The Necklace Scene With Percy And Annabeth; This Scene Is So Much More Than Percabeth. I Am Sorry, It
The necklace scene with Percy and Annabeth; this scene is so much more than Percabeth. I am sorry, it just is. It's not about two kids falling in love just yet, it's about two kids who never had a friendship quite like this. Annabeth had Luke and Thalia but those were people she idolized. Neither she, Percy, nor Grover ever had a true friendship like the one they found on the original quest. This is two kids who started out barely tolerating each other and ended in the sense that they were all each other had. They weren't back in the human world thinking they were these dumb kids relating to no one. That look from Percy was the gravity of what he found. What he had been looking for his whole life. Two people who were choosing him despite all the reasons he may think they shouldn't. At 12, that feeling of belonging is everything.

HEY EVERYONE! I am doing an art thesis for university based on the narrative of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and I need people to take my survey in order to be able to complete the research of my project and be able to start the practical part. It’ll only take 5 mins but if you dont have time reblog this so more people can see it! Thank you 😭
Update: those who clicked or reblogged, i adore you, thank you ❤️
I'm crying ??????
The feminine urge to rewrite the heroes of Olympus series (specifically SON) and make it sadder (and more angsty)
Like Percy without Annabeth would go batshit insane right? Or should I say Perseus would go insane.
The whole Percy memory thing is kinda glanced over. He gets his memories back by MOA. The second he sees his Annie he’s okay. And then we’re done with it.
But what if it didn’t work like that? He loves Annabeth that bond hera wont break. But he doesn’t know everything about her. He knows thats his entire world. But he doesn’t know why.
Jason didn’t know about the legion. Or any of his time there. He still doesn’t have all his memories about that despite going home.
Why does Percy get that?
Imagine Him doing a move and leo being like “where’d you learn that?” And he just blanks, Luke’s name slipping from his brain.
Him back at camp, seeing someone (like clariesse or Katie. Not his best friend but they’ve definitely talked.) and them being happy he’s okay, and he just doesn’t know them. Them trying to remind him who they are. And he just doesn’t know.
Percy getting his Achilles curse memories back, and he doesn’t remember that its gone. Going headfirst into battle, unaware of the potential for injuries.
Percy hearing sally make a mean joke about gabe and he just doesn’t know who he is. He knows he hates alcohol. But not why.
Percy not remembering everything.
He knows what hurts but not why it does.
Yeah heroes of Olympus but sad
WHERES MY SON?!?!?!
“Wheres the pink poodle?!” “wheres the Stoll brothers??!” “Wheres Nico and Bianca?!!”
WHERE'S BECKENDORF. WHERE IS MY POOKIE. WHERE IS HE. WHERE'S CHARLES BECKENDORF, CHILD OF HEPHAESTUS, WHERE IS HE
I'm so sick and tired of people on this app calling Annabeth mid or saying Percy was way out of her league or like writing fan-fics where Annabeth is the kid that gets bullied in mortal school for being nerdy and ugly, but Percy is some greek god looking rizz lord; when Annabeth is literally the Child of the Goddess of War Strategies and head canonically a bad bitch. Like if there was ONE person who would for sure be able to stand up for themselves and had fairly low chances of getting bullied because they know how to give a good ass whooping, it's Annabeth. Yes she is smart and nerdy but she's also a badass. She was pretty funny and lighthearted a lot of the times too, but people tend to forget that and only remember her seriousness. Also didn't she punch some guy in the face and knocked him out for bullying Percy?
Plus she's a demigod. Greek gods are super attractive. Saying Annabeth is mid just means you're stupid. She's Beautiful. She's the child of a goddess. She can't not be beautiful. Percy Jackson is Not out of Annabeth's league. if you think he is, please shut up.
THIS!!!
imagine being someone at new rome university and not knowing percy is the same guy as “percy jackson, son of poseidon, two-time hero of olympus, former praetor” because the thought doesn’t even cross your mind. like… he’s percy. he’s a total frat boy. on a normal night, he walks into a party, refers to everyone as bro or dude, socializes with every living (and not-living) person in the room, makes at least 50 sarcastic comments, plays 12 rounds of beer pong, drinks way too much, and then skates around campus on his skateboard yelling “I LOVE NEW YORK” (which makes no sense, because they’re in california) until someone calls his girlfriend to come get him.
and then one day there’s an attack, and frat boy percy is all of a sudden a fighting machine. he’s yelling battle cries alongside the praetors frank zhang and hazel levesque as they lead everyone into battle. (why is he with the praetors? and why…. why in the world do the praetors seem to be following his lead?) his sword slashes through armies of monsters faster than you’ve ever seen. he’s controlling the entire river surrounding the camp, creating huge waves as tall as skyscrapers that crash down all around him, wiping out monsters and causing mass destruction to his enemies’ ranks. the sky is suddenly dark above you, ice-cold water droplets are slashing through the air, and the wind is blowing so aggressively that it’s making it hard to stand up steadily. because he’s somehow created a hurricane.
and he looks terrifying. you can feel the power radiating off of him. he’s like a god. or maybe a monster. it’s hard to tell. you’re a little scared of him, to be honest. but also in total awe, because it’s extraordinary. he’s extraordinary.
frat boy percy is not who you thought he was.
