I Found Some Old Marker Tests That I Never Shared! These Were Basically Tests For How Best To Get Skin

I found some old marker tests that I never shared! These were basically tests for how best to get skin tones with my limited range of marker colours, but I’m still pretty pleased with how the characters look. Especially Franz (the blond covered in blood). Even though he’s my character I find him nearly impossible to draw, and that picture is the only one that really looks like him. I only remembered I never shared these because I was trying to draw him and it would not go right and I had to dig out this picture for reference. I’m sorry Franz, I try.

Digly-dee digly-dee digly-dee!

Here’s a nice challenge, make a pokémon look interesting when it’s a cylinder with a nose on it. I think I’m doing okay. These will go up in my shop with the others when they’re painted!

Whats This? A Finished Pencil Drawing? Its True! I Started A New Part-time Evening Job At The University

What’s this? A finished pencil drawing? It’s true! I started a new part-time evening job at the university library, which is extremely quiet when I’m there, and I’m actually allowed to draw to pass the time. It’s amazing! I’m used to retail jobs where doing anything non-work-related is strictly verboten no matter how quiet the shop is. So anyway, here’s Fret looking slightly distressed in his birch grove, the product of sitting at the library counter with nothing better to do. I’d like to do a painting of him and Larkspur soon to show their proper colours. I’m fairly often guilty of designing characters with important colour schemes and then drawing them in black and white all the time.

The first fairy types! Not that Clefairy and Clefable were fairy types back in gen 1, it didn’t exist back then. They’re also the first nocturnal pokémon in this challenge! I have vivid memories of spending hours wandering Mt. Moon looking for a Clefairy, and then having to just throw pokéballs at it without weakening it at all because I’d over-trained my other pokémon. I got it in the end though! Did you know Clefable can walk on water? These two rare pokémon are now up in my shop with the others! (Except Metapod who has gone to a new home already!)

Anyone Remember That Really Awful Late-night Sketch Of The Vrega Doctor From 2014s Inktober? Well I Finally

Anyone remember that really awful late-night sketch of the vrega doctor from 2014′s Inktober? Well I finally did a decent one! Although I did just realise I forgot the horrible scar I gave him on his right shoulder. The doctor is also a priest (of Khukh), and is usually addressed as ‘grandfather’ as a sign of respect. He never, ever raises his voice. General consensus is that he’s probably seething with rage underneath, and the scariest thing the crew have ever seen was him taking a deep breath through his nose and saying ‘...you are trying my patience.’ (They’re completely wrong about this by the way, if he ever actually ran out of patience he’d probably just go and sit quietly in his room for an hour, but he finds it convenient to let the mistake persist.)

Ekans And Arbok Are The First Version-exclusives To Be Painted! Im Pretty Pleased With That Scale Texture.

Ekans And Arbok Are The First Version-exclusives To Be Painted! Im Pretty Pleased With That Scale Texture.

Ekans and Arbok are the first version-exclusives to be painted! I’m pretty pleased with that scale texture. I’m still a bit sad they only appear in Red, I loved snakes as a child and would definitely have liked an Arbok in my team. (What? Trade for it? Madness.) The teeny-tiny originals are available in my online shop!
