Inktober 2021, day 30 - gel pens
He always wakes up where the dead people are.
Back in 2020 I personified some succulents as a character design exercise. I did an echevaria (because I have one), an aloe (because my sister has one) and a pebble plant to round out the set. I think they’re pretty cute.
Part 6 of 3minJimin! My twitter followers were still studiously ignoring these sketches, but I was having a great time so I didn't care. These are:
Dynamite dance practice (cute and lovely version), I picked this frame because I remembered he was standing in a nice contrapposto, but I hadn't remembered he was pulling that face. The face was fun to draw too though.
Sammy requested Airplane pt. 2, inadvertently giving me just 3 minutes to draw the world's most confusing shirt. Seriously, what is going on with those sleeves??
Let us time travel back to 2013, and sketch baby Jimin from No More Dream (dance version). If you haven't seen early BTS you are missing out, it was wild.
Still on the babymins with War of Hormone. I wondered if my followers would stop respecting me as a serious adult if I admitted to unironically loving this song, but to be honest I think that ship sailed with the whole 3minJimin thing. They don't know what they're missing.
Inktober 2021, day 22, 23 and 24
Confession time; I didn't finish and/or skipped three days. My sister was visiting and I just didn't want to spend precious visit time drawing when I hadn't seen her in such a long time. The pencil sketch was as far as I got before she arrived on the 22nd, and then I did some quick lettering practice before she woke up on the 23rd and 24th. Take me away, Inktober police!
(I'll probably ink that sketch later.)
Another sketchbook spread from last year. These were also going to be gouache practice, but I realised they were much too ambitious and did them in watercolour pencil instead.
You can see the paper is a bit wrinkled in one of them, the sketchbook isn't really made for wet media!
