Seriously. It's like no government cares. They're happy for us to be killed and they won't bat an eyelid at the murder of PEOPLE in an environment they are FORCED to be in that is supposed to be SAFE!

SAY THEIR NAME: Nex Benedict, another 16 YEAR OLD was murdered in Oklahoma, news channels are deadnaming and misgendering them, just like with Brianna Ghey here in the UK. But I urge you to not let your grief drive you to despair. GET ANGRY. Do not become apathetic, do not let grief numb you. Stand united as a community, lean on each other, have each others back. Reach out to any trans individuals of any age and make sure they have support in some capacity. Speak with your family, your political representatives, your school, anywhere, with anyone, that may be able to make some change, whether big or small. Everything builds, that is the power of a movement, of solidarity. If you make life a bit safer for one trans youth once, then you may have saved their life that day. And that kid might then show some other kid that there is hope, and so they live as well. And it grows.

Kinda vent ig?

No part of this body is my own

Despite all the years I've lived in this body, it still doesn't feel like me, and I don't think it ever will

I'm not the right species. I'm not the right gender. Where is my fur? My paws? My ears and tail? Why do I not have a flat chest? Why do I not even smell right, the one sense that I used to be able to depend on?

This body isn't right. This society doesn't accept me.

Why can't I just go home? To the forest, to the snow covered pine trees, to the joy of bringing the pack a new kill?

Home to the wooden floors, the warm bed by the fireside, the human who could scratch just the right place behind my ears?

I just want to go home.

Mask tutorial part one!

Step 1: get scissors and card

Step 2: cut this shape, the rough size of the top half of your face

The width is how wide the mask will be, the cut out triangle in the middle is where your nose will go

Step 3: Cut out this shape for the muzzle

Step 4: construct the muzzle. You can use either tape or hot glue here.

It should end up looking like this:

Now we are going to go back to the flat bit and cut some eyes.

Step 5: get a felt tip pen. Take glasses and stuff off your face. Put the card on your face and use the felt tips to trace around your eyes while feeling like an idiot

Step 6: cut out the eyes around the bad guidelines you drew

Step 7: attaching the muzzle. You can use hot glue or tape, and depending on how much you squish it, you can make the muzzle wide or thin. Anyway glue/ tape the muzzle around the nose hole but preferably not over the eyes.

That's it for the base! I'll make another tutorial on how to fur it and put the strings on, but that's it for now!

Attention, alterhumans!!

…particularly those in the UK!

This is a post to gauge interest in an educational organisation for therians and other alterhumans! It would have a focus on homeschooling and be mostly online, but would also be very open to anyone attending school.

As it stands right now, it would likely encompass an online community (e.g. on Discord), an archive of resources, “after-school clubs” of therian activities, and regular voice and/or text chat sessions to help with studying, talk about alterhumanity, or just be a bunch of nonhumans hanging out! However, if the project became large enough, we could be looking at irl meet-ups – howls, hiking, wilderness walks, workshops and the like.

The organisation would also be able to support our humans with finding tutors and groups for home education purposes, and for those who are in school, supplementary lessons and tutors.

Basically, it’d be a big group of therians, otherkin, nonhumans and anyone under the alterhuman umbrella, for school purposes and also developing the ability to live in human society, without feeling othered or disconnected from their alterhuman identity.
