Prince--esque - Hello Hello! - Tumblr Blog
I have seen art of the collector but where is the love for the humble fisherman
I fucking love this game because at first it's very creepy and mysterious what's going on but it definitely gets to a point where it's like
Dredge-inspired embroidery I did last month !
I used some glow-in-the-dark yarn where I could. It's my first time doing something more "artsy".
(Dredge is a cosy horror fishing game, it's great, you should go play it)
playing dredge. sailing around at night. see another ship on the water blaring its horn and beelining at me. think wtf and start heading back to the dock bc im not prepared for whatever this interaction is gonna be. the ship is much faster than me but thats ok, im pretty close to shore.
ship gets within viewing distance. the horn sounds kinda off. the lights in the windows don't look much like windows any more. there's a weird and distinctly un-ship-like shape under the water.
it's not a fucking boat. it's a fish pretending to be a boat. a big fucking fish chasing after me trying to trick me into thinking it's a fellow fisherman. when i get into range of the dock it shies away from the light and darts back underwater so fast it's like it was never there. i close the fucking game and never open it again.
Bits about the opening mission of Revenant that I absolutely love:
-Crow opening it talking about how he wants this to be a diplomatic mission where he proves that hunters can build bridges, not just burn them, and then the mission fucking ends with the bridge of the Helm getting blown open and the whole damn thing crash-landing into the Tower
-Failsafe taking one metaphorical look at this whole crashing thing and calmly taking over bc this is not her first rodeo. Rip Failsafe's new chassis it was fun while it lasted
-Getting to actually walk amongst House Salvation and fight alongside them!! I've wanted a begrudging alliance with them since I first started playing during Beyond Light and I'm happy that we're getting it. Strained political ties my beloved
-More Eliksni words!! I love the way the language sounds, so I hope we can get more of it. The conlang folk deserve to eat good this episode
-Everything about showing up to fight alongside of Eramis, and her sorta just begrudgingly accepting it. Like you can practically feel her desire to be a proud bitch struggling with her desire and her responsibility to keep her people safe, and her pride is failing. I love her so fucking much
-Eramis not giving in bc of her pride and her disdain for humanity until Crow mentions that Eido would be sad if she didn't come with. She is SO soft on this kid, I just know that she used to be the type of parent who'd bitch about her children whining that they want something only to turn right around and give it to them later. Granted, with Eido its not hard to not want to dissapoint her, but the fact that she's such a deeply caring person at heart under her wall of thorns is just. It gets to me, man
-I also love Crow acting as a diplomat, bc again, he's doing what I've been itching to do since I figured out what Salvation's whole deal was. Put those uwu softboy powers to good use prettyboy
-Eramis implying that she trusts us (the guardian) to ensure that Crow sticks to his word had me like '!!!' bc it genuinely wasn't something that I expected, especially after Ana's stunt on the Seraph Station. I think the fact that she's fought us so many times and has seen us fighting to keep House Light safe has convinced her that the Young Wolf is a pretty straightforward fellow who follows the honour-rules of her people, while she hasn't had the proof that other humans are the same. I think that's something that she respects about us, at least, even if she still very much does not like us. I mean, she also could have been speaking sarcastically but given how she talks to us later on I don't think that's the case
-(Granted, I also think that Eramis is aware of her crimes and feels like she needs to be punished for them in some capacity, and we're an outlet for that, but humanity also isn't exactly her first choice. Shes a deeply proud individual on account of her suffering so many indignities over her long lifespan, so if she's gonna choose to work with us, she has to be clear about how unhappy she is with all of it)
-(also who's responsible for repeatedly scaling her up in bossfights and then shrinking her right afterwards. Bungie???)
-Crow fucking pointing his dinky little Hawkmoon at Eramis's head. I know that it has paracausal shots and that Crow is a guardian, but it's comically small next to her and got a good laugh out of me
-When Fikrul smashes into the helm and we're being blown about like pieces of debris (I'm ignoring the fact that Crow can apparently speak in the vaccum of space bc idk what the fuck is happening there), the fact that Eramis just nonchalantly braces for impact with all her arms cuffed up implies that she's done this many different times before, and I love that little bit of detail. Fuck yeah more alien space pirate action, I always am down for that sorta shit
I put this thing on your dash to exude foul vapors
So ummmm I actually had a fanfiction wip of Athrys hearing of Eramis‘ location and traveling to Sol, only to unfortunately arrive at the same time as the incident that causes Eramis to „always look scorn in the eye“ occurs and well… let’s just say Eramis‘ trauma grows a thousandfold
I do not think I have the strength to write it anymore and I don‘t think we all have the strength to read it with what’s going on in Revenant
I love that Revenant is pulling on so many strings so gracefully. We left so much unanswered after defeating the Witness, and now we are addressing all those old questions.
The lore in this episode is already incredible! I'm yet to keep on playing more activities and such, but just from the things I've read and played it's so much fun.
It feels a bit cathartic, too.
whoa cool i-
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST DESTINY 2
Some lore tabs that killed me dead and I'll never recover from them. Seasonal gauntlets are about Zavala realising and coming to terms with the fact that he is mortal and has mortal pains. Also, finally, the full confirmation that Guardians resume aging when they lose their Light:
He moved his chair back and considered his knee. What had he done to hurt it? He had not exercised yet, he had not gone on his usual patrol… he had done nothing. Why would a knee hurt from doing nothing? The riddle dissolved. He was starting to age.
But also:
He allows a hand to rest on his aching knee. To venerate it. He feels it solid under his palm. It is his, it is real, it is both portentous and precious. He is aging. He will age. An absurd and joyous thought warms in his chest: how fortunate, to have lived long enough to grow old. How invaluable, to make the space between himself and the horizon matter. How much time is left? And is it best spent with his knees under a desk?
Genuinely crying over this. How fortunate to live long enough to grow old. Man. Also at the end he asks for a break for one week and Ikora offers him two weeks.
The next one just... I have no words. It has to be read in full. It's about Saint going through it, having memories of his past and also dealing with the guilt with what's happening to Mithrax. Truly every sentence in this one is a gutpunch all the way to the end. Excerpts:
The hum of activity was overpowering yet reassuring to Saint-14 as he stopped to watch an older Eliksni expertly weave fabric on a well-worn loom. The woven symbols were unique and unfamiliar to the Exo, but he watched in awe as an iridescent glow emerged within the vibrant cerulean cloth. Fit for a Kell, Saint mused to himself— Breath caught in his throat; hands shook— Flashes of memory echoed in his mind. All he could feel in this moment… was shame.
Saint remembering his crimes against the Eliksni and feeling shame.
He hurried past the weaver and through the crowd, landing squarely in front of a tea stand, a sample placed in his hand before he could open his mouth to refuse. He looked down. The opaque liquid steamed in his cup, pungent and medicinal. Like distilled Darkness, Saint realized— Breath caught in his throat; hands shook— Flashes of memory filled his sight. All he could feel in this moment… was sadness.
Tea reminded him of all the stuff with Osiris and he is not processing it well. I say excerpts but I have to put the rest entirely because like. Okay.
Saint placed his favorite keepsake, a small stuffed bear, on the Kell's throne. Gently, he adjusted the lavender ribbon at its neck; the crisp satin sat in stark contrast to the bear's hazy black eyes, to its slightly worn ear and well-loved fur. A gift, once a comfort to a child of the City. A gift, once a comfort to Saint in the face of loss, in the face of— Breath caught in his throat; hands shook— Flashes of memory swelled in his heart. Osiris. His strong laugh. His deep, soulful eyes. The warmth of his smile. Of his touch. Memories of comfort, but all he could feel in this moment… was guilt. Intense and overwhelming, like daggers cutting through him, sharpness bleeding through sweetness. Saint breathed deeply and stared at the medical equipment around the empty throne before him. "The cost of my joy," Saint whispered, and he wept.
He has a teddy bear. He once gave it to a child, but someone returned it to him when he was grieving about Osiris, to comfort him, and he'd kept it. And he put it on Mithrax's throne because he feels guilt that Mithrax is suffering because he helped him and Osiris.
I'm ending it all.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
OOOAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
OH SICK, IT'S A CANON EVENT!
Honestly want to try some of the Drifter's cooking. Dude's been around for ages and talks about eating (questionable) things all the time. I'd assume that he can cook them because he'd probably have access to the right tools and such now that he's in the Tower.
Like Eris is visiting to talk to Ikora or something and she notices a light on in the closed Ramen shop only to find Drifter cooking up a midnight snack? Something like that.
