Red Vs. Blue Face Headcanons! Since Y'all Wanted Em Out Before Season 19 Dropped!

Red Vs. Blue face headcanons! Since y'all wanted em out before Season 19 dropped!
In defense of Simmons not being a red haired twink: big buff DnD and science nerd.

And some extra notes under the cut:
You can take all these with a silly grain of salt, I'm not a long-time RvB fandom frequenter but did like some bits.
Simmons: Dutch-Irish but keeps getting called 'of a Latino persuasion' by Grif. Also funnily uses 'cracker'. (so mixed.) Cybernetics built from the same sort of stuff Lopez is made out of, visibly running down the left of his face, neck, ribcage, and arm. His arm worked the best for Grif because they're around the same height.
Grif: Too lazy to cut much of his hair, but it's necessary when his helmet doesn't properly secure. Also, a beard is beneficial for catching some little save-for-later snacks. Carving started out as a fidgeting task if he somehow couldn't sleep.
Donut: Just barely hits the twunk allegations in comparison as the lankiest out of a group of fat and buff guys, somehow more durable than all of them despite it and is still above average in build. Started really trying to compensate for his image because of his scar, which developed into really being able to love himself.
Sarge: LOVES his sergeant stripes. Don't tell him but his eyes might be blue. He will say they're grey, though. Don't ask about the bullet hole in his head, either. It's not that he doesn't want to talk about it, just that he'll probably go on a rant about Grif.
Church: Rest in piss Jimmy. Church doesn't naturally feel sleepy though, not like he has this body for long. The scar on his neck was smooth enough to not raise any alarm, and a lack of sleep may have hindered his fight-or-flight reflexes while he still lived...
Tucker: A few scars from his alien encounter, a glimmer in his eyes a slight indication of his connection with the blade-key along with the visor changes. Poor guy couldn't grow his hair long because of the helmet.
Caboose: Most head trauma of anyone ever, injuries hidden by his thick curly hair. Sure doesn't keep him down! It may contribute to a loop of him losing teeth and continuing to worry about the tooth fairy being mad at him, though.

makes sad noise think about sarge calling red team “my boys”

I guess it's a good a time as any to post these old doodles lol. Originally wasn't gonna post these at all because these are more so design exercises then properly done art that I'd wanna present but oh well they're neat IG
Basically I wanted to recreate rvb without any of the Halo elements. Keeping the sci-fi there but setting it in a completely original universe. Extremely obsessed with this concept tbh. If I ever wanted to actually do anything with these designs I'd definitely have to do some streamlining because I was mostly testing the waters with these. sci-fi is not my forte lol. I imagine it with sort of a early 90s retro futurism laser tag aesthetic
Anyway yeah that's it. If you wanna see me actually do stuff with these designs or wanna see redesigns of other characters let me know these were really really fun

SARDOYLE MAKES FOR THE BEST AUS DO YOU GET IT
thinking about red vs blue is crazy because it's like:
this is a story about how you can't keep chasing ghosts forever. there's alien/human mpreg.
holding onto the past is holding you back - you have to learn to let go and say goodbye. ed robertson from the barenaked ladies plays a guy who (jokingly?) tells his soldiers that if he weren't their CO he'd make them call him daddy.
family isn't always defined by appearances and you may find it in those you least expect. the aliens speak entirely in blargs and honks.
everything we do is driven by love - love for your current companions and loves that have been lost along the way. it has one of the most intense and longest running queer-baits i've ever personally witnessed.
veterans aren't given the proper support to be able to return to a civilian life, and this systemic issue causes problems for everyone in all levels of society. there's a homophobic bomb.
you can't change what's happened to you and the ones you love; you just have to find a way to keep moving forward. one of the main characters only speaks in poorly translated spanish.
everyone has the capacity to change and be better. it has one of the most convoluted and complicated time travel plots i have ever seen.
it's an incredible piece of media and proof that you can create something incredible with the limited tools available to you. there are chunks of it that are borderline unwatchable.
it's changed the way I approach storytelling forever. i can't easily recommend it to pretty much anyone.
