Inktober 2017 : Day 4 - fineliners and felt tip pen
Here’s someone we don’t see often (because he’s too hard for me to get on-model), Franz! Prompted by my nose being in bloody tatters after four days of this cold.

Inktober 2017 : Day 7 - mapping pen Caspian finds it harder to hold his human shape when he feels threatened. This one is a lesson in paying attention to ALL your materials. I was having really trouble with it for the first few passes, and I thought it was the pen misbehaving, but it turned out to be the INK. Always consider your pens, inks and paper!
Inktober 2017 : Day 10 - ink and water
The first ink and water picture of the challenge! Sweetpea is planting out acorns from his tree to help its children grow.
Intober 2017 : Day 2 - G-pen
The Mirror Twins have lots of friends to talk to. I promise I did actually do this on the 2nd! I have two jobs so sometimes I’m out of the house all day (literally from 6am to 10pm) so there’s no time at all to scan anything.
Here are some process photos for the portrait of Pocket Witch Gravity I posted a while ago. Whenever I post process photos it makes me realise how conventional my process is! I think literally the only thing that’s different to any of my friends is that I finish the line inking after the spot black, rather than before. Look out for some close-up photos of the comic as well!
Inktober 2017 : Day 5 - gel pen I think it hurts Jessie to channel lightning through her body like that, but it’s really the only combat magic she knows. One of these days I’ll have to work out what she wears when she’s not in uniform. She appeared when I was a teenager and still dressed all my characters in black, but now that I’m older I realise it doesn’t really suit her. Hmm.
