This one popped into my head this morning and I had to draw it, Tuckington brain rot goes hard rn.

(I made this one after posting but I've been laughing at it for a few minutes and wanted to add it so)

redrew an old peice today! (on accident)

made this bc I had just watched s18 and was positively miffed at what they did to my blorbos, drew the poses and then realised I was redrawing a piece from august last year (which is under the cut), very proud of how the armour turned out, first time using colouring pencils on a sketch, details turned out a lil fuzzy so I recomend zooming in on parts lol, but apart from that I'm really proud of this, especailly comparing it to the old one, I've made a lot of progress :]

(also as much as I still love this piece, I do now look at it and cringe at bits, mostly how the colours are and how they blend into the lineart lol)

So extremely obsessed with the concept of Wahs deciding he can try get back at Tuckers flirting and that 'two can play at that game' and then finding out that while yes, two can infact play that game, that doesn't mean he isn't serverly out matched.

Random example so that this makes sense:

Tucker's dancing around thier kitchen while making breakfast, and Wash comes up behind him, swaying the two back and forth in time.

Tucker giggles a bit and Wash thinks he's won but oh no, Tuckers turned around and now they're actually dancing and fuck, Wash can't dance, but Tucker can, and now he's leading, and oh fuck he can't abort mission bc Tuckers spinning and tossing him around like it's nothing and now he's far more flustered over that fact than Tucker ever was bc of what Wash did, and it a misson failed successfully.

But i also I can't decide if it's more fun if Tucker does know what Wash is doing and retaliating twice as hard on purpose to get that reaction, or if he just was no clue and is like 'oh! Wash wants some affection, cool, time to flirt with my bf :]'

Anyway, I'm succumbing to the brain rot again, until we meet again Tuckington nation.

Okay so I was thinking about the but in cannon where Tucker dances on the guys they just defeated, particularly the "where'd he learn how to dance?" Bit, because yeah actually, where did he learn how to do that?

He'd have to have a lot of free time, where he had nothing better to do, and where no one would bother to check what one of thier solders were up to. Sound familiar?

And then I was remembering the Tuckers rock stuff that happened back in Blood Gulch, especially Tex telling him he should be very ashamed. And yes, logically I know what that was trying to imply, but I can't get the idea of Tex spying on him behind the rock, expecting to see somthing she'd rather not, and then finding that he's just practicing some very bad dance moves back there out of my head. So I drew it :]

Back once again with the Tuckington hc's (I know, who would have guessed?)

I don't think they have a height/size difference, or at least not a noticeable one. To me they're both the same level of tall-ish, and just about the same build by the later seasons after training together for so long.

Wash does look taller though, however when Tucker decides to check he finds that he's actually taller by like three centimeters and OH BOY IS HE NOT GONNA SHUT UP ABOUT IT.

Like yeah, Tuckers younger than Wash by a couple years, maybe a little more, but he can fix his posture and look down his fucking nose at Wash if hes being annoying, which pisses Wash off to no end and I can just imagine shit like this happening regularly:

Wash: "Tucker, do you even hear yourself? Burnt food cannot be good for you-"

Tucker: straightens up, crosses his arms like Wash does during lectures, and raises an eyebrow.

Wash: (about to go get a stool) "NOW LISTEN HERE YOU PIECE OF SHI-

Anyway, that's my thoughts for today lol, not sure if most people think of them with a height difference or not but here's my suggestion, see yall later.

Okay, so I had another idea. And this time it comes with pictures :]

This came spinning off the idea of Tucker having a really acute sense of when he's being stared at, combined with the concept of Wash looking at people while he zones out, especially at inopportune moments.

Also I'd set this at the tail end of the crash site, after the whole "getting a grappling hook stuck to my balls" talk where they're just starting to figure eachother out/like eachother, while still in the same base.

Wash, up late bc he couldnt sleep, thinking about his still new friendship with Tucker and other important matters with blue team while looking at his asleep teammate:

This is my "I drew armour again" peice of the month lol. More waffling + a doodle under the cut!

So this one was supposed to just be a quick silly but rapidly turned into a few hours of my life spent on the most complicated armour design I've drawn so far, but I think it was worth it lmao.

Jensen is my personal favourite out of all the luitenants and the idea of her bonding very closley to Tucker as a local dad/chill rolemodel and alien "expert" is really funny to me because I know Simmons would be FUMING at the fact that a guy who calls himself Dr Fuck is his squad leaders favourite guy to talk to. Which is exactly why this image is now in my sketch book

Not really a big hc for today, but ive been thinking a little about the slight running joke that Tucker got various people in Blood Gulch to check rashes for him, and as someone with a weird fuckton of dermatitis type skin problems that also cause rashes/big irrtated skin patches, the idea of Tucker having eczema got in my head and now it's real to me. Get that poor boy some topical steroids please and thank you

Sure! I Haven't posted about them in a while but I miss them too so I'll just leave one here.

I hc Tucker as autistic and so obv the same applies to Junior, and I think they bounce vocal stims off the other while around the house, references or lyrics from songs or movies they both like especially, (mostly stuff that Tucker raised Junior on, i.e Ninja Sex Party songs, quotes from Resivour Dogs, there's probably some Bluey in there let's be real) and if one of the Reds and Blues is hanging around with both of them, they can both be set off at once, normally in unison, even if their in separate rooms. (I can't think of an example rn but I'm sure u get the picture)

Idk if this is anything but knowing that Junior also uses Bow Chicka Bow Wow in the show makes me think he also would have picked up other phrases and bits from Tucker lol.

Tucker's a big Halloween fan.

Back when he was a kid, he liked the candy and staying up late.

In college, he'd go to the most amazing bonfires and house parties. The whole nine yards.

In blood gulch, scaring Church and Caboose was always a bonus. VIC shipped in costumes and fabrics, so he got pretty good at tailoring.

He started to love going with Junior and seeing people ooh and ahh at his "costume".

Post-canon, he helps Kimball plan Halloween balls and the cadets go trick or treating because they've never done it before. (Sarge gives out the biggest candy bars, Simmons hands out apples.)

Okay, bit of a long one that went from headcannon to a fic snippet as I wrote it but whatever.

So, it's a pretty common and cannon supported (from what i recall) take that Tuckington as a pairing can read eachother like picture books, they know eachothers tics, are really good at spotting them, etc.

However, I find it to be best (and very funny mostly) if taken to the hardest extreme, to the point where their weird silent communication but just looks like straight telepathy from the outside.

I like to envison this happening on Chorus because I think it would happen alot at practice and stuff, and the luitenants would be the most weirded out by it, (unlike the other Reds and Blues because honestly they're used to it), usally going something like this:

(Ps, they're all out of armour for the sake of this scenario, just dont worry about it)

Wash is watching over practice, or rather he's supposed to be, his gaze instead catching on Tucker, maybe even tracking a little further down the aqua soilders torso than it really should as he stretches, preparing for his first lap.

Tucker glances over his shoulder mid stretch, barely catching the slight shift in the height of Wash's eyeline.

Tucker's left eye twitches, and his brows pinch slightly, ("Were you just?")

Wash's eyes widen just barely, relaxing away from his usual glare at training, and it's only for a half a second---

Tuckers already grinning, ("oh you so were.")and Wash's expression snaps back, attempting to hide the small panic of being caught as fast as possible. "I was not!"

"Yeah right! My eyes are up here, Wash!" Tucker called back, the rest of the training hall pausing to look between the two like a tennis match.

"I'll make you run laps." Wash threatened in one last ditch effort.

"What? So you can get a better view!?" Tucker mocked, standing up and already making a start on said laps.

Wash restrained a groan down to a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose tightly as he willed his face not to go red.

"Uh, sir?" Palomo questioned, suddenly beside him.

"Yes Palomo?" Wash replied, not looking up.

"What the fuck was that?" He followed up, and Wash finally glanced up to find almost the entire stadium staring at him with a confused look, all except for Tucker, who was happily running his laps around the gym.

Fuck.

Just saw @slyvester101's water park au post, and a, that's fucking brilliant, I love it, and b, seeing the love of the silly au ideas for the skittle soldiers reminded me of a zoo keeper au idea I had a little while ago, so here's that.

The idea mainly focused on Wash and Tucker, because what else do I write about, so I'll talk about them and what they're jobs are as keepers first. (also not all of the reds and blues are here, so feel free to come up with where you think they'd be)

-Tucker is their resident "Shit nobody wants to go anywhere near guy", primarily working with the big cats, and the few snakes they have there. He lives for working up the crowds during any feeding times or exhibitions, and has gained a bit of a reputation for it, turning into a slight attraction for the park.

-Wash sticks to the calmer side of the park, or at least as calm as it can get where they all work, usually found in Avery whistling back to the birds, or in their marine enclosures. However, he's one of the most researched at the park, and gets called in as a pseudo announcer for a lot of the parks shows, mainly Tucker's, which is where the real attraction for the crowd lies.

Wash makes little comments and jokes at Tucker during his shows, i.e "this strategy your seeing here is similar to Tucker's own mating efforts, which is to say ineffective," and other things along those lines, and Tucker usually flirts at him in response over their mics to get a rise out of him, which is really what the park goers come to see.

-Kai works at all of the interactive enclosures, mainly the small petting zoo area, and the tortoise exhibit where park goers can feed them and pat their shelves if the tortoises decide to come closer enough. Usually Tucker's not far behind her either, visiting her to gossip and bitch between shows.

-Carolina works in the antarctic section, polar bears, emperor penguins, a few specific kinds of seals, etc, her and Wash end up working together on a few enclosures so they spend a lot of time together, and as much as they claim not to, they gossip just as much as everyone else.

-Grif works at the sloth and lizard enclosures, and he will be damned if he has to be anywhere else, which has nothing to do with the fact that it's right next to where Simmons works at the monkey and orangutan enclosures, and Simmons loves talking to people about how intelligent they are to anyone who will listen, which is usually Grif.

-the squad leaders are frequent park goers, who are kind of hoping for a job there at some point, which all of the current crew claim to hate the idea of, but they've been subtly mentoring all of them with the skills and things they'll need to know to get hired.

-Kimball is the one managing this whole god forsaken place, don't ask about her, she's got enough going on as it is.

You can’t tell me Wash and Tucker don’t spout off dad jokes all day long.

Palomo: Hey, I’m curious—

Tucker: Hey Curious, I’m dad

Palomo: Are you serious?

Wash: No, he’s dad.

Palomo: Ugh! You guys are the worst

Tucker: I thought I was serious?

Palomo: That’s it! I’m done!

Wash: No, you’re curious

Tucker and Wash proceed to cackle at the symphony of groans they procure from everyone

Motorcyclist Tucker and Wash constantly knock their heads together because they want to kiss their boyfriend but keep forgetting they’re wearing helmets.

Wash will try to kiss Tucker’s cheek and accidentally hits him in the face because he’s still wearing his helmet. Tucker tries to kiss Wash’s back when he’s backpacking and just thunks against his shoulder really hard instead. They both try to kiss while they’re parked at a gas station and bonk their helmets together.

It doesn’t matter how long they’ve been riding for or how long they’ve been together, they keep bashing their heads together. They’re just really eager to kiss their boyfriend, okay? They can hardly be blamed if they forget to take off their helmets in the process.

Thinking about the duo we were robbed of

I think by the end of Tuckers arch they’d be the ultimate duo of making fun of church, also they’re my two favourite characters therefore they must be friends lol (ps like two seconds after this theoretically takes place they get into a scrap fight)

The Reds and Blues are assholes, that much is known by anyone who gets the pleasure of getting to know them.

But there are moments when that mask of theirs falls, where the feelings they have for their teammates get pushed up for all to see. Because when you spend years with the same ten people, getting to know their quirks, their history, spending hour after hour, day after day, you kind of get attached.

So it makes sense that after all the time spent together, all the years they spent teasing and joking and sitting around with each other with no reprieve, that they'd get a little protective of each other from time to time.

There's been days where someone says something mean enough to make Caboose cry and suddenly they have Tucker and Grif roasting them into oblivion and threatening their entire family line. There's times when someone grabs Tucker a little too roughly and make him wince and suddenly Wash is at their shoulder yanking them away with a glare that could turn a man to stone. There's incidents where someone starts shoving Simmons around and Sarge cocks his shotgun and fires at their feet until they scatter away.

Yeah, they're assholes to each other. Yeah, they don't always get along. But when it counts, when it comes down to it, they're always gonna look out for each other.
