I’m not here to teach (or educate) anything to anyone but only as a reminder about the benefits of nature which, has its own limits. Wilderness cleans our air, filters our water and provides home for human as well as for wildlife. So it is crucial for humanity, which is already to blame, to bring radical changes today before it’s entire extinction tomorrow. That is my only intention here folks. By instinct we used to think that all birds migrate and that it's a normal process. Sadly not all of them are still able to. Like all of us they get old and sometimes gain weight. Those ones who are force to stay the entire winter with us take a chance and count roughly on their survival skills.
I built some shelters for those brave ones who are left behind and continue to feed them but unfortunately most of them die. This is one sadly part of a bird's life. Like all of us. There's nothing more to do except enjoying their presence while they are here.

A white Baneberry plant has been found in a trail during our last excursion. This kind of wildflowers are popular in North America and extremely poisonous.
It is said that the plant contains cardiogenic toxins that can have an immediate sedative effect on the human cardiac muscle and ingestion of the berries can lead to cardiac arrest and death.
So, If you have one of these near your house and feeding birds like us, just be careful. It's an immediate death for them.
