Thylacoleo Carnifex Enters The Arena! Thylacoleo, Commonly Called The "marsupial Lion" Was The Largest
Thylacoleo carnifex enters the arena! Thylacoleo, commonly called the "marsupial lion" was the largest carniverous marsupial to have ever lived, and could reach about the same weight class as an African lion! Some of it's closest relatives are the kangaroos and wombats. It has a series of adaptations suggesting it stems from an arboreal ancesstor, and it may have evolved carnivory from a mostly herbivorous diet along its evolutionary tree. It actually doesn't have usable canine teeth like most carnivorous mammals do, instead it used its well developed incisors, possibly in combination with its meathook "thumb" claws to deliver a fatal bite to the neck or back of the skull of its prey. . Commission done for @caitlinmillerm I hope you enjoy! And do share if you're painting it or do something fun with him! If you are interested in a commission, contact me through DMs😊 (cannot promise i can do anything until August due to work, but we can talk and plan out the details) #miniature #artistofinstagram #artistoninstagram #paleoartist #sculptor #sculpture #supersculpy #paleoart #thylacoleo #thylacoleocarnifex #maquette #creatureart #creaturedesign #creaturedesigner #arksurvival #dinosaurart #iceage #iceageanimal #marsupial #marsupialion #commission #art #jurassicworld #jurassicpark #toymaker #prehistoricanimal https://www.instagram.com/p/BxTN-SAl6wr/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ougp2n01xyi1

Online Drawing Workshop by Steve Ahn FALL SESSION - October 15th ~ December 10th, 2019 Intensive Basic Course - Character/Human/Anatomy Drawing Class
Enrollment is now open at goo.gl/j22rP6 Â
I’m hosting an 8-week Online Drawing Workshop - Intensive Basic Course, where I’ll share basic drawing skill set that I’ve earned from past 10 years of experience in the animation industry, working on shows like Voltron Legendary Defender, Avatar : The Legend of Korra, TMNT, Ben 10 Series and many more.
From basic human anatomy, figure, acting, gesture, expression, design, developing own style to many more depth studies of the character drawing will be discussed. Students will put under critical thinking on drawing and design and will develop a basic drawing skill set throughout this workshop.
This workshop is for those of you who are pursuing an animation career in the animation and game industry as a storyboard artist, character designer, visual development artist, character animator, comic artist and more. Those who want to strengthen basic drawing techniques. Those who are art students. Those who want to work in action-adventure shows, feature films, and game. Especially those who live far away from the Hollywood animation and game industry, and have struggled to find an opportunity to learn.
Each week, students will have an access to watch my video lecture for studying and have an exercise based on the topic shared during the workshop, sharpen basic drawing techniques. There’ll be total 8 sessions (3 hours per session) and 8 exercises. Review and critiques in video format will follow.
