right now," she said. "but that can wait, i just want to kiss you right now," y/n leaned in, just for her lips to meet the air. taehyun had dodged her kiss by moving his head to the side.

"whoa, wait a minute miss impatient," he said, snickering at her eagerness.

"before that, i need to ask you a question. do you wanna be my girlfriend?"

"oh come on! you stopped me from kissing you just to ask that question?" she whined.

"of course the answer is yes!" she finally answered, making the boy smile.

y/n had leaned in again, this time meeting taehyun's lips for real.

SYNOPSIS :

if there's anything y/n's good at, it's differentiating her feelings between love or hate. it's so distinct, she really doesn't get it when people say they have mixed feelings about something, cause to her, love is LOVE and hate is, well... HATE. LOVE is like her feelings for prodsputnik, an anonymous soundcloud artist she adores which she may or may not have a stan account for. HATE is like her feelings towards her roommate, kang taehyun. she even claimed that researchers are bullshitting when they say there's a thin line between hate and love. but what if y/n figures out that prodsputnik and kang taehyun is the same person? will the line between love and hate stay thick and clear as fuck (y/n's words) to y/n or will it get blurry?
